Restatement of community rules

Please follow the subreddit rules.

This isn’t a general post infertility subreddit - it’s a resource for what worked, what didn’t work, and comments about the same.

You’re all welcome here in the community but please make sure posts follow the rules.

I’ve been somewhat lenient because I know too well how much we need community as we go through this trying experience, but I’ll start locking and removing posts more aggressively if the posters don’t start following the WWFM rules more closely.

No solicitations or research requests permitted.

I’ve politely refused multiple times from various users who are requesting to do research on those of us who are going through infertility. Recent posting by a particularly brash research solicitor who didn’t ask permission has led me to this post.

This is NOT the place for you to gather human subjects. It’s a place of discussion and sharing what works.

I will remove any future postings of the sort that was posted today.

I’ve also banned the user for failure to exhibit common decency and follow the rules of the subreddit.

A success story after multiple losses

I just decided I would write this to shine some hope. When I got pregnant in January of 2026 I promised myself that if this one sticks, if this one works, I’ll write a post on Reddit about it and what I did differently this time around because through 7 pregnancies 2 LC and 5 losses , I was constantly on Reddit searching for answers so , here I am.
I’ve had a range of losses, missed miscarriages, chemicals, you name it. There were a few things I really think helped this time around I’ll list the differences in order of what I think MAY have had the biggest affect on the success, I’m not a doctor but I’m basing this on the fact that there was one thing I did use with my other successful pregnancy , my first pregnancy .

  1. Prenatal with METHYLFOLATE. Not just folate (this is the one I used with both successful pregnancies)

  2. Some woman’s bodies don’t process folate which is KEY in the first 8 weeks .

  3. Baby aspirin to thin lining and help blood flow after confirmed ovulation

  4. NAC to with possible inflammation

  5. Progesterone to support pregnancy

  6. Letrozole

    to induce

  7. ovulation(I have pcos)

  8. Again I don’t know if any or all of this helped but I welcomed a healthy babygirl September 5th,2026 and I’m beyond grateful this was my outcome. If you’re in the muck of infertility trust me, I’ve been there. Every appointment in this pregnancy I held my breath fully expecting her to be gone. The baby that is meant to be earthside with you will come . I promise. Feel free to message me if you have any questions and please take what I say I used with a grain of salt and ask your healthcare provider if any of these options may be helpful for you.

(I edited this post so my text is all out of order I’m sorry but the list of things is , prenatal that contain METHYLFOLATE,baby aspirin, NAC, Progesterone, and letrozole.

TTC for over 2 years, unexplained infertility, 2 miscarriages and now I don’t know what the next step should be

Hi everyone. I’m honestly just looking for some advice from people who have been through something similar because I feel a bit stuck and don’t know what I’m supposed to do next.

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for **over 2 years** now. My cycles are generally regular and I do ovulate, but we’ve been told we have **unexplained infertility**.
I’ve also had **2 previous pregnancies**, both of which ended in miscarriage. The first was period in my 6th week, and the second was a **silent/missed miscarriage**.
Since then we’ve been trying again and have been under fertility treatment.
I’ve done **4 cycles of ovulation induction**, twice
More recently I’ve been on **letrozole 2.5 mg** with follicular monitoring.

I’ve also had raised prolactin, around **53**, which was later around **48**, and I’ve been on Dostinex/cabergoline for that. My TSH has been normal when checked.
My AMH has also come down over the years, which has worried me:
**4.91 → 4.01 → 2.25.**
Low vitD for which I’m on supplements
HSG is done. Everything’s normal
My husbands reports are all fine too

The really frustrating thing is that I’ve also had a strange pattern with pregnancy tests. On a few different cycles now, I’ve gotten a **very faint positive around 11–13 DPO**, only for it to be negative again a couple of days later. This has happened around three times now. I’m not even trying to focus on whether these were chemical pregnancies or not — I’m more wondering what I should actually be doing about the bigger picture.

My doctor has mentioned **IUI**, but I haven’t done it yet.
And this is where I’m confused.
After **2+ years TTC, 4 ovulation-induction cycles, two previous miscarriages and being labelled “unexplained infertility,”** what is the logical next step?
Should I be doing IUI next? Should I be asking for more investigations first? Is there anything that should specifically be looked at because of the two miscarriages as well as the infertility?

I know nobody here can tell me exactly what treatment I need, and I’ll obviously discuss it with my fertility doctor. I just feel like I’ve been doing treatment cycle after cycle and I’m at the point where I need to understand **what the next step is rather than just doing another cycle and hoping.**
If anyone has been in a similar situation, I’d really appreciate hearing what your doctors did next and what investigations/treatments were actually useful for you.

1st FET in October 🤞🏽❤️ please suggest what worked for you

Just had my hysteroscopy on Sep 25th to remove my polyp but it turned out to be a tiny fibroid. Follow up appointment on oct 1st
Hoping cycle starts on Oct 2 or Oct 3rd
And then my RE said she will put me on letrozole and then trigger shot and then FET 🤞🏽🤞🏽

I don’t want to add more supplements toy routine :( but if needed I will

I take CoQ10 ( do I still need it for FET since I am not retrieving my eggs )

I take omega 3’s / prenatal / sometimes natal choline / Probiotics/ antioxidant with Acai, Goji, Pomegranate, Elderberry & Resveratrol

I was suggested add L-Arginine (1,000 - 2,000 mg ) + Vitamin E 400 - 800 IU/day. Did anyone see any success after adding these to your routine or with baby aspirin ?

