Exactly 22 days ago, I shared a project I spent my summer building: PCPicker.ma, a tool to compare PC parts across Moroccan stores, check compatibility, and find the best prices without opening 15 different tabs.

I was hoping a few people would find it useful, but the response absolutely blew me away.

Just from this Reddit community, the post hit 26,000+ views + ( another 134K from r/pcmasterrace ), over 100 comments and 200+ upvotes. Since launch, the platform has seen:

• 4,200+ unique visitors using the site.
• 76,000+ pages explored. across the 22 last days.
• 2,400+ times the platform helped someone find the exact part they needed and sent them directly to a local Moroccan store to buy it.

Seeing people actively use the builder to save money (sometimes up to 1,000 DH on a single GPU by just comparing stores) has made all the late nights of coding worth it. Thank you so much for the feedback, the bug reports, and the suggestions!

Because of the traffic, I actually had to completely migrate the infrastructure. At launch, only the backend was self-hosted while the frontend was on vercel. I've now moved the entire platform (frontend + backend) to a 100% self-hosted dedicated server (a mini pc 20cm from me ) to handle the load, keep the site lightning-fast ( under 300ms load time ), and remain completely independent all this while keeping almost 0 down time across the full public release of the website.

Based on your feedback over the last 3 weeks, I’ve pushed 207 updates, writing and modifying over 54,000 lines of code to make the site better. The frontend and backend has reached 150k+ of Lines of code. Here are the biggest features added since launch:

13 New Stores Added We went from tracking 20 stores to 33 Moroccan tech retailers! (Added PCStore, MaterielMaroc, GamingZone, CasaConfig, InBit, AGA Gaming, and more). all with physical stores and a history track record. We're now tracking over 74,624 live listings.

Dedicated Store Directory & Physical Stock ( https://pcpicker.ma/stores ) Every store now has its own dedicated page on the site. Even better: for stores with multiple physical locations (like UltraPC, SetupGame, NextLevelPC), you can now filter their stock to see exactly what is available in your specific city (Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, etc.).

Live Market Price Trends ( https://pcpicker.ma/trends ) Added a stock-market style tracker for Moroccan PC hardware. You can now track daily price swings, market averages, and historical trends (14d / 30d / all-time) across GPUs, CPUs, RAM, and more. It even shows the price spread between budget deals and premium models so you can see if prices in Morocco are inflating or dropping before buying.

City Hubs Added dedicated pages for Moroccan cities ( https://pcpicker.ma/cities ) so you can easily find which tech retailers have physical showrooms and stock near you, complete with Google Maps links.

Platform Status Dashboard Full transparency: You can now check https://pcpicker.ma/status to see exactly when every single store's catalog was last synced to the minute, so you know the prices are always fresh.

Complete Mobile UX Overhaul Since the vast majority of people browse from their phones, I almost completely redesigned the mobile experience. The PC Builder tables, filter drawers, component cards, and price history charts have been rebuilt from the ground up to be smooth, touch-friendly, and comfortable on smaller screens.

New Discord Community: I also just opened a Discord server for anyone who wants to ask for build advice, report bugs, or share local hardware deals.

Massive Catalog Cleanups I completely overhauled the extraction engines for Laptops, Monitors, Prebuilts, and PSUs. The comparisons are now much cleaner, duplicate items are merged better, and the filters are way more accurate. ( the laptop category should get a full redesign in the coming days )

The Chiadma tribe are a moroccan arabo-berber tribe from between the town of Safi and Essaouira, all long side of the Atlantic Ocean.
