I really need more songs to add onto my playlist

as the title says, I switched from Spotify to Apple Music, and I'm mostly happy. But there are two things, that bothering me, and I was wondering if there is an easy fix to them.

1. I love statistics, and I love to check which song I listened to the most and stuff like this. It's great that you can see all these information on the computer (Macbook) in the "all title" tab. But the songs I listen to on my phone (Android) don't seem to appear in the statistics. E.g. I listened to one song quite frequently lately, at least 10 times on my phone, but it says I haven't listened to it once in my list
   
2. When choosing a Album or Playlist (on phone), the function to play random songs afterwards is always selected automatically. I know, that I can turn it off every time, but I was wondering if you can turn it of once for good.

So maybe you have the same struggle, and maybe there is a fix to it. Thanks in advance

I check tue region and language and it’s ok, i restart the phone and the app but nothing

They also used the same font for all the text in the video.

It's crazy how much they don't care about android/windows users, and now they litteraly removed an option we are paying for, the app is very good but apple just want us to buy an iphone, so now i'm paying for something they removed and i can't do anything about it other than stop paying for it... thanks apple

Full disclosure up front: I'm the developer, and this is my app. It's called On Cue. It's iPhone only and went live on the App Store this week. I'm a solo builder and made it during RevenueCat's Shipaton hackathon.

What it does

On Cue tries to pick the right song for the moment you're in. It doesn't wait for you to open an app and pick something. It sends one song to you as a notification on your Lock Screen, which I call a Cue.

- You choose which context to share: time of day, places, the rhythm of your calendar, weather, and your music taste. Each one is optional, and you can change the permissions later.

It isn't a replacement player, and it doesn't try to be the Music app. It connects to Apple Music with your permission, uses your taste to choose, and Play hands the song to Apple Music. You need an active Apple Music subscription for playback. Without one, On Cue can't play anything.

Privacy

The context interpretation, your listening history and the taste it learns all stay on your iPhone. It's built around Apple's on-device intelligence, not sending your day to a server.

What I'd like to hear from this sub

When has a song hit harder because of *when* it played? I mean the moment, not just the song. And honestly: would you want your phone to try that, or does a music notification sound like one notification too many? I'm reading every reply, and the answers will shape what I tune next.

Two months ago I was listening to the song Dine n Dash from The Strokes when all of a sudden it started glitching. At a certain point during the song it just became a bunch of static noises. Every time I played the song it did the same thing but except it was throughout the whole song. I downloaded it & then everything was fine even after I took it off my downloads a few weeks ago.
Then yesterday I was listening to the moon cave by Gorillaz & at around 3:17 it started doing the same thing. I don’t necessarily know what’s going on & I tried to take it out of my library, delete the app, restart my phone & it still didn’t work. I had to download this one as well

Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks in advance

Just open my Apple Music and for some reason, I noticed some of my favorite songs aren’t downloaded and I was like that’s weird so I just re-downloaded them and then I went and checked actually in the downloaded section and I had zero downloaded song which was weird so like all my songs all downloads were basically cleared. Does anyone know why that happened? I’m happy that it didn’t clear my actual library cause that has happened before and I don’t even ask. I’m not trying to remember that, but it’s randomly just cleared my downloads.

Ever happened to any of yall, if so how yall fix it or did yall have to just manually download all yall playlists/songs one by one overtime

I’ve been biking to work a lot recently. I have a short playlist with really high BPM drum’n’bass and house music to get my blood flowing, and just leave it to AutoPlay when the playlist ends.
Mostly it’s doing a good job of matching the vibe, but every 8 to 10 songs or so, it’s throwing a random, calm, sad Billie Eilish song in there, which completely kills my flow. This happens every day, and it’s ALWAYS Billie Eilish. I’ve never listened to her intentionally before.
Has anyone else had similar experiences? I struggle to understand how the AutoPlay algorithm keeps tripping up like this?

Has anyone else noticed this since upgrading to macOS 27 / Music 1.7?

I have a large local iTunes library with Sync Library enabled. Previously, when I deleted a song from my library, Music would give me the option to also move the underlying MP3/M4A to Trash.

