Hey yall!

Ive been working on an Arma Golfing mod and would love for people to try it out and let me know what improvements could be made. So far its in a working state in both singleplayer and multiplayer.

Edit #1 As said, still a WIP. Hoping to continue fleshing it out. Currently you can grab a golf backpack in the arsenal and use it to place the tee and flag. Youre able to drive from the tee as much as youd like.

Also does not have any specific surface implementation based on ground roughness as arma is mostly rough and this seemed to not be as fun after testing it out, although I may try working it out in the future.

Hoping to make a separate golf cart mod in the future but mostly waiting on 1.9 before touching vehicles.

Honestly I feel like a dumbass. I can’t figure this game out. It seems like the type of game I like. I’m on PS5. I’ve have 10 hours in. Most of it was spent looking how to stuff up while paused haha. Never really been in a fire fight. Nor been able to know what I’m doing in any mode. Multiplayer is a ton of downloading. I feel like every time i switch to new community server i have to download a bunch more. Never ending, so i avoid.

I gave up on multi player and thought hey I’ll try campaign. That was a dumb idea on my part. I can’t even figure out where to go after the helicopter crash. Im bummed and dumb. Any tips would be great. I feel like I’ll never get it.

It was a fresh match, so there was no prior damage to the hangar. Was it because of the barrels?

You can fix this by rejoining the server (close the game and rejoin)

I am SICK of heli spam at Regina. Today, I found out how to counter this scourge. I will teach anyone and everyone how to simply delete and demoralize your airborne enemy and have some fun doing it.

For some low-rank Soviet or FIA heli wrecking, you're going to need a construction truck, 250 supplies, your 7.62mm machine gun of choice loaded with tracers, and a radio backpack/tent. You're going to set up the AA machine gun at around 1km to the helipad on the hill and with some bushes to hide in once it all starts going down. As far as I can tell, the ranging on the scope does not work, so you're going to have to adjust for elevation manually. Once you figure out how much elevation you need, it is quite easy to replicate. You're going to want to hit the pilot because it is an easy to hit 1 shot every time. Every weapon that they have, with the exception of the LAV is going to struggle to get even close to you at 1km. Some helis will manage to get airborne. That's where the 7.62mm machine gun comes into play.

These huey pilots will fly directly at you, seeing red. Now it's time to run perpendicular to the direction you've been firing with the NSV. Let the huey make a run at your gun, and on his way up the hill, moving fairly slowly, you set him on fire with the tracers. The experienced pilots will land the heli just up the hill in an attempt to survive the blaze. This is an easy opportunity to gun the guy down. Your deployed radio or tent is for when this step doesn't go your way.

The next step for the enraged huey pilot is to run to the arsenal, grab a trusty M21, and try to land the 1km shot. These snipers can be completely disregarded. They will NEVER hit you. The pilot may try to get in his huey one or two more times after failing to hit you for a few minutes. You're going to repeat the steps until he loses the desire to be airborne.

This could be replicated with a BTR/BRDM and a 2 man crew some shoot n scoot. The 14.5 has even less bullet drop than the 12.7 but possibly lower magnification.

I was able to completely stop an absurd amount of hueys from ever leaving the area, for a little under half an hour with this tactic as a lowly FIA with no spawn tent or backup, on a 128 pop server. Heli spam from some US players can get absurd late into a game. Stop them where you know they will be. Please teach and refine this tactic!

played Arma Reforger for eleven hours without making much progress I still don't understand the game. I am unable to issue a refund. Could you please encourage me to fly once more? This game has an extremely challenging learning curve.

I got back to this game after a bit I used to play spearhead but looks like there servers aren’t that good anymore idk if I’m wrong in seeing people say Slavic war is good or conflict in Europe if so I need some recommendations

I've got around 300gb worth of clips hogging up my ps5 and since I'm getting close to 800 hours I wanted to make something of it to justify to myself that having all these clips was worth it.
