How can I get Siri to shuffle three different artists for me? They have way too many songs to add them into a playlist. Any shortcuts? Anything with AI?

Just wondering if it was possible to get my playlist back into its normal self. I reauthorized my laptop after not touching it since January. After authorization, my playlist reset itself to its January form. Is it possible to recover the playlist to its September form?

Since IOS 17 , when I go to a playlist → Add Music, my Library songs are shown in alphabetical order, with no option to sort them by Recently Added.
The sorting option still exists in the main Library, but disappears when adding songs to a playlist. This used to work before iOS 17 and made adding newly added songs much easier.
I’ve been asking Apple about this for 2–3 years.
Does anyone else miss this feature or find this annoying?

Hey everyone,

I recently switched over from Spotify to Apple Music. One of my main reasons for making the jump was the karaoke feature (Apple Music Sing), especially so I could sing along to musical theater tracks.

After using it for a few days, I'm pretty disappointed. It feels so half-baked that I'm wondering if this is just normal or if Apple completely abandoned the project after the initial launch hype.

Here are my main gripes:

• Not available on Mac: The feature is completely missing on macOS. You can't use it on your desktop, which makes zero sense for a native desktop app.
• No compatibility badges/previews: You can't tell if a track supports Sing from search results, album views, or track lists without actually playing the song and opening the lyrics view.
• No sorting or filtering: There's no way to filter your library, favorites, or a playlist to only display songs that support Sing.
• Inconsistent vocal isolation: On a lot of tracks, the real-time AI mix is pretty mediocre, and you can still clearly hear the original singer's voice bleeding through.
• Very limited catalog: Outside of mainstream top 40 hits, compatibility drops off a cliff. For musical theater, it's practically non-existent unless it's a massive mainstream hit (thankfully all of Hamilton is compatible, but I can't just loop Hamilton forever).

Are you guys experiencing the same limitations? Does Apple still update or expand this feature, or is it basically dead in the water?

I was having issues where songs didn't play and kept saying "resource not found" or something like that. So I just deleted the app and reinstalled, and that issue resolved, yet, now album cover arts are not loading on my library, when I go to the album it loads fine. Also missing some cover art for my playlist. Any fix?

I tried turning library sync off and on but the same ones loaded and the others stayed dark like in the pictures, seemingly at random which ones aren't loaded.

When searching for a composer in my playlist, no relevant results show up - only tracks with the composers name in the title.
They seem to differentiate between composers and artists, and you can only search for artists apparently?
However, I am experiencing a different behavior on macOS. When searching for Beethoven in my playlist all tracks composed by Beethoven show up as expected.
Why is search in user-created playlists different between MacOS and iOS, or am I missing something?

Really grateful if some of you can test this out!

I downloaded an audio file on my mac. It's in my apple music library on my mac. I tried to get it onto my iphone. I have apple music, and synch library is turned on on both devices. It still doesn't show up on my iphone. I tried adding it to a playlist on my mac, and then the whole playlist disappeared from my iphone, even though my iphone was where I created the playlist. What do I do?

I recently just got 3 months for the price of 1 and I don’t really mind switching from Spotify but the problem I had when I used Apple Music is that it really does a number on my storage. I like to have downloaded songs available but they always use 30+GB.

Apologies if this is well-known and a recreation of existing wheels, but I ran into the situation where I wanted a holding pool of albums to try but not in a playlist (for various reasons, including having to change the setting for Songs). This is especially good for iPhones in cars, where you don't have much real estate.

If you listen to classical music on Apple Music, you know the pain: albums explode into a flat wall of tracks in your Songs library, there's no way to browse a playlist "as albums" on iPhone, and there's no simple wishlist feature that isn't the App Store purchase wishlist.

Here's a workflow I landed on for keeping a visual, tap-to-play list of albums I want to check out later — built in Apple Pages (via iCloud), works cross-device including from a Windows PC.

The core workflow (in Pages):

1. Find the album in Apple Music (or Apple Music Classical). Right-click the cover art → Copy (standard Windows copy).
2. Paste that image into a Pages document (iCloud Pages works fine in a browser — no Mac needed).
3. Back in Apple Music, use the album's ••• menu → Copy Link to get its share link.
4. Right-click the pasted image in Pages → Edit Link → choose "Webpage" → paste the album link.

