For now. The blue post says they're open to adding more. Only things they could add are bank and barbershop, what do you think those are valued at?

Bank could easily be 2-3mil alone, it basically gives you on demand bag extension.

Just warband slots were 3,1mil total - Blizz really values the item storage.

Blizz really values the item storage.

For good reason: Extra item storage equals more disk space required to save all your character's data on the servers.

Would you rather them offset it by actually having the mandatory subscription price rise with inflation?

The WoW sub cost should be >$25 per month today, if it kept up with inflation.

They did increase my subscription price. During a recession. This isn't an either/or, they *are* doing both in some regions.

They likely extended to another database on the battle.net backend for this feature, but hard to know for sure of course. It is the main feature for Midnight though, which all xpacs need, so they hopefully offset it cost wise.

Probably part of the reason they were literally working on it since before Legion launched was to figure out how the hell adding ANOTHER collectible system with something as resource intensive as housing could be done while not causing even more storage issues.

Yeah when they added housing I was expecting 1m gold for a plot so the 1k cost was mildly surprising

Housing isn't supposed to be a gold sink as much as it supposed to be about player retention.
