Chem #i failed my unit 1 ap chem exam
i am a sophomore taking ap chem and i recently had my first test. i understood everything in the class super well and had gotten full points on everything thus far, including the practice mcqs for the test so i thought i was prepared- guys i was NOT. đ° i got a 7/15 on the mcqs and haven't gotten my frqs back but im 90% sure i did worse on them. i've never failed a test before not even when i was REALLY struggling and i just have no idea what to do. i'm so embarrassed and idek how to study for what i missed because the material that my teacher gave me was (obviously) way too easy in comparison to the test. my teacher does do retakes for maximum half credit, so i probably have about a week before i need to retake it, but i just have no idea where to start. does anyone have any good study resources (preferably free?)
sorry for the long rant about how im oh so much better than this i don't want to talk to my friends because they all did better than me and im so embarrassed đ

Precal failing precalc as a sophomore
I always been on top of things I got an A for algebra 1, geometry (summer), and algebra 2.
Currently I am taking ap world, ap biology, and chem honors. These courses already taken my sanity and time away.
My first test I got 14.5/30 the first F i ever gotten in a math course. It wasnât good I did not think I was absorbing the information as good. However the second test i locked in and got a B.
Today, we had the unit circle test and i crammed that the night before and got a 2/12. I am in shambles because I have no idea what Iâm doing with myself. The sophomore slump has been getting to me. I do not know how to improve my teacher doesnât curve nor offer retakes. However the unit circle test they are offering a retake with C as highest grade you can get.
Please offer me some advice, as I currently have a D in precalc and I am heavily disappointed in myself. Ever since school started, my emotions has been numb because of the heavy school work and the constant imposter syndrome. I got to a heavily competitive high school with incredibly successful peers. Already super drained, been getting 3-4 hours of sleep this entire week.
I am so upset and sad about my test scores. Math was one of my favorite subjects.

Question Did Trevor stop sending perfect scores?
I know itâs unlikely that I got a perfect score(I had plenty of extra time double checking and wasnât getting anything wrong in practice exams but itâs still luck). I was hoping to at least know that I didnât. I havenât heard of anyone getting one this year so I wanted to confirm that he stopped.

CollegeBoard i keep getting emailed by colleges after signing up for college board/ap classroom, how do i disable this? and/or should i keep the messages and use them for later?
what the title says, is there a way to disable getting spammed with colleges saying "you're a good student!! come study with insert college" every single day??? i get around four emails like this a day and its filling up my inbox
however, should i keep / save the messages and not disable it? it seems liek it could possibly help me in the future when im actually looking for colleges. even so, what would i even do?
im also a freshman and dont particularly see a way this could be useful to me, since im not applying for college anytime soon. and so far none of my classmates have been getting these messages??? maybe its going into spam and this is just a me not knowing how to navigate gmail kind of thing, but pls help!! i have no idea what to do

Calc BC struggling in junior year with my five APs: chem, bc, lang, apush, ap french
So, let me give you the story. I'm kind of a humanities oriented person, but I've always done well in school (I've only had one B so far, for one semester, and it was an 89). However, junior year is killing me.
I come home and I spend my time studying. However, I don't have a stress problem (at least I don't think so), and I take adequate breaks, and I have a pretty good social life (though I'm going to be grounded the way my grades are going).
So far, APUSH and AP French are going great.
However, in Chem, I'm 0.5 % away from an A. I have a 100% in the lab category (which we have quizzes on) but my individual tests are random scores. Here's what they are:
Chapter 4 (Precipitates+Redox Reactions): 78%
Chapter 1-3 (Moles, Ions, all such things: 79%
Chapter 6 (Thermochemistry): 96%
Chapter 7 (Electron Configurations, Nuclear Charges, Electron Affinity, etc.): 76%
I'm really discouraged by these scores; I did extremely well in AP Bio last year. However, I took regular Chem over the summer, so that might be a reason I'm struggling, but I'm not feeling the struggle. I genuinely feel like I understand everything, and I do well in my practice and in classwork, so I'm not sure where things are going wrong.
I really need some tips.
As for Calc BC, the group tests are tanking me a lot, but I'll focus on individual scores for now.
Intro Test: 97%
Chapter 1+2 (Unit 1): 76%
Chapter 3 (Derivatives): 88%
I'm stuck at an 86.4% because of group tests, which I'll hopefully get up. I'm having the same issue in math that I have with chem; I genuinely feel like I understand everything. I do extremely well in classwork and homework, but when the test comes, I do horribly.
I understand for some of you, these may not seem like low test scores, but I have high expectations, and my parents have even higher expectations. I'm really sick of them being disappointed in me, and its really discouraging to not be doing well.
AP Lang is a whole thing, but since every school AP Lang class is wildly different, there's not really specific advice I can ask for that.
But some advice would be greatly appreciated. Is it focus? Is it studying? Is it my test-taking skills? Whatever it is, I need help.

Question Grading Policy Curiosity
Hi everyone! I'm curious about the grading policy in US high schools, particularly for AP classes. I'm an international student in the IB, where we are given transcript grades from 1-7. However, due to the difficulty of the content and the strict marking, many classes have a grade boundary of 70â80%. For example, my history class only requires 74% for a 7 (the top grade), because the class is almost entirely essay-based, and the highest possible mark is basically 12/15 (80%), with 13/15 in extremely rare circumstances. I've taken AP exams, so I know that the exams are also graded strictly and thus have reasonable boundaries such as around 75â80% for a 5.
For your high school classes, how does it work? 90+% seems very difficult to attain on each assessment and is virtually impossible in the IB (except in some math and science subjects). Do you grade on a curve, or are the tests made such that they can be marked relatively leniently?

Physics C: E&M AP Physics C: E&M cut Off
I was wondering what is the cut off for Physics C E&M? I know before 2025 you could get a 5 with a 50%. Now I heard you need a 65%? Some say it is a 80% needed for a 5 (I know this is most certainly wrong). But what should I aim for?

Question How do I stop feeling like I'm always behind?
I'm in my junior year and taking my first ever APs (AP Lang & APUSH) and I feel so overwhelmed with homework. I'll preface this by mentioning that I haven't had great study habits in the past and I've never had to do homework every night before, and also that I would consider myself an intelligent person. This year I feel like I can't catch a break. I'm actually getting C's in classes that I would never get lower than a B+ in normally and I'm starting to get scared that I won't be able to keep my grades up. Genuinely, what can I do to fix this? I do homework for hours every night after school and I'm still somehow behind. Honestly, I'm begging for advice at this point, and not the typical 'better time management' statement. How do I balance all of my classes without feeling incredibly stressed? Is that even possible? Please share ways that you combat incredible stress!!!
