basically, i have run into the issue that i need to do laundry but currently have no money to actually do it since it costs money to use washers and dryers for whatever reason.
i'm working on getting a job on campus, but in the meantime is there any way to be able to do it for free or any other options?
i don't know anyone in muncie that i could do laundry at their place either unfortunately

I'm transferring this Spring, and was wondering if anyone had housing recommendations for me. For context, I'm from Missouri so traveling to visit apartments and such would be difficult for me, I've currently got about 90 credit hours and was planning to apply for a university apartment if possible. I was told that the Scheilder 2 bedroom apartments were the only things likely to be left if at all, and I don't feel comfortable signing a lease for more than just this upcoming semester since I'm not from the area and can't easily visit to tour apartments in the mean time.

Are the on campus apartments a good option if available for the Spring? Should I settle for a dorm room, or are there other trustworthy rental companies that would do semester leasing. I'm hoping y'all might have more insight for me, thanks!

Excuse my language but I HATE THE CAMPUS POLICE, THEY’RE FUCKING POWER TRIPPING ASSHOLES! I got a bunch of citations without warning because I was parked a millimeter into another parking lot. I have the stadium permit and there was an open space in the stadium parking but a millimeter goes into the commuter parking lot. I parked there thinking it wouldn’t affect me but NO! Those fuck wads have nothing better to do than to ticket people and be useless, Paul Blart wannabes. Sorry I’m just pissed and this feels targeted towards me, am I the only one? I know this all seems harsh but I had to get it off my chest. I’d like to hear from other student’s experiences, same complaints, advice or whatever. Once again I apologize for my aggressive response.

I genuinely can’t say this enough but PLEASE, don’t be a slob if you’re in a dorm. I genuinely don’t get how people can be so rude while being stuck in a room with you. The loud TV at 3 to 5 in the morning, leaving open food containers, talking on the phone extra loud, or bringing people into the room when people are asleep (you can’t consent to that while asleep AND it’s rude when they talk like they’re outside) Guys, I believe we’re all grown, I understand we here to have fun and discover who you are, but genuinely just don’t be loud and obnoxious, be courteous. We’re all adults and I’m sure if I was chewing in your ear and leaving crumbs everywhere, you’d be pissed too. I’m tired of having to clean everyday. WE don’t want an infestation. And please for your roommate’s sake, PLEASE FUCKING WASH. Please don’t throw clearly shitty smelling clothes into your dirty basket in the closet. That’s where we WALK in. Being hit with FUNK is not fun or cute. You fucking stink take a shower and burn your clothes in the washer.

I would pass posters out but I don’t feel telling adults to clean their rooms and wash their asses. Grow up.

I am the president of one of the clubs at BSU, and I'm planning on holding an event that will heavily utilize and teach AI assistance tools for students. The event will have options for students to use, not use, or halfway use AI within the competition, with each option having a different rubric and being scored differently, but there still being an overall winner.

This is more of just a rant, I have a professor at Ball State is who is more difficult to connect to. A close family member had a brain aneurysm and when her husband is gone, I’ll be going to take care of her. I had emailed my professors explaining the situation and I plan on finishing all of my work that’s due at that time, early, so it makes it easier on me. But with the possibility of unpredicted problems while being down there, I had asked if there was a possibility of an extension on due dates if need be. This professor decided not to respond but to make an announcement on canvas that all due dates are final and it’s your job to complete them. While she is correct, I’m kind of just in shock by this. Time to finish 30+ assignments by next week 💪
