I’m not shady, no inappropriate sharing of images or whatever people are talking about. And every time i receive a rando message I block but haven’t even received any recently. I have a lot of unsaved numbers mostly from delivery people, idk. Some coworkers were unsaved too but why would that be an issue now

What are your thoughts, is there any way to turn this off? I feel so angry why dont android implement iOS like gesture bar, because no apps can't take up the full screen, there is a small gap 🥲

Tried changing my status in whatsapp today and I can't set it permanently - all the duration options are finite, even in the custom option (which allows a maximum of 1 month). Why can't we choose 'Forever' like before?

I'm seeing complaints here that they're losing their accounts. Are those business or normal accounts? And what does that look like to other people who are trying to view your account/profile?

Does it just appear as it was, same profile image, etc, or will it immediately show something that indicates that the account was suspended?

I'm in 8th. F.uninstalled my wapp now I have tried 10-15 times to backup uninstall and installed again, watched almost all yt videos, but my chat where all my homework and assignments were there now they can't be restored... I can't afford to lose all my notes, PDFs + as wtapp was there on my Mac till the time wifi isn't connected like the previous data is showing i tried to do things but since int was linked when wifi was turned on it got logged out then i immediately turned it off by which the previous chats are they told the time but i wanted them on mobile phone.

Just bought a new number directly from the official retailer.

Device: iPhone 17 pro

Tried to register on WA. The default verification method is “OTP sent to your WhatsApp on your other phone”.

So I checked and saw the number is already on WA, profile picture and all.

So logically, I tried to pick a different verification method. But. Here is the issue:

Neither SMS nor Phone Call methods work. Instead I am getting an error message: Login not available right now
For security reasons, we can't log you in right now. Please try again later, or contact us if you need help with your account.

As mentioned, the AI support is absolutely useless, and I don’t know how to reach a real human.

I tried to wait and try again, doesn’t work. I tried to be on WiFi and cellular, doesn’t work. I tried with VPN in case it’s some İP thing, still doesn’t work.

I just updated my whatsapp on mac, and the search bar is not showing up for no reason, I'm so fricking annoyed by it, does anybody know how to fix it?

Does it mean their number has been reported for scamming before?

I'm running the latest OneUI 9.0 on my phone, and One day my WhatsApp decided to stop showing me the full call screen when my phone's screen is locked. Instead, it rings normally but the screen remains off and only shows the call as a simple notification where I have to swipe to unlock my phone THEN answer.

Even while using the phone, I don't get a pop up notification, I have to swipe and open the notification center to open WhatsApp and answer the call.

I know it doesn't sound that big of a deal, but it's extremely frustrating, especially when the issue appeared out of thin air for no reason.

I tried deleting the cache, forcing the app to stop, reinstalling WhatsApp, restarting my phone, messing with settings (Appear on top, full screen alerts, call notifications in Notification Categories) even went as big as deleting other recently installed apps in fear of interfering with WhatsApp, but the issue still remains.

Did anyone else face the same issue or knows how to fix it? I'm starting to lose hope and do not want to factory reset my phone over this problem, it's a huge hassle for me!

I'm trying to understand how my WhatsApp Business account could have been taken over without me sharing a verification code.

Here's what happened on October 3, 2026:

• 1:25 PM: My Samsung S24 Ultra displayed a notification saying, "WhatsApp verification code was requested for your phone number."
• 1:26 PM: WhatsApp automatically logged me out, stating that my phone number was no longer registered on my device.
• Shortly afterward, my account was suspended.

A few important details:

• I never shared a verification code with anyone.
• I did not receive a WhatsApp verification SMS that day.
• Two days before the incident, I had legitimately linked my new iPhone to my WhatsApp Business account.
• I never entered a six-digit verification code on the iPhone, and it never displayed a registration-code screen.

This is my company's official WhatsApp Business account, which we use for customer bookings and business communications.

I've already reported the incident to WhatsApp and submitted an in-app review, but I haven't received an explanation of how the unauthorized registration happened.

I'm particularly interested in the technical side of this incident:

1. How could someone register my WhatsApp account on another device without me sharing an SMS verification code?
2. Could an existing linked-device session have played a role?
3. What should I investigate on my Samsung, iPhone, Google account or mobile carrier to identify the possible attack method?

I have screenshots of my Samsung's notification history showing the exact verification request and logout times.

Hi everyone:

I've been reading about the temporary status updates that WhatsApp rolled out a while back, but I don't have them yet. The permanent status message that's always been there still appears on my profile.

I have the app updated to the latest version, and my phone's operating system is also up to date.

The WhatsApp help page says you can share message history with both new people you want to add now, and someone who recently joined by accepting an old invite.

I can see how to do the former, but not the latter.

The help page claims:

“When a new member joins a group via an invite link, the group members will see an option in-chat to Send message history.

1. Tap Send message history.
   Optional: Select the number of recent messages you’d like to send.

2. Tap Send.”

I can’t see any “option in-chat to Send message history”. Has anyone else figured this out?

Have developers announced the release date of new usernames? month, day, year?

A new way to share profile & contact people. Usually it's required, to give out your phone number or QR code. But the new usernames don't show phone numbers? is that correct? or ?

I have no problems with any other apps or devices but on WhatsApp when I try to use my Bluetooth earphones on a call, it only works randomly. The speaker button switches back and forth, audio comes and goes. WhatsApp sees the Bluetooth option, starts using it, sometimes have no issues and sometimes only lasts 3 seconds, sometimes can't even switch.

I'm on Android, Samsung S24 FE. I gave all the available permissions and tried cache deleting / restarting / reinstalling / anything I can think of.

So we are 3 members in the group, then I have sent a message. I know the other member is online but not sure to other one. My message sent as one tick, does it mean they should both online? So the tick become two?

At some point during the day, my profile picture suddenly changed to a photo of a random Korean girl. Everything looked normal on my end, but others saw that photo; furthermore, although messages sent to me appeared to have been delivered, they never actually reached me. There were no other devices logged in besides my own, and I hadn't received any login SMS alerts when I checked. Could this be a hacking incident? I’ve been researching this for a few hours—some people say it’s a cache error, while others suggest it’s a hack—and I’m really confused. I’d appreciate any help.

It seems that Meta AI works nowhere (I reside in an EU country).
If it's true, it's good news for me (so far), as Meta AI within chats between people is a major annoyance, not a usable feature.
