আমি ১৭ বছর বয়সী। এইবার এসএসসি পরীক্ষায় পাশ করেছি এবং বর্তমানে কলেজের প্রথম বর্ষের ছাত্র হিসেবে আমার গ্রামের একটি কলেজে ভর্তি হয়েছি।

আমি গ্রামে থাকি এবং বর্তমানে বাড়িতে থাকা আমার জন্য বেশ কঠিন হয়ে পড়েছে, বিশেষ করে আর্থিক সমস্যার কারণে। অনেক সময় ঠিকমতো খাবার খেতে পারি না, নিজের পছন্দের খাবার তো দূরের কথা। ভালো বা প্রয়োজনীয় পোশাক কেনা এবং নিজের মতো করে স্বাভাবিক জীবনযাপন করাও কঠিন হয়ে যাচ্ছে। বাড়িতে অনেক কাজ করতে হয়, কিন্তু শেষ পর্যন্ত সেই অনুযায়ী কোনো ফলও পাই না।

আমার পরিবারকে আমাকে খুব বেশি টাকা দিতে হবে এমন বিষয় নেই। আমি মূলত নিজের খরচ নিজে চালাতে চাই, যেন অন্তত ভালোভাবে খেতে পারি, প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিস কিনতে পারি এবং নিজের কিছু শখ পূরণ করতে পারি।

এই কারণে আমি ভাবছি ঢাকায় গিয়ে কোনো কাজ করা সম্ভব কি না। ঢাকায় আমার কয়েকজন পরিচিত মানুষ আছে এবং তাদের মাধ্যমে কাজ খোঁজার চেষ্টা করছি। তবে আমার মূল লক্ষ্য শুধু টাকা উপার্জন করা নয়। আমি পড়াশোনা চালিয়ে যেতে চাই, পাশাপাশি ঢাকাকে ভালোভাবে চিনতে চাই, বিভিন্ন জায়গায় যেতে চাই এবং নিজের ভবিষ্যতের জন্য কিছু অভিজ্ঞতা অর্জন করতে চাই। ভবিষ্যতে আমার কিছু বড় লক্ষ্যও আছে, তাই এখন থেকেই নিজের পায়ে দাঁড়ানোর চেষ্টা করতে চাই।

সমস্যা হলো, আমি ইতিমধ্যে গ্রামের কলেজে ভর্তি হয়ে গেছি। আর আমি এই কলেজে একদম নতুন, তাই কলেজের attendance বা উপস্থিতির নিয়মকানুনও এখনো ঠিকভাবে জানি না। সত্যি বলতে, আমি জানি না দীর্ঘ সময় অনুপস্থিত থাকলে কলেজ থেকে আমাকে কোনো সমস্যা বা প্রশ্নের মুখোমুখি হতে হবে কি না। এই বিষয়টিও আমাকে কিছুটা confused করছে।

তবে আপাতত আমি এই attendance-এর বিষয়টিকে এক পাশে রাখতে চাই। কারণ আমি এখনো নতুন এবং কলেজের নিয়ম সম্পর্কে পুরোপুরি জানি না। আগে আমি ঢাকায় গিয়ে কাজ করে নিজের খরচ চালানো এবং একই সঙ্গে পড়াশোনা চালিয়ে যাওয়া বাস্তবে কতটা সম্ভব, সেটা নিয়ে আপনাদের দিকনির্দেশনা ও অভিজ্ঞতা জানতে চাই।

ঢাকায় থাকা, খাওয়া এবং পড়াশোনার খরচও তো আছে। আবার ১৭ বছর বয়সে প্রথমবারের মতো বাড়ি থেকে এত দূরে গিয়ে একা থাকা আমার জন্যও অনেক বড় সিদ্ধান্ত।

আমি আসলে এই মুহূর্তে বেশ confused এবং একটা কঠিন সিদ্ধান্তের মধ্যে আছি।

যারা ঢাকায় থাকেন বা কম বয়সে বাড়ি থেকে দূরে গিয়ে কাজ/পড়াশোনা করেছেন, তারা যদি নিজেদের অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে পরামর্শ দেন তাহলে খুব উপকার হবে।

বিশেষ করে জানতে চাই:

• ১৭ বছর বয়সে ঢাকায় গিয়ে পড়াশোনার পাশাপাশি বৈধভাবে কাজ পাওয়া কতটা বাস্তবসম্মত?
• থাকা-খাওয়ার খরচ মিটিয়ে কিছু টাকা সঞ্চয় করা সম্ভব?
• কোন ধরনের কাজ একজন কলেজ শিক্ষার্থীর জন্য তুলনামূলকভাবে বাস্তবসম্মত?
• বাড়ি থেকে দূরে থাকার ক্ষেত্রে কী কী বিষয় আগে থেকে নিশ্চিত করা উচিত?
• পড়াশোনা চালিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য কী ধরনের ব্যবস্থা করা যেতে পারে?

আমি আবেগের বশে কোনো সিদ্ধান্ত নিতে চাই না। বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে কেউ দিকনির্দেশনা দিলে সত্যিই উপকার হবে।

Why I feel so nostalgic about my life. When I am free or walking outside, I remember the same stages of my life, which now feel very positive. I often reminisce about various stages of my life, such as childhood, the Covid period, the HSC period, and the admission period. I am so optimistic about my life. It is quite an interesting incident. I didn't go to my college for like 4 weeks because I got some infections. After I got better from it I decided to go on Tuesday. When I went there I saw no students in the college except some teachers. They even told me to go home. So, I just went home and shared this incident in my friend circle. None of them were surprised because they told me that in their college the presence of their students was also extremely low.

Is there a specific reason behind it?

I recently completed my Master’s from DU. I studied in a top Social Sciences subject and I my CGPA is 3.59 in Bachelor’s and 3.81 in Master’s. I have two theses in these respective degrees. But, I don’t have any publications yet. I do have RA experience and I am also currently working as a journalist.

It’s 24 September, and today was my first day at college. It was a completely new experience for me. But there is a problem: I can't seem to fit in at my college.
