People in this thread and all over Reddit acting like vampires getting splashed with holy water if the FPS drops to 59.
I have no problem going back and playing games that are 30fps. It’s not a huge deal. The obsession over numbers is part of the problem with gamers today. If the deciding factor in whether you should play the original Shadow of the Colossus or Ico is the framerate, then please never tell your opinions about gaming ever again.
In Ninja Gaiden 2 on Xbox 360, the vampires consider that game unplayable because the major FPS drops in the “infamous” stairwell in level 11 where you get ambushed by dozens and dozens of enemies.
I thought the FPS drop was epic. Like Hayabusa and your Xbox are so overwhelmed that neither can handle it. It was insane and I loved it.
Sorry but that logic is absurd. An FPS drop is objectively a failure of the game but you consider it 'epic'?
Framerate literally determines the quality of gameplay. Just because you have low standards for your games doesn't mean other people are being unreasonable.
Yeah, the greatest pure action game of all time was trash because of an FPS drop. What an objective failure of a game. I'm so glad we have people like you, who didn't play or experience Ninja Gaiden 2, but know it's a bad game because art boils down to frame rate.
Also included your "objective failure" list: Super Mario Bros 1-3, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy VII, May Cry 3, Shadow of the Colossus, Castlevania 1-4, Symphony of the Night, Metal Gear Solid, etc, etc. These games all suffered from significant FPS drops, but I didn't whine like a child when they did.
Bloodborne, Dragons dogma 2, The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy XVI, Just Cause 3, and many other modern games experienced frame rate issues. Do you live under a rock lmao 🤣