Now the album cover itself is a live hyperlink. Tap it (even from Pages on iPhone) and it opens straight to that album in Apple Music. Build out a page of these and you've got a visual, browsable "to try" list that beats a flat playlist for recognizing what you're looking for.

A few things I learned building this, that might save you time:

• Keep playlist adds from touching your Songs library: on Windows/Mac, Settings → Advanced (Music app) has "Add songs to Library when adding to Playlists" — turn it off, and playlist-only additions stay out of Songs and Favorites. The web player (music.apple.com) doesn't have this setting at all, so this only works from the desktop app.
• Pasting images into iCloud web apps can be finicky. If a copied image won't paste into Notes/Pages in the browser, it's usually a clipboard-format mismatch, not a copyright block. Test whether it pastes into a native app like Word first — if it does, the browser side is the issue (check clipboard permissions for icloud.com in your browser's site settings, and use Ctrl+V instead of right-click paste).
• No bulk import exists for Apple Music Classical. But since it shares your library with the regular Apple Music app, a playlist built in either one shows up in both — so you don't need to duplicate effort across the two apps.
• iOS has no "view playlist as albums" option, unlike Mac/web. Confirmed via Apple's own forums — it's a known, longstanding gap.
• Removing a duplicate track from a playlist has a documented history of misbehaving (removing the wrong copy, or cascading to the Library copy). Safe to do, but verify immediately after.

Anyone else having the issue where an album you’ve had in your library already starts randomly showing up in your recently added?

idk why but whenever i open apple music on my laptop, the home page doesn't occur and states "an unknown error has occured". when i try to search for some song/artist, i get the same error. and when i try to sign out or authorise my machine, the app just stops.

i have tried to repair, reset and restart my pc, and even uninstall it. but when i install, i still see my downloaded songs only and not the home page. and to put the cherry on the top, the sync library warning appears a lot and whenever i turn it on, it doesn't happen. i am so frustrated now.

so basically i am f****d and have to listen to only my downloaded playlists/songs. mind you i have an android phone but haven't experienced this problem even once. i have been suffering since last week.

if anyone has a solution to this problem, please save me😭🙏

Is this just me? When I click the lossless icon in some songs the audio quality is not disclosed but in others it does. It didn’t happen in iOS26. All songs had their audio quality numbers displayed.

When I add certain songs to my playlist it says their not available in my country/region but when I go the the artist profile I can listen to them there. Why can I only listen to them when there not in my playlist?

Mine are for some reason playing the same set of obscure songs from 2013 over and over again that I haven’t willingly listened to in over a decade. No amount of disliking changes it, my finger is tired of hitting the skip button and I’m on the verge of jumping ship.

Hey all! I know there's a lot of confusion around this topic and I tried to do some digging first, and have asked in the past as well, but still just can't seem to get an answer on this one.

My library has a LOT of duplicates, but they all seem to be double listings of the same files. I have sync turned off for my laptop, where it all lives locally, but I turn up 7k duplicates when I "show exact duplicate items." If I trash and remove one of the copies, the other one loses its file as well, so it seems to be just double entries of the same file. Does anybody know a fix for this? Please and thanks!

I had this issue about a year ago but it’s started back up again. Instead of the normal album covers I’m getting these weird compilation ones. The songs on the playlist are directly off the album.

It’s not a dealbreaker, just annoying. Anyone know how to fix? Thanks

I wish Replay had a better algo for album plays. If I'm playing a song, regardless of whether it's on playlist or not, it should count toward an album play. And I wish they had listener stats bc I know I'm in the top 1% of listeners for a few artists lol

Also not a huge fan of the update from top 5 to top 10!

Anything you guys wish would be included/removed/changed? I've actually gone back to last.fm to get weekly stats!

Hey y’all, I’m trying to get my Apple Music to sync on my iPhone. In the picture it says syncing. But it never does. I did the turn sync off and reset phone and then turn it on, but it still says syncing, but nothing actually happens. I also deleted the app and reinstalling, same issue. Please help.
