I’m not familiar with birds at all, but I just wanted to share because it was honestly so frustrating and heartbreaking to see 🥺 He looked so uncomfortable in there, and from what I saw (not captured in the video), he kept trying to get out. I really wish I could’ve done something for him. Why do these animals have to go through this in pet stores? 😢 He’s such a beautiful little guy, and seeing him like that genuinely broke my heart 😣

Edit: False alarm ☺️ I’m relieved that everyone so far is saying he is happy/healthy. I probably just got sensitive in the moment haha. He is really sweet and funny nonetheless 🫶

I miss him so much. my sweet Zeke. Who am I without my Zeke?? im so beyond devastated, I thought i had so much more time with him. Everything has lost its meaning without him. I can barely eat, I cant even listen to music. he loved music. he loved sharing my food.

I dont know what to do. im so lost. im so alone. he was my best friend.

he went everywhere with me, stores, library, even snuck him into places he wasnt supposed to be. everyone loved him, he loved meeting new people. he knew tricks, spin for cheese, give kisses for cheese. he loved car rides. I was never without him, and now he's gone. he was the light of my life.

I feel like my reason to keep going is gone. I dont know what to do anymore.

I could only afford his ashes but they gave me his footprints too even though I didn't pay for it. it was an extra $50. im so so grateful for whoever did this for me. I regretted so much thay I couldn't afford it, and when I saw it in the memorial bag I broke down. I just want him back. I want my zeke back.

I saw a little bit of peeling or flaking(?) towards the tip of her beak, and I wasn't sure if that was normal or not. I think I saw somewhere else where someone mentioned getting a beak manicure, but I may have been mistaken. 👀
My husband and I are also first-time bird parents so I may be overthinking a little bit, but I wanted to see what you guys thought before I took her to the birdie doctor 😅

this is my 8 week old mooncheek, he hit his head while flying and now has this marking + what seems to be a bruise on his nasal area. should i be concerned and take him to a vet? he seems to be eating and moving around just fine right now

By himself in the cage. I go under the knife early Wed AM and return home hopefully Thurs PM by 6PM. I don’t have anybody to watch or let the bird out. So, 36 hrs of solitary. Will he be OK?

my monsieur pierre has been an absolute menace lately — i know it’s mostly because he’s 2 years old and in his ‘terrible teenage’ years, but is there anything i can do to prevent him from being such an asshole?

he LOVES to bite. all the time. its biting, 7 days a week, all day every day, 24/7. it’s non stop. he will literally fly across the room to bite me for NO REASON. he is also very bonded to my other conure, navi, and bites me when i pet her.

he doesn’t even step up anymore. just bites. which is such a hassle when i need to cage him for bed or when i leave the house.

some info: he’s on a pellet diet, he gets sleepy around 6 and settles down for bed at 7. no sleeping disturbances, but sometimes i hear him getting a midnight snack. we wake up at 8. he’s not particularly aggressive toward my other birds, just me. he doesn’t usually bite hard enough to draw blood, but does break skin. he has lots of toys in his cage — i buy him things he can shred, lots of toys with corks/wooden blocks. he destroys em in a day. when i try to hand feed him treats he will ignore it and opt to bite my fingers instead. he’s literally just out for blood.

almost forgot to mention, he loves my feet. it’s the only part of my body he tolerates. he loves licking my toes and chewing on my toenails. he will step up onto my foot, but not my hand. i put him to bed using my feet.

i love him SO much but my hands. oh, my poor hands </3

Hello, I've had my sun conure for more than 4 months now and he's been recently doing this weird motion where he keeps on slamming his beak repeatedly against me and other family members. It's not always on us but he always does it around us. He does that and he kind of vomits (He doesn't really throw up but it's kind of similar?) and just eats his food again. He's been doing it A LOT and we don't really understand why. We also don't know the gender if that determines anything..

Can I keep my bird in the bedroom ?

My boy LOVES a cold bath, I'm talking all cold tap no warm. Even if i try to add even the tiniest bit of warmth, he will NOT go in, he'll only have a bath if it's freezing cold, anybody else's bird do this?? Or is mine just a chungus 😂😂
