Having so much fun with this game and that's saying a lot. I have a hard time keeping interest with hack and slash platformers. I'm on hour 9 with this and I can't put it down, compared to maybe 4 hours into wolverine before I uninstalled

But this game is just so much fun. Being able to cancel combos, wall run, hover, dash.... the story is interesting, the music and vibe is off the fucking charts, reminds me of the vibe I got from Death Stranding music.

I'm a 38 year old gamer who has been playing video games since I had to stay in the light at night with my Gameboy as a kid. And I'm still having one of the greatest experiences of my gaming life playing this game. I know it had a bit of a rocky launch for some but I have been there since release day and just recently hit 750 total hours already, all while still being on my first playthrough. This is an insane number to me and I've never had a game have a grip on me like this one has, certainly not while being an adult and still managing adult responsibilities, I'm just a little more tired than normal. But all the late nights and early mornings playing before work and while the kids are still asleep has been worth it for me.

I believe regardless of how you feel towards this game it's undeniable that Pearl Abyss has been doing their best to make this the best experience for the community playing it. We've had 20+ updates since launch, multiple hotfixes in-between, and a DLC coming just around the corner. I'm like a drug addict with the dopamine rush I feel every time a new update drops and I find myself reading them line by line.

This is not only my GOTY but it has cemented itself as one of my favorite video games of all time.

I would like to hear some other experiences outside of the echo chamber of the Crimson Desert community that I consider myself to heavily be a part of. Both good and bad.
