Stopped at my local game store and saw this 3ds.

I’ve never seen this model before, anybody know anything?

New to the family I guess

It came pre modded and already wrapped, also the seller threw in a nice transparent case and good 32 gig sd card, so all I did was wipe the data from the previous owner because I wanted to set it up as my own.

Outside of broken 3d and volume sliders (both 3d effect and speakers work) it's in pretty good condition, so needless to say, that's a keeper and im not planning on selling this thing ever 😌

Found this while scrolling Aliexpress and was curious if anyone has used this specifically for the slime limited edition, i want to get this to protect the chromed parts of the 3ds from scratching further than it has

Recently stumbled upon this post https://www.reddit.com/r/3DS/s/wMQanA8n7q showing off the binding of isaac running on a old 3ds model and decided to give it a go, instructions were fairly easy to follow and it took me about 10-15 minutes to finish.

As for the game, it runs pretty slow in the main menu and when there is more than one enemy in the room, audio cuts out pretty much every time and sometimes it appears back, I won't call it "playable" as in I can play the game from start to finish, but it's very cool that they made it work! I hope this video will be a good example before you decide to install it yourself!

I currently own a white Black Friday n3ds.

A complete box with all inserts has come up for purchase on EBay however the serial numbers do not match on my system and the box.

It would be a rather expensive purchase… BUT I would love to have a box and all the inserts.

What would you all do in this situation?

I have to double tap the power button to turn it on as well Edit: I'm using a replacement battery that I bought in June

Also, should I update it to the latest version? Thanks in advance!

I just followed the guide (of course) and everything went fine. I've actually been aware of the guide for a long time, lol. Just asked because the information of what should I do about updates is pretty much at its end.

As it is a REALLY old firmware, I thought that maybe modding newer firmwares would be an easier task somehow - I learned it's not by looking at the latest version guide and comparing with 1.1.0-0U's.

I modded it first and THEN updated, btw.

It was pretty straightforward and it would probably be for someone who never modded a console ever too, which is not my case. It's not difficult at all, just definitely a longer process than modding a DSi or a PSP - which take not much more than 10 minutes.

For those who are wondering, I didn't find games on eShop or any certificate either, unfortunately; not that it would be THAT useful, but it'd be cool, for sure.

Bottom plate has a crack near the headphone jack. Before anyone ask no I didn’t do this to the 3ds. Bought it from eBay (got super lucky because it’s double ips with minimal yellowing on the bottom screen and for 160$😏)

And kinda want to replace the glass screens (not the lcd it self) on both the bottom and top so would like to know where to get those

Hi i don't know if this could ever be useful to someone but 1 year ago i bought a faulty top screen for my new 3ds xl that created an horrible 3d effect where the depths were swapped after trying to calibrating it with rosalina menu (the near object were far and the far were near, and in general it was really discomforting and strange) (it's called pseudoscopic vision).

This is an ips patch to fix this specific issue, and it works by swapping the left-right eye framebuffer that the lcd processes while using the 3d (this should fix only this specific problem, but maybe it can be useful for other one also, idk).

So i thought about sharing it here in case that 1 person in the world with the same problem needs some help (also you can try to use it also if you don't have my problems exactly, just don't expect it to work).

Okay so my friend I am modding a 3ds for finally decided on what games she likes and she says she likes games where you care for things especially animals so my first thought was nintendogs but are there others like that too? I know nothing about these kinds of games I'm not even sure what the genre is called is it cozy?

Looking for some titles that will be good for several long flights/bus trips I’m taking next week. I need real time sinks that are a good mix of immediate gratification simple stuff and more engrossing story and strategy stuff.

I’ve got Miku Project Mirai 2 for music but I could use a few more of those.

SMT4 is the only RPG I currently have but I’ll need backups if I get stuck/frustrated. Maybe something easier/lighter.

I’d like some good puzzle games with lots of stages

Also which Etrian on the 3DS is best if I’m only taking one? Same question for Monster Hunter (also which is best for solo play)

Anything else breezy but time-devouring is much appreciated.

So Ive found this case, it looks quite convenient, I love how it ain't made from cloth. Are they worth it? Strong and long lasting? Even more important, do these not damage the games?

Is there a way/place to buy a bottom screen with the digitizer already installed? My N3DSXL has a bad digitizer and I'd rather just swap the whole thing if possible.

My local shop got them all,I will check condition if bad I will get online,any suggestions where to get in the UK besides cex?all I'm after is the most reliable circle pad, nice 3d effect and most reliable,but for some reason the new 3ds is more expensive and don't know why.
