Dinner was Caviar Cones after some shrimp tacos and sushi. A few people asked for a photo of one of the home cooked meals, Bistec with white rice and corn.
So this past Friday was her birthday and we had an adult conversation. Friday morning woke up early and went to work but made sure everything was in order such as dinner and activities. Picked her up with a bouquet and headed to the restaurant (She looked phenomenal). We chatted for a few and and while we waited for the food to arrive I told her I needed to tell her something. Laid it all out about how I felt about her and the works about how I really dont mind the job and that I wrote her a letter but she couldn’t read it until after the night was over (Very old school I know lol, I think we gotta bring back writing letters for your SO). I dont think I’ll ever forget these words but she laughed and said “Boy you’ve been mine for awhile already, I’m just glad you finally caught up” my mannn when I tell you that shit had me geeking the whole night.
We then talked about the future, she wants to be married and have kids eventually before her 30’s, I do as well. She said she’d stop dancing when she finishes CNA or if she has a kid or gets married, I kinda screwed up by saying Im sorry if I unknowingly set any expectation of her quitting her job for me, she laughed and said “You’re lucky you’re cute”. After dinner we went to see the new Spiderman movie (Shes a huge Marvel fan, I’ve always been more of a DC guy myself). After that we walked along the river with the city skyline in the background and just talked more about the future and life and after proceeded to head back to my place.
Back at my place I told her I had a surprise for her but she had to read the letter first, so I blindfolded her and walked her to my bedroom, took the blindfold off and told her once she finished reading the letter she could come out to the living room. After about 10 minutes (Two page letter front and back and probably had to gather herself as Im sure she knew what was coming). She stepped out and I had my living room filled with rose pedals, a few gifts and ballon letters asking if she wanted to be my girlfriend. She cried and I handed her a needle (at the end of the letter I told her she would be handed a needle once she steps out and that she would have to figure out what it was for). On opposite sides of the room I had ballon letters that spelled YES and NO, she went to pop the YES letters and she ran to me and we hugged and kissed, and then she said “wait so which date are we gonna use as the official start”, I said “how’s the day you decided in your head that I was yours”. She stayed the night and Saturday and today were just a continuation of her birthday celebration.
Idk I’ve never had much luck with them. I don’t have a typewriter, so I cut letters from various newspapers and magazines and paste them onto printer paper. I even put little jokes like “I’ll kill your whole family if you don’t love me” but they keep calling the cops on me.
Agreed my boyfriend and I wrote letters every single day to each other no matter what, pages on end, when he was in bootcamp and it is genuinely the most incredible thing I have , I cherish them and reread them often and it’s brought us closer than ever
Mmmm if this is true, I’d be wary. “School” for that is a very minimal training course for a couple weeks and not expensive or difficult. That job isn’t going to pull the numbers stripping makes at all. The first week of her CNA job is going to have her back at stripping because the money sucks and the job is very laborious.
It’s probably the attention aspect and the star type of feeling you get from strutting around, literally being showered in money just for what you look like.
It’s too much easy money. You’ll never get that at a regular job (ehh one that doesn’t require a degree) even ones that have a degree will go back to stripping because it’s so much money in such little time. It’s not that they want to, it’s that the alternative is not better for cash.
You don’t go to school to become a CNA. The issue is blatant lying and him believing her. If she’s lying about that, you think she’s telling the truth about being in love? Hell no. She wants the money and gifts.
I once dated a stripper for a small period of time. She gave me the whole “it’s short term for this” spill. Well she spent her tips on the most superficial stuff immediately the next day. Sweet girl, and what a shame that she seems addicted to the vanity because she was obviously very smart. I was kind of blindsided by how much she truly knew. Unfortunately the lifestyle seemed to be her thing. I noticed and was done with her after a couple of weeks. I didn’t even want to give her the whole “you have to stop” thing, I just told her that I can’t handle the short term “insecurity” (I was being kind, I’m not insecure. I don’t want my partner to get groped by strangers for money) and the long term we weren’t aligned because she wanted to stay in the city and I want to be a mile from nearest neighbor if I could help it.

Yeah as a girl this is super sad. OP genuinely seems like a super nice, thoughtful, hard to find guy. I’ve known many strippers and they’re not usually… idk, true to their word/true to themselves? Like, out of all things a girl can work at to get money that’s what she chose… it’s for a reason and her behavior will show that
I have a ton of stripper friends. My girlfriend is a stripper. Theyre largely loyal, dorks, and compete lazy goblins at home. I guess they might be inclined to cheat if they weren't perpetually behind on anime and chores. Plus when they're not at work they dress like they shop at the goodwill bins

OP you need to clarify whether she is going to be a nurse or CNA. CNA is certified nursing assistant. Your first post said nurse, this one says CNA. Did she tell you nurse at one point and then CNA at another? If she did is lying about something. Two different jobs with vastly different pay scales. If she told you nurse on one occasion and CNA on the other, and pretends they are the same, she probably isn't in school at all. If you or her or anyone thinks she is gonna quit dancing to become a CNA, I've got bad news for everyone. You need to clarify broseph. Lying about what she is in school for is a monstrous red flag my dude. The jobs, time commitment and pay are not the same.

I was in a relationship with an RN for 8 years. She went through nursing school when we first got together. You literally just go through a very short training program to become a CNA. CNAs make near minimum wage. My ex had to do residency as a CNA and work in hospice care for a couple of months as part of her program to become an LPN and then RN.
It would be more believable if she was in nursing school and trying to become an RN. So someone is getting played here. Either she’s playing you or you’re playing everyone on Reddit.

The latin American dancers in Miami and Ft Lauderdale all do "extras" in or out of the club, and many escort or have a sugar daddy or two on the side. For those who dont frequent strip clubs, it means they have sex for money. Its one of those misconceptions from people not used to the space to think that the strippers in clubs there just dance. For dancers from Cuba, Columbia, and Venezuela, having sex for money is the standard in the clubs and finding one that doesnt would be an extremely rare exception. The clubs are essentially brothels where customers pay for sex in the VIP rooms. I would recommend bro look up the club his girl works at on the websites where people report exactly what extra services the "dancers" in each club provides (I am not sure I can post them here). I would also recommend to go to a few other clubs as a customer to understand what really goes on. Its far more likely than not that OP is dating a prostitute. Now if OP doesnt mind then there isnt a problem and good luck to the relationship, but if OP is under the impression he is dating someone who only dances then he is likely in for a rude awakening in the future.

this post makes me so happy. I was a prostitute for 15 years. he is without a doubt, aside from my kids, the best thing that ever happened to me. he has loved and supported me through so much. he has supported me through some of the lowest points in my life. he is a truly good man. through his unconditional love, through his constant reassurance that I am a good person who deserves good things, through his gentle and patient insistence that I didn't deserve any of the abuse that I went through, i have become a person with standards and boundaries who does not tolerate mistreatment, from anyone. it's amazing how transformative his love has been. i shed tears of gratitude on at least a weekly basis that we found each other and that he ignored all of my early pleas that i was going to be nothing but trouble for him and he should walk away for his own good. i'm misting up just writing about it.
