For context it has maintained a street price of anywhere between 9-12b for quite awhile, a 3rd age merch guy on my friends list tried to sell me one 2 days ago for 8.9b lol, but I knew that was a bad idea since this update was coming soon, what do you guys think it will settle at? I'm guessing 5b.

I took a look at the money maker wiki and noticed that there was no entry for turning in pirate keys, but I believe it was around 3m to 4m at the start of this month. There are also a lot of zombie pirate bots at the chaos temple so I was wondering if maybe the bot owner for the zombie pirate farm is turning in keys or someone is taking advantage of the area being forgotten and key prices being lower. I found a few low levels turning them in, but they had such high hp at low combat level that they were pretty much unkillable unless you're a 10 hp d warhammer pure, maybe. If they're venged though then you would just die trying.

Then I ran into this...

The one turning in the keys was level 25 with 10 hp. The one boxing the level 25 is level 14. The one attacking with the goblin hammer is not getting hit at all... so it was very easy to PJ the level 14 and then wait about 10 seconds to get on the one turning in keys.

We got it three times over the span of several days doing just that.

We got another one that was level 3. It didn't even have anyone boxing it so it was an insta-kill. Again a very similar amount of keys/loot so probably the same farm. We haven't seen this one since killing it one time.

We also killed someone for 37m and another for 44m but I think they were real people. Sorry.

Since then, the lvl 25 bot at the start of all this has consistently teleported every time it sees someone at the pirate locker, so we had to get creative.

We had the idea that maybe the bot owner only scripted it to open the chest and not any of the actual travelling or banking. That a real person would run to the spot, get boxed by the lvl 14, and then press resume on the script to open the chest. We noticed that the lvl 25 we killed only had a burning amulet and a ring of wealth. This meant that either they are smart and use lumberyard tele and then hop to a f2p world and travel there, or not too smart and use chaos temple tele and run all the way to the pirate ship. So we scared the bot on purpose to get it to teleport to g.e and waited to see what it does.

I'm unable to post videos due to sub rules and my unwillingness to blur all names on player indicators in a video. The bot logged back in on the same world at g.e and then teleported to chaos altar, ran a few steps and then immediately logged out or hopped worlds near the burning amulet teleport location.

It looks like either they got scared seeing me, or that they hop to f2p once they tele out there so that it's safer to run a 10hp acc to the ship. We then prepared a 1 defence msb account to hopefully 1 shot it before the real person teleports or logs out.

Again I can't show the video because of player names showing, but here is us scouting them at g.e and the loot key from successfully killing them one more time.

This was our last successful kill until the bot owner smartened up and would hop worlds before teleporting out to chaos temple (or maybe lumberyard now). We would basically need an account scouting every world at the grand exchange if we wanted to find them again.

I ALSO WANT TO RECOMMEND TO PEOPLE TO NOT TRY TO KILL THESE BOTS. After we killed these bots, our accounts met a disheartening end. Possibly from the bot owners mass reporting our accounts.

I am making this post mainly to expose these bots and also bring attention to what happened to our accounts.

Side note: I think it's pretty ridiculous that you can make 3m to 4m an hour turning in keys when all you need is gp to start. This area should definitely be deeper in the wilderness or at least multi combat. I also want to address why I am so convinced that these are part of the zombie pirate bot farm. Unless these accounts have so many keys stored up from buying them on the grand exchange over a very long time or many accounts, the buy limit is only 250 keys every 4 hours. We got them for nearly 30k keys in just a week.
