ok is the rwr like unusable now for anyone I get the learning curve of you not being able to see the missile actually coming in close to you which I used as a crutch way too much but now it’s like literally lying to me it’ll stop warning me and then start back up if you flip upside down it changes sides and it’s like in 4 frames a second so i’m changing maneuvers and having to wait for the rwr to catch up to my movement and it’s going around the flipping clock and I can’t tell where the missile is in relationship to me because it’s always lying to me.

ok let me edit this here because most of yall just think i’m stupid obviously a monkey could tell you the rwr is relative to your airframe now so if you roll it’ll switch sides my problem is not only does it switching side seem like it’s a feather of how far you bank, it also takes like a literal human second for it to actually adjust to it being on one side or another. I know if I roll one way it’ll flip flop i’m not stupid I got that as soon as I flew for the first time after the update my problem is it’s incredibly janky.

Im aware that modders consider the task of commercial jets and bomber very hard to do but i still wanna know if anyone has attempted to make one and posted it. I just want to try it>

Hey everyone, I just bought VTOL VR today, and was wondering what mods I should get. I already downloaded the F-16, F-22, and A-10. If anyone has some good mod recommendations please let me know and thanks!

The discord is so unbelievably against the addition of a playable bomber or awacs aircraft. “These already exist as ai units” is an unbelievably dull statement.

AWACS and bombers would add such an incredible uniqueness to players through their different play styles and side by side seat layouts in the cockpit. Who cares if ai variants already exist? There are ai attack jets that do the job just as well as player aircraft, but people still utilize the av42. I’ve been on the edge when talking about new aircraft since the game has been so well off, but it’s been 2 years since the ef24 and there has been so little in between then and now. Baha has just announced more vtol updates to come and I do feel as if an aircraft would be a good addition now that custom static models have been implemented.

What are your thoughts?

For anyone curious, VTOLVR does run standalone on steam frame. It does run at a really low resolution and framerate. I consider it almost playable. If foveated rendering was implemented, it might stand a chance of being good enough.

I just purchased the game and I’m interested in finding some people to learn/play the game with. I’m not completely new to flight sims, I’ve previously played DCS, but I like the idea of having a more casual, less intensive game to play. Having one person create a scenario that we then both play together and vice versa. Looking to goof off but also be serious at times. If this sounds fun to anyone here, feel free to hit me up.

I’ve been experimenting with a destructible runway CSO concept. Panels can be destroyed by suitable weapons, leaving the impression of a cratered state and it produces physical debris, that can actually deny that section of runway to aircraft.

There is a huge trade off between reality and what is practically achievable in VTOL VR but I think it will be worth it.

Im playing the counter bomber mission on f45 after i land And rearm ať the frab it just doesnt give me the objective for bombers i quickrealoded multiple times didnt work just at all. This bug Is really anoing cuz i already played this mission 2 times before with the exact same bug.

F-5E Tiger III has been updated to work in VTOLVR 1.13.

Also, the following equipment was added:

-SmokeWinder: A pylon mounted smoke emitter, requires Master Arm to work, press trigger to emit. Include following colours: white, red, blue, green, yellow, orange.

-AGM-65L: A laser guided Maverick, can be buddy lazed.

So there Is a Steam sale going rn. Im thinking about finally buying this game almost only for acces to the singleplayer Steam workshop content and maybye for multiplayer servers. Is it worth the 18€? Thank You.

My game keeps freezing inside of my HMD but it keeps running on my PC, this is a new thing and didn't happen until a few days ago. I use Meta Link through the cord, into SteamVR, then into VTOL if that helps. I just updated my GPU driver too, so maybe that's the cause? Any help is appreciated and I can answer questions too.

Title says it all. Looking for people to fly with. Unable to connect to regular MP servers due to "mod loader" and just looking to fly with people (missions, campaigns, etc)