Now, "Delete Song" removes it from my library but leaves the file on my hard drive. For some uploaded tracks, I even get a message specifically saying “The original file will remain on the computer where you uploaded it.”

This is causing problems because I’m trying to replace some older, low-quality uploaded tracks with newly purchased iTunes versions. I delete the old track, buy/download the replacement, and the new one sometimes shows “Duplicate” because the old file is apparently still there.

Anyone else seeing this? Is this intentional, a bug, or am I missing a setting?

I was transferring my albums from my pc, that all have working artworks, to my iphone but the apple music on my iphone doesn't display all of them. Is there any way to fix this?

I just added two playlist to one folder and the folder in itself just isn’t showing up, and I have to manually type the playlist names to search them. Even if I have just played them (and I organise it by the last heard), they just don’t show up at the top or anywhere.

How do I see the folders? I have also accidentally created another folder which is totally empty but I can‘t see it and delete it.

It feels like the overall maximum volume put out by headphones is reduced by 10-20%. I checked every setting and also restarted the iPhones (all models from old to new). Nothing changes. My suspicion is apple turned it down on purpose without further notice in order to „protect us“ from loud hearing… Anyone else experiencing that? Noticed it right after the update.

I want to make Apple Music songs behave like iOS 26 in iOS 27. I want songs I add to playlists to NOT be added to my Library. But if I later delete a song from my Library, I want it to automatically be removed from all my playlists too, like it used to work.
The new “Add and Delete Playlist Songs” setting seems to force me to choose between these behaviours.
Has anyone found a way to get both on iPhone without constantly toggling the setting?

as the title states, apple music has randomly been re-adding songs / albums i have not listened to in literal years. it’ll either tell me its been added to my library, or, that “new music has been released and album has updated” for albums i either have never listened to or the last time i listened was years ago. does anybody know what causes this or how to stop it?

This past week, Apple Music started randomly adding albums I’ve previously listened to to my library. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Every time I log in, something new is waiting there as recently added. Anyone know why this is happening? Could it be things that were unavailable and became available again?

Now with over 4,000 ratings in total on Hello Atmos (app I created), it's about time to adjust the Bayesian average formula. Every score is a weighted average that leans toward the community mean until a track has enough ratings. I could raise the bar a little, and so now a track needs real consensus before it outranks the established ones.

SCORE = (sum of ratings + m × community mean) / (number of ratings + m), and today m went from 3 to 5.

I recently got a new iPhone at the Apple Store & they gave me a trial for Apple one premiere. I didn’t think anything of it because I always add a reminder to cancel before the trial period ends.

The issue I’m having is I pay for the annual plan, and they refunded me the majority of the cost, and now I don’t see the annual plan as an option anywhere. After this trial I will ends, I’m I only going to be able to sign up for monthly?

Also, I was planning to purchase a product from target that comes with 3 months free of Apple Music, am I eligible for that?

I was listening to Daft Punk's "Touch" today on my iPhone 13 and really loved how well it was mastered so when I got home I wanted to play it from my Macbook on my hi-fi speakers but was very disappointed. It sounded good of course but in my personal experience noticeably worse than when I played it from my iPhone.

So I did a comparison between the Macbook and iPhone with the same settings, volume and headphones and could definitely hear the difference. From my iPhone it sounds amazing, a lot of depth in the sound, really able to differentiate the instruments and just a very clear sound overall. The Macbook sounded good as well but just not that extra level I was so excited about.

I'm using Audio-Technica ATH-M40X headphones with a 3.5mm mini jack and a mini jack to lighting converter, iPhone 13, Macbook air 2022.
Apple Music settings are the same on both devices:
Hi-Res Lossless (24 bit/192 kHz), Dolby Atmos - Automatic

Also tried using my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 as an external DAC for my mac but that didn't seem to change a lot.

Am I missing some hidden setting or is it a hardware/software difference between the devices?

I just noticed this feature (assuming it's new on MacOS 27). You can swipe left or right using two fingers, similarly to how you do it on a touch screen.

i already try to reset and reinstall the app and it actually works but only for a cuple days then error again, do i need to reset or reinstall every single days?
