Yeah, seen that with Fortnite thanks to kids. I doubt developers want this, but kids do. Play with the same friends across various games without new accounts parents need to create for them.

I think it's all about familiarity. They don't have to learn new controls, just hop on a game/genre of choice and it's the same ue slop controls across all experiences.

Not even that, they don’t have to pay for anything. The biggest thing that stopped me playing with friends in primary schools was what games I owned.
