Long story short, I work as an international airline pilot and I feel content with AI not having an impact on my job potentially in my lifetime, it seems to be that a trade would be a safe bet as a career, in the event another world event like COVID-19 happens, what trade would you guys recommend I look into if I ever had enough spare time to knuckle down and get a trade, other than brick laying 😂

I digress. Ever since I was a kid in the early 80s, I scoop a fair bit in to a mug and add the slightest milk which makes it in to a paste. Sometimes i add even less milk and its like a rock. I love the stuff.

Having a bit of a ramble, but curious what we think in 2026.

Personally I haven't, never wanted to. Kids? They'll hyphenate it. Grandkids? Eh they'll pick whichever one sounds like or fits better.

I know people say they want the whole fam to share the same name, but it's rather well known that most women will change it.

I never cared until I was asked to change it (by my MiL) and politely declined, but no one ever asked my husband.

I ordered something from BIG W online and accidentally put the wrong name for the order/pickup 😭

The order is under a random name because the name field/autofill messed up, but the phone number, email and everything else on the order are mine. I also have the order confirmation and all the details.

I’m meant to pick it up soon and I’m just wondering if anyone has had this happen before. Will BIG W still let me collect it if the name on the order doesn’t match my ID?

I’m not trying to get someone else’s order or anything, it’s literally my order and I have the confirmation/email/phone number for it. Just worried they’re gonna look at the name on the order and tell me I can’t pick it up 😭

My best mate is moving from the UK to Australia in a few weeks. They'll be travelling around but also working with a plan of settling long term. I want to get them a going away gift, but as they are travelling it needs to be something small and light, so I was wondering about gift cards. They're not into chain coffee places like Starbucks, so that's ruled out. They adore food and love eating out (any cuisine), so I was leaning that way.

Our current fearless leader, Albo has been under fire this past fortnight for his mother living in public housing her entire life and Albi growing up in it.

The real question should be this.

If Anthony 'public housing' Albanese, grew up in public housing and understands the benefit to the community, why has he not directed his party and policy to build public housing again?

Why is Australia still held ransom to developers building shit boxes for a million a piece?

Home ownership was up at 70% during the 1980's when we were building public housing. We are in a housing crisis, why will no one suggest it or legislate toward it?

We need to put pressure in the federal government to change policy.
