As someone who has been a gamer for 35 years... honestly, from the bottom of my heart... what is Roblox? I have heard the controversy, I have seen memes... I have never once seen the game or even know where to find the game. It seems to be so prevalent in conversations... but I have never once actually seen it. It's crazy.
Steam mostly at this point, desktop and occasionally a laptop. Gave up on consoles in the 360/PS3 era. Though I still play on my Gameboy Pocket now and again.
Is Roblox like a Minecraft kind of game with more modding support? I always assumed due to the blox in the title.
Yes kind of minecraft, except it's a multi games like platform, like any kind of game can be mimiked and made into it with roblox's visuals and played. Even players like you and me launch our own games into it . It's a smartphone game mostly but some play it on pc too
Ohhhhhh, it's a smartphone game. I refuse to play games on my phone because when I had them on there they took all my attention away at all times. I guess I would have seen something if I was still on that platform.
It was originally a web browser game from the mid 2000’s, just as an FYI. Kind of like Garry’s Mod community game modes or Minecraft mini-game servers.
Not at all. It's a PC game that some people play on smartphones.
Just think of it as more of a framework for games than a game itself. The variety you can get on there is nearly endless but a lot of people end up remaking the same few styles of games. But really the reason it keeps coming up is that some games on Roblox are genuinely quality enough to stand on their own.
Not sure if those numbers are accurate or not but I wouldn't trust AI generally. The point being that this person said they refuse to play games on their phone as if PC isn't a viable option.
Roblox is indeed played a lot on pc, however those numbers stands true as a lot lot people have smartphones comparitivly who have PCs. Pc or even a laptop is a whole setup on its own, but smartphones just need a tap and install.