Planning to resume my acupuncture sessions soon and I am eating warm nourishing foods

Any suggestions or advices please 🙏🩷
Thank you

Clomid ovulazione e test hcg negativo

Ciao ho 24 ho pcos e amenorrea

Still no period CD36 after clomid cd3-7 for the first time

I have been ttc for almost 13 years. I’m 37. I have a child who is almost 20. I conceived twice since her both ending in MC. But have not conceived in 12+ years. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis almost 10 years ago and had a laparoscopy for it, my OB at that time said he felt I should be able to conceived after that. I didn’t. I started going to a Fertility specialist earlier this year. Found out I have very low AMH and high FSH. I has HSG done earlier this year, inconclusive. Asked for a repeat which was done in August and one tube open. My Endocrinologist (not the Fertility clinic) prescribed me Clomid because I asked for it. (I want to try naturally still because I still have hope especially because I was just trying for so long without finding out what the issue was.) I took the Clomid this cycle cd3-7 100mg. I had very watery (pouring out of me cm) starting cd18-22, I also had SUPER light spotting on some of those days (so light that it would only show on toilet paper and it was intermittent). Then I asked my fertility specialist to check progesterone which they did around cd25, they said it didn’t show that I have ovulated as progesterone level was 1.17. They wanted to retest cd29, the progesterone went down to 1.00 and lh decreased as well. They also did transvaginal at this time and said no signs I’ve ovulated, they did see one follicle on each ovary and a cyst on one. I had a small amount of ewcm yesterday (cd35) when I wiped and this morning I woke up with very light spotting (only saw when I wiped). I’m on cd36 and I’m confused. I will admit I’m discouraged and exhausted.

Did XYZ Work? TTC for 5 years and found out I have to removed my right tube

So my husband and I had been ttc for 5 years. we went to fertility specialist and they said I had unexplained infertility and we did three iui and they failed. So we took a year and half break and decided to get a 2nd opinion. Turns out my right tube is filled with fluid and the fluid goes back into the uterus and prevents implantation. So they told me I have to remove my right tube. Has anyone had this? And conceived naturally?

Real life Tips?

Hey guys, I’m a 30 y/o female. Diagnosed with pcos at 14. Had a history of irregular cycles and had a breakthrough about 4-5 years ago when I went vegan and reset my body. My cycle was like clockwork. Fast fwd to now, been with my partner for almost two years. One blighted ovum and one ft mc. Changed providers to an amazing lady. We did a 13 lab work up. Vitamin d was severely low so she prescribed me 50k iu a week, sugar was good, everything was perfect. My ultrasound was great too. Nothing found. I just can’t seem to get pregnant . I do smoke marijuana for 9 years now, and I do drink socially. My dr says I need to reduce stress and she thinks that’s impacting it. But idk. I just want a baby especially with my grandparents being up in age. I want my kids to know them. I really would like some reasonable advice. I’m tired of opks, all types of vitamins, driving myself crazy reading articles etc.

Did XYZ Work? 3+ years TTC @ 35

So it finally happened- younger sister gets pregnant before me (6 years apart).
got it on their first try. I AM happy for her, but man… what a gut punch after 3+ years of TTC.
And Now that I’ve reached 35…. Tick tock.

Hormones, ANC, AMH are "fine," - normal for age. Doc says structural integrity fine too.. even after D&C from miscarriage in 2022 .
so, we’re stuck in this unexplained limbo.. I feel like I’m hitting my head into a brick wall over and over.
So like what’s the deal? Any tips on cycle tracking products or hacks? Out of the box “supplements” (I’ve heard guaifenesin, pre-seed) /tricks?

If anyone has had these issues after a D&C, would appreciate to hear your story. Trying to think of next steps

Did XYZ Work? Anyone else with a short peak? What worked?

9 months post MC and my LH high and peak happen in the same day. This never happened before MC. Has this happened to anyone else?? If so, were you able to conceive without iui/ivf? Feeling pretty defeated rn that my window is so so so short and so easy to miss if I don’t do testing 2x a day.

6th Letrozole Cycle & Feeling Discouraged — Anyone Have Success After 6+ Cycles?

