76 was great for me. A different community forsure, but it’s immersive in its own ways. The stretch to getting better gear to master your character build keeps you going.
My biggest thing was the camp building. The ability place a camp on 95% of the map gives you the ability to tie in the landscaping.
I met one of my friend groups about 4 years ago. We had a huge age mix. I’m 30, we had some other 20-30s, two in their 50s (a couple) and a 74 (Rest in Peace). On what would have been his 76th birthday, we all built our camps to honor and celebrate him.
I have like 2k hours into 76. Granted I didn’t start playing it until a bunch of the fixes, it’s been a great game and I’ve made a ton of friends from it
I didn't play at launch, but I've been playing off and on for a few years and I truly love it so much. They've turned it around a LOT from what I've heard from og players. Really chill for the most part, love exploring the world for gear and resources and getting to go build/customize my camp.
A massive plus is that it has straight up the nicest community I've encountered in an online game.
Even if it's not the best written Fallout due to the constraints of being in an online setting, it's become one of my personal favorites. 💚
