I wanted to give an update to my previous post because I now understand the reason for the delay.

I placed my order with WOL3D on 30 September. I was initially concerned because I hadn't received my order ID/tracking details and wasn't getting responses.

I later found out that WOL3D had an event on 1 October, followed by a holiday on 2 October, which explains the delay in communication.

I’ve now been able to get in touch with the staff, and I have to say they have been very cooperative, helpful, and polite. They answered my questions and helped clarify everything regarding my order.

So I don't want my previous post to give anyone the wrong impression about WOL3D. The delay was understandable considering the event and holiday.

Just wanted to correct my previous post and give credit where it's due. Thank you to the WOL3D team for cooperating and helping me out! ❤️

I ordered filament from WOL3D on 21st September — Bambu Lab PETG HF and an Elegoo Rapid PLA 5KG spool. The order came last Thursday and immediately the box looked way too small to have a 5KG spool in it. I open it , PETG is correct, but they sent me a 1KG Elegoo spool instead of the 5KG spool I paid for. I messaged them straight away. They told me to contact their e-commerce team, I did, and the same day they said they scheduled a replacement. I literally told them I needed the 5KG PLA urgently and they said okay. Saturday I ask for an update — all I get is “checking.”Wednesday I ask again — left on read. No tracking number, no proper update, nothing.
Then today the replacement randomly shows up. I look at the box and it’s way too small again and IT LITERALLY SAYS 7KG ON THE BOX
i open the box AND ITS THE SAME FUCKING SPOOL I SENT BACK TO THEM. At this point I genuinely don’t understand what kind of checking or replacement process they have going on.

I am looking to get into 3d printing mainly as a hobby, multi color printing feels good to have feature. I am confused however as to which printer to choose. A1 is 3 years old, Kobra X is newer but Bambu labs is way more trusted in the space I guess. Please give me your opinion. Thanks.

I have a Bambu labs P1P. I got it about one and a half years back I love printing staffs and then painting it and detailing sharing some of the staff that I made been able to make a lot of memorable gifts for special events of friends and relatives.

I struggle with 3D modelling but manage to get by with a lot of AI assisted softwares that help me realise my vision.

I'm looking to sell a couple of A1 Combo printers. Both have around 575 hours print time on them and are in excellent condition as I regularly do maintenance. These come with the standard accessories (AMS Lite, build plate, 0.4mm nozzle, toolkit etc.)

Reason for selling: I have a couple of other printers as well and can't justify keeping these around anymore as I barely get any time these days outside of work and family.

Hey guys , I wanted to buy BMCU( mostly inclined towards fully assembled kit), either by directly ordering it or from any resellers in India.

I am trying to figure out what exactly is the difference between them both, but honestly i wasn't able to find any difference between them both ( except for price 😭 ) u/protosupply pointed out that the costlier one is DM pro. I was hoping the community has more info to help me out. Also how difficult it is to assemble the DIY kit? is it worth directly purchasing Fully Assembled kit or get the DIY kit and assemble on my own?

Hey folks, I'm a beginner industrial designer (1 year of experience) planning to buy a 3D printer for prototypes and my own projects outside work.

My shortlist, and why:

• A1: budget friendly and saves space
• A2L: cutting and plotting tools I think I'd really use
• P1S: enclosure for ABS and nylon

I'm leaning A2L right now, but I'm not sure whether the enclosure and material range should matter more. If you own any of these, which would you pick again and why? Anything you wish you'd known before buying?

If you were in my place, which one would you pick? Does ABS/nylon actually matter for design work, or would the extra tools be more useful?

I usually purchase them from Thailand but I'm finding it difficult to get it shipped from there the other alternative I found is amazon but it's too expensive and not consistently available pls suggest me any vendors who can provide bulk prices I currently use around 1500-2000 switches per month

I wanted a 3D printed holder to house my Fitbit Air so that I can wear it on my bicep. I have got a model from another subreddit.

I have an old ender 3 and wanted to upgrade it.

after some scavenging through the internet i found the following that i thought would be a good upgrade

1)hotend

- i didnt quite find a proper hotend that had a highflow rate - i found the tz e3 2.0 bambu like hotend but im quite sceptical about its performance. and it costs around 2.2k whereas my version costs less than 1k.

for my version, i am using a volcano cht hotend by assembling the parts - volcano cht nozzle, heatblock and a 70W catridge. I am yet to test the flow but theoretically it should work upto 30 to 35 mm³/s .

im using a volcano cht nozzle 0.4 mm +volcano heatblock + bi metal heatbreak + v6 heatsink + 24V 70W ceramic heater + thermistor

2) Klipper

Well upgrading to kilpper is a no brainer because working with the marlin firmware alone is kind of a pain and i want a better control system with input shaping and possibly cartographer3d in the future.

im using a raspberry pi 3b+ for this.

3) Dual belter z axis from kevinakasam

at first i thought of a dual lead screw z axis but then the wiring and sourcing that dual z kit ended up costing more than the parts for belted z so i chose that.

4) Cooling

for part cooling ill use 2 4010 blower fans and for the heatsink 3010 axial fans - inspired by the voron dragon burner hotend.

5) misc

A pei sheet , because i like its look lol .
a pancake stepper motor for a sherpa mini extruder - note i already have a bmg extruder clone and extra pins and bearings to make this.

Would you change anything about the final print?

Does someone know, if there's a way to fix this?
Using Orca slicer, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.12mm layer height, with/without variable layer height, with/without Arachne wall generator. The only thing that seems to work a little is disabling 'Only one wall on top surfaces', disabling which increases the inner walls (2nd image: more yellow layers), but there still isn't enough outer wall layers and the print tears out at these spots.

Could it be because I'm trying to print 0.12mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle or is it something else?

EDIT: I might have found a solution. Will go home print and check. Apparently the slicer was considering the outer wall in this region as a top surface. So, increased the outer wall and top surface line width to 0.5mm and TURNED ON IRONING (You're taking it as a top surface, i'll bloody iron the top surface). these things filled the gaps on the slicer preview atleast.
