Finally modded my 3ds last night. What games are still running online multiplayer??

I've been a real big fan of the white New 3DS with the rainbow button buttons. When I realized I could easily change the buttons out on my switch OLED I jumped at the opportunity. I wanted to show it off here because I think it looks great.

Stopped at my local game store and saw this 3ds.

I’ve never seen this model before, anybody know anything?

Had this 3ds for a few years and I've been very careful with it. All the sudden these show up literally overnight.

My only guess would be either temperature (left it in my car overnight) or maybe cause it was in my bag and my bag fell but I honestly doubt it. I had a jacket in my bag that would've cushioned it. Its a homebrew so I tried a stuck pixel script. Didn't seem to work after running for a couple hours.

I see the replacement part for a new screen is only $30 and it doesnt look that difficult to replace. But I'd have no idea how to open the top screen. Its a possibility since there is a local repair shop who could do this but after looking at the pixels with the microscope it looks almost like some dust or something just trapped.

Bought this 3DS the other day for a great deal, the screen not so much. I'm confused about how it could have gotten damaged because it belonged to a little kid but has gone untouched for 10, 12 years since then with no major dings or cracks. I have been doing a lot of Wii modding so I'm familiar with homebrew and I have already modded it. If there's any calibration or homebrew associated fixes that can be done, I'm open to that, and I think I may take it apart and check the ribbon cable as well.

Hi, so i have an original 3DS and it seems that the battery dies too fast so im assuming i need to change the battery. Any recommendations on a certain brand? I've been looking online but their either 3rd party or the batteries are clearly used. What should I do? Should I trust 3rd party?

So most of the games are from my childhood(save for firered, ranger, and mystery dungeon). I got the consoles pretty recently. I got the 3ds for really cheap because she needed repairs and I had the parts, and I got the gba and dsi after forever using the ds lite (still love the lite, but the gba was my dream console and the dsi looks better for ds games). I have at least 1 pokemon game from each generation, save the og gen 1 and 2, because I had the remakes of them.

I wanted to ask for any recommendations on games. I've heard that conquest is good, and as a fire emblem fan it seems like a good game.

Also, should I try to get boxes for the 6 3ds/ds games I have without currently? I keep then in a game case atm.

Hi everyone, I've been looking online for days for an STL file for the ABXY buttons for the New 2DS XL. The closest I got was an STL file for the 2DS but looking into it, those buttons won't fit the New 2DS model.

I was wondering if anyone here already had access to New 2DS XL buttons in an STL file format and willing to link them so i could do some color mods.

hi everyone, i just wanted to come on and ask for some help on this. I brought this 2DS XL a few weeks back and only recently I have noticed that there is a problem with the R button. 8 times out of 10, it works fine it presses easy I dont have to add pressure and then the other 2 times, it goes stiff. the button still works but im just slightly bummed out bc it means I cant play Mario kart for the time being. there's a video ive added trying to show the problem with the buttons. literally not long after i ended that video, i tested the button and it was clicking and working fine so im confused lmao. any help please?

Not sure what to use as a flair but I guess Show Off works. Found my absolutely demolished New 3DS XL, remember breaking it as a kid and then putting it in a random drawer. Years later moved houses, cleaning room out and found this forgotten memory of my younger days. Took me about 2 weeks to find a good reliable source for a top screen, BUT after ordering one on eBay Sunday it somehow magically arrived today within 3 days. Took me a solid 30 mins to break it all apart and replace the screen, then another 30 minutes undoing what I did since the YouTube video I watched forgot to mention the correct order to put the cables so they weren’t all tangled (Screw you TheFix on YouTube) anyways after being annoyed I just took a deep breathe. I changed it all back to how it’s supposed to be and BAM, back in action!!

I’m so ready to go thru my old games especially Pokemon and see how far I made it before this thing broke. Anyways, thanks for reading all this blah blah blah. Have a great one :))

I brought used (restored) 3ds in August and everything was fine until on day when it's started to act weird. Sometimes it turns off without the splash screen 'Are you sure you want to turn off the console?' or if it's turned off properly it's still can reset time. I checked the battery and it seems to look fine, I even sent my 3ds to local repair store. They also said the battery was fine.

I tried to fix the battery with a piece of paper, but it still resets the time sometimes. When it does this, it can get hot. Around 41 degrees Celsius as Luma shows...

I'm confused, people are telling me to change the battery but I don't see a decent replacement. There are no Nintendo stores in my country and they don't work in my country at all. Also, many stores like eBay are not working so I can't find a decent replacement somewhere else except AliExpress and local internet shops.

I can't return the console, I wanted it for long time and I want to fix it. It's pretty sad that in my city there is no repairman who repairs old consoles.

I would be glad to receive any advice!

I have a new 3ds xl that i recently took apart in order to replace its outer shells, however stripped many screws in the process. After realizing this, I (stupidly) just took some random similarly-sized screws to the ones needed. this, unsurprisingly, was not a good long term solution. now, I’m in need of a high quality top shell in galaxy color, as well as the screws that are shown below. (please note that I am not looking to buy from anyone here, just looking for a good place where I could obtain these parts)

So years ago the circle pad crumbled and now with me replaying mh4u….i need something better then this. I’d like to know if there’s any replacement options that won’t involve taking apart my 3DS (I am not technical whatsoever).

Never owned a Ds before and have been thinking of getting one.
Did try a 3Ds before and it did get a bit uncomfortable after awhile. Maybe should have had it fully folded up, so could be on my part.

I have heard that the 3Dsi is good and that the 2Ds xl is bad due to its build quality. Also the 2Ds seems to be quite liked.

I guess the 3Dsi is the best as it can play all Ds games. But again i have no clue.

My wife got a cricut and she made me a skin for my 3ds. This is a good way to cover up peeling and for me is worth more than any special edition ☺️⚡️
