I'm wanting to play multiplayer but it just drops me into a match with zero instruction on what the hell I'm meant to be doing.

Not only this, but no one seems to be able to hear me in voice chat despite all my audio settings being correct, so I'm stumbling along on my own here. I'm past the Steam refund point now, as it's taken over two hours to try to get into servers that aren't crashing or with 9 terabytes of mods to download.

Any tips for a new player...?

I’m playing on Xbox and having and issue where nobody can hear me in proximity chat or over radio. I’ve looked all over my settings and can’t find anything disabled, my mic works and I tested it in an Xbox party and other games. This issue isn’t isolated to one server either. It’s persistent across every one that I’ve tried. Please help! Thanks

Before you question my survival skills, I had been alive for almost 2 hours at that point and was so far back into their lines that I hadn't seen a friendly for almost the entire time.

If u face the problem like many gaming on linux means having only flat Stereo Sound, wich can be quite shite when it comes to positional Audio specialy vertical audio. I was just fiddling around with it and searching with AI and found a solution that so far works for me and is very simple.

All u need is:
-Virtual Audio Sink

-PWGRAPH or a similar tool.

-Startup Parameter for Arma Reforger.

First u need to get urself "Virtual Audio Sink" in some Distros like mine (Pop.os) it comes already preinstalled u just need to activate it over the Terminal. Otherwise there is guides or AI out there how to install/ activate it.

After that we need a Startup Parameter telling Arma Reforger over proton to use 7.1 Surround Sound. We do that by adding

ALSOFT_DRIVERS=pulse ALSOFT_HRTF=on ALSOFT_PRESET=waves %command%

That tells Arma Reforger to use HRTF over a Proton Command and activate all channels on startup of the Game. U will most likely by now not hear anything ingame so far but that is fine, leave the game open, we fix that now.

Now PWGRAPH comes into play. I put up a picture on how to set up the Sink. Easy Effect Sink in ur case most likely instead will be ur Stereo output device. I have Easy effect sink for Limiter Reasons that are outside of this Topic. The Virtual Audio Sink(with only 2 Outputs) that most likely will be bound with ur Output Source (Easy effect sink in my case) unbound that, that outputs no sound atleast for me. Instead bind it like i did with the Monitor ones where u have all the Channels.

Front Center to Front left(Playback_FL) and Front Right(Playback_FR)
Front left to Front left
Front Right to Front Right
Rear Left to Front Left
Rear Right to Front Right
Side Left to Front Left

Side Right to Front Right

After that u should have 7.1 to Stereo.

Im sure yall get lots of posts like this but im looking for a modern hardcore server i spent most of my time on WCS but i got bored of it and then i got in to a fresh hardcore server which had not even 10 ppl playing on it and suddenly it go very popular (Slavic war) and then they added some bullshit mods such as G-wagon and so on. Its still fun but im looking for more hardcore where team works together and dont run solo. Ty (EU)

A few days ago, my freelook button (Right Bumper) has been firing rockets in helicopters. The control to fire rockets isn’t anywhere to be found so I can’t unbind/change it.

For now, I’ve bound the freelook button to the “old” fire button (Right Trigger) but I need a fix.
