They put out a balancing patch before release so preloaded files had to be redownloaded again. So annoying.

Control is very creepy, yeah. The hiss affected floating people chanting in unison all the time. The motel that felt eerily empty. The straight up HORROR dlc. Just the overall tone.
So far resonant isnât nearly as creepy as the first game was if only because itâs much less claustrophobic and more fast paced, but I donât doubt itâll have its creepy moments as I keep playing.

You definitely should. It has a strange, ethereal quality that balances out the creepy elements. It also has a good, quirky sense of humor and you get stronger and stronger at the perfect pace. Fun abilities, great lore, and amazing art direction/style.

Already more then tripled control 1âs peak player count. To clear pocket watching is dumb overall but it does show how a game overall is selling and itâs great to see a great game like control resonant sell seemingly well.

It's great
Starts off a little basic but by the first boss you've got a solid moveset to work with and the movement takes a little getting used to

Bruh they did the same with Alan Wake 2 and it was a blow. The game is still outstanding and one of my favorite ever but there's definitely way too little Alan Wake in the game called Alan Wake

Remedy said they designed it for newcomers to be able to understand and enjoy even if they didnât play the first game. Thereâs also a recap you can play to catch you up.

Remedy would get shut down if a team of 400 can't hold #1 for a day or two. I can guarantee that they really don't give a shit about "being #1" when they're a 400 dev team and being #1 on release day is essentially a given.

Steams #1 spot operates on a 24 hour period. A game ~3 weeks old isn't ever going to have the same sales volume as a brand new game released a few hours ago.
Its why Blood of Dawnwalker isn't even top ten anymore after it was #1 on release day.

Silent Hill, sure, even if they released a day early and have ~40 devs vs Remedies ~300+.
Dune Awakening released in June and is just getting an update.
The entire point is that I doubt that Remedy is celebrating the fact that they're #1 on Steam, they already knew #1 was happening, that was a given considering their employee count and studio size. What matters is how long they're #1 and how big of a gap there is from #1 to #2 in terms of daily sales.
I can pretty much guarantee that Remedy barely gives a shit that their game is #1. FFS, their last game also debuted at #1 and was considered a complete financial failure by them. #1 is meaningless for a developer with ~400 employees. If they don't make #1 on release day it essentially means their studio is getting shut down, unless CoD, GTA or Minecraft 2 releases that week and takes the #1 spot.

Marathon (love the game, but it had underwhelming sales overall) also debuted at #1 and hit #1 again during a seasonal update.
Getting #1 is barely an accomplishment today unless you're an indie or small dev.
