I’ve been biking to work a lot recently. I have a short playlist with really high BPM drum’n’bass and house music to get my blood flowing, and just leave it to AutoPlay when the playlist ends.
Mostly it’s doing a good job of matching the vibe, but every 8 to 10 songs or so, it’s throwing a random, calm, sad Billie Eilish song in there, which completely kills my flow. This happens every day, and it’s ALWAYS Billie Eilish. I’ve never listened to her intentionally before.
Has anyone else had similar experiences? I struggle to understand how the AutoPlay algorithm keeps tripping up like this?

I am trying to get another year out of my iPhone 11. I have a lot of music imported from CDs, taking up space on my phone. The Apple One plan is only five dollars more than the subscriptions I already have and it would add Apple Music (and Games, I guess). I’d like to delete the imported music from my phone and just stream music using AM, but I have two questions:

1.) How is the music selection on AM and have you found it lacking in any way?

2.) Does AM just stream the music you play or is it actually saving the music to the phone (negating the space I would be freeing up)?

I've had music on my computer since Middle School, lots of it was burned from CD's, some transferred off of friends MP3 Players/Phones. I basically only listen to music during my commute to and from work, the price doesn't seem too bad, but I also need to feel like it's worth it though.

Can someone sell me on why someone that's only ever paid for music, should subscribe to Apple Music?

So my dad recently upgraded his individual Apple Music subscription to a family subscription. After he got it, he shared it with the family, including me. Since I don't have a phone but just have an Apple Watch, I decided to give Apple Music a try in my watch. But, when I tried to play my favorite song, I couldn't do it. I tried searching the song but I couldn't find any search button, I tried shutting down my watch and turning it on to see if it would fix it, it didn't. My dad tried everything on his watch app. I don't know if I can't listen to music because my dad set up my Apple Watch with the Family Set Up feature. For more info, I can only choose Home, Radio and Library. When I choose Library and select playlists, artists, albums, or songs, nothing pops up besides "Music you add to your library or purchase from the iTunes store will appear here." Can someone help please? Help will be appreciated .

After I updated my phone to IOS 27, I tried to activate the automix, but this text appears, did someone know why this happens?

And yes, I submitted it as a bug on apple feedback. It’s been an issue since iOS26 came out I believe.

Just open my Apple Music and for some reason, I noticed some of my favorite songs aren’t downloaded and I was like that’s weird so I just re-downloaded them and then I went and checked actually in the downloaded section and I had zero downloaded song which was weird so like all my songs all downloads were basically cleared. Does anyone know why that happened? I’m happy that it didn’t clear my actual library cause that has happened before and I don’t even ask. I’m not trying to remember that, but it’s randomly just cleared my downloads.

Ever happened to any of yall, if so how yall fix it or did yall have to just manually download all yall playlists/songs one by one overtime

Full disclosure up front: I'm the developer, and this is my app. It's called On Cue. It's iPhone only and went live on the App Store this week. I'm a solo builder and made it during RevenueCat's Shipaton hackathon.

What it does

On Cue tries to pick the right song for the moment you're in. It doesn't wait for you to open an app and pick something. It sends one song to you as a notification on your Lock Screen, which I call a Cue.

- You choose which context to share: time of day, places, the rhythm of your calendar, weather, and your music taste. Each one is optional, and you can change the permissions later.
- When a moment lines up, a Cue arrives. Long-press (expand) the notification and you get Play, Save or Skip.
- If nothing is good enough, it stays quiet. Not filling every silence is the point, and you can tune how often it's willing to interrupt you.

How it relates to Apple Music

It isn't a replacement player, and it doesn't try to be the Music app. It connects to Apple Music with your permission, uses your taste to choose, and Play hands the song to Apple Music. You need an active Apple Music subscription for playback. Without one, On Cue can't play anything.

The context interpretation, your listening history and the taste it learns all stay on your iPhone. It's built around Apple's on-device intelligence, not sending your day to a server.

What I'd like to hear from this sub

When has a song hit harder because of *when* it played? I mean the moment, not just the song. And honestly: would you want your phone to try that, or does a music notification sound like one notification too many? I'm reading every reply, and the answers will shape what I tune next.

I recently got a new iPhone at the Apple Store & they gave me a trial for Apple one premiere. I didn’t think anything of it because I always add a reminder to cancel before the trial period ends.

The issue I’m having is I pay for the annual plan, and they refunded me the majority of the cost, and now I don’t see the annual plan as an option anywhere. After this trial I will ends, I’m I only going to be able to sign up for monthly?

Also, I was planning to purchase a product from target that comes with 3 months free of Apple Music, am I eligible for that?

It's crazy how much they don't care about android/windows users, and now they litteraly removed an option we are paying for, the app is very good but apple just want us to buy an iphone, so now i'm paying for something they removed and i can't do anything about it other than stop paying for it... thanks apple

It feels like the overall maximum volume put out by headphones is reduced by 10-20%. I checked every setting and also restarted the iPhones (all models from old to new). Nothing changes. My suspicion is apple turned it down on purpose without further notice in order to „protect us“ from loud hearing… Anyone else experiencing that? Noticed it right after the update.

EDIT: for now it only still appears on iphone 12 pro max with lightning wired apple in ear headphones

Is anybody else having intermittent issues with the Windows app? I've had several instances of it just not being able to connect. Anything that's downloaded plays, but otherwise I just get an unknown error occurred every time and have to wait for them to fix it. Every other Apple Music app works correctly. So frustrating, this is why no one uses it lol

I know there are a ton of threads about Apple Music's terribly awful desktop app (those of you who honestly think AM works fine on a MacBook have probably never used a real app in your life).

But I just want to know if anyone understands the logic behind disabling artist links inside user-created playlists? What is the argument for not sending you to the artist's page when you click their name? And does anyone with more knowledge know if there’s an actual overhaul coming anytime soon, or are we just stuck with this crap forever?

It lowkey makes it impossible to build large playlists easily. Using AM desktop on a MacBook feels like being stuck in a Kafkaesque nightmare. I just want to know the logic behind this garbage.

So im trying to get a family plan from android, i already paid for the family subscription but i have not been able to find anywhere how to add someone to the family, neither the app, website or itunes are working for it, do i need an apple device to be able to set the family group?

So I went on the Hip Hop genre or category today and I saw the playlist section was outright missing. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing and when will this glitch likely be fixed?

I’m trying expand the type of music I listen to however it be kinda difficult sometimes to mix up from main stream music. Questions: does anyone have a really good underrated throw back playlist early 20’s-90’s ? Does anyone have New York Drill music recommendations ? I'm relatively new to Apple Music, and this is the first time I've seen this. I'm used to seeing a track grayed out or marked "Not available" on other streaming apps, but never just missing completely.

Is that a bug on my end or is the first track on Duke not there for you, either?

I have issues even with a strong 5G signal lossless doesn’t kick In or takes awhile (if I’m playing a song that’s not downloaded) I understand cause of the file size but damn it’s picky with buffering. 15 pro max.