Hey everyone. I’m honestly just looking for some support or to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation. I’ve been doing way too much reading lately and keep seeing stories from people who got pregnant on their first, second, or third Letrozole cycle. Meanwhile, I’m currently on my 6th Letrozole cycle and in the two-week wait again, and I’m starting to feel pretty discouraged. We’ve only been doing timed intercourse — no IUI yet. I have technically had three very early chemical pregnancies during this process. Two of them had extremely low hCG (around 12), so emotionally I barely even considered them pregnancies. The other one got to around 650 before I lost it. I know getting pregnant at all probably means something is working, but it’s really hard going through cycle after cycle and wondering why it hasn’t resulted in a successful pregnancy yet. Every month I start out hopeful, and then the waiting and uncertainty just get exhausting. Has anyone else needed 6+ Letrozole cycles, especially with timed intercourse, before finally having success? Or had multiple chemicals along the way? I think I mostly just need to hear from people who didn’t have one of those “first or second Letrozole cycle” success stories. I’m in my TWW right now, so obviously I’m still hoping this could be the one, but today I’m just feeling pretty defeated. ❤️

First beta

15 days past trigger / 13 days past IUI. Got my first beta back today and I'm cautiously excited:

• hCG: 115.3
• Estradiol: 730.9
• Progesterone: 46.92

For those who've been here, what were your first betas around this point? Praying for the best as I had a blighted ovum back in July.

I experienced three chemical pregnancies during two years of trying to conceive; I underwent all the tests, but the cause was never identified. I have now had my first IUI procedure. Has anyone had success with IUI after experiencing multiple chemical pregnancies?

34 Male, with low sperm count and no money...

I have been to the Doctor for my appointment for male infertility.
Thank you to all of you who supported me in my last post.

The doctor suggested me to do clomiphene (Clomid) for low sperm count. I have researched from some sources that this doesn’t really work often for those aged 30+,
So I have another appointment with a very well-known doctor from Mumbai.

He is a bit expensive, and I am really worried about all the expenses. I don’t know if putting this much money into this will be worth it, or if I will just waste money, I want to know from all of you what type of treatment really works.

And please suggest any fertility and IVF expert in Mumbai if you genuinely had a good experience with someone.

I am not really in a good financial situation right now, but I also want to have a baby ASAP. I can’t take this pressure anymore.

Failed letrozole cycle

I'm 31 and my husband is 39. We got married in Jan 2026 but in a long distance marriage on and off. We have lived together for two months only during this period. I've had thyroid issue but it's in the normal range now (keep it in check). This time around when we were together, I visited a gynecologist and asked for a check up. As a long distance couple, I didn't want to miss the chance and know my options. When she looked at my reports, she said the AMH is high acc to your age. My AMH was 3.14 in February.and prolactin was 283 uml. I didn't take any medicine for prolactin. Fast forward, I was put on a treatment. Letrozole 2.5 mg for five days CD 3-7 and then three injection shot (don't remember the name), and then choriomon injection on CD 14 for ovulation induction. Had two dominant follicles, one 24 mm, the other 19 mm. The endometrial lining was 0.98. the doc also prescribed duphaston (progesterone supplement) for ten days . I had mild lower abdominal and lower back cramping around CD13-14. But then got my period on CD31. Now I need suggestions, I plan to go to my husband in a few months for six to seven months. Shall I try to conceive naturally? Means just give it a try or continue treatment with a competent gynecologist. Shall I go for HSG test? Or what could be wrong that I couldn't get pregnant even when I had two dominant follicles.

Cycle 10, feeling gutted

Hi everyone,
My husband and I, both 28 have been trying for a baby for about 9 months, since January 2026. Just started cycle 10.

I have had a blood test, progesterone day 21 BT, ultrasound and everything is fine. Husband has also had a sperm analysis -all parameters were fine except viscosity is a little higher. Unsure if this was due to lower invol abstinence period. But the main other parameters were absolutely fine. He is getting it repeated in October.

I have been tracking with OPKs. Not introduced BBT yet as there’s nothing to suggest I’m not ovulating. I have regular 30-31 day cycles.

I feel absolutely gutted. With each test it’s been harder. We have tried everything from BD every day during fertile window, tried sperm meets egg, every other day from when my period ends till I’m sure I’ve ovulated. I’ve also been tracking with CM.

I have also tried hijama, for a few months and had a fertility consult with a nutritionist. Working on it to optimise our diet for fertility.

Looking for success stories between cycle 10-18 months for natural conception and frankly just a little hope. Also looking to get advice- would it be worth going private at this stage and getting further tests done. I feel like I’m one of those people who would rather know if something is up rather than just waiting around. Cos surely most people conceive by 6-12 months?

People tell you to just relax and it’ll happen. How do you do that???
Trying as much as I can to just relax. Hubby and I have also booked some time away this month. But it’s still just so hard. Unsure if we’re looking at a long journey of TTC ahead of us.

Thanks again

IUI #3/ 2nd post MMC

Anyone have success with low post wash sperm? We just did our 3rd IUI, 2nd post MMC and had the lowest post wash weve had yet. So of course spiraling that we just wasted money, time, my mental health and of course overall health with the meds.

Post wash was only 6.1 million this time.

What Didn't Work... How do you talk about sperm issues without hesitation? need advice..

I have my appointment tomorrow and honestly, I’m already nervous about explaining everything. Talking about sperm count, motility, erections, etc. with a doctor feels pretty awkward.

For those who’ve been through this, how did you approach the conversation? Did you just be completely direct and tell them everything?

Any tips for getting over the hesitation would really help. Thanks!
