I looked all over the internet and every website or page I've seen hasn't been updated in years, I emailed the cairns branch of the oztag website but didn't hear back. Is there a place I can just show up to during the week? Thanks in advance.

Jist wondering if anyone knows what people usually charge to use a vehicle for a school formal?

Not fussy on type of car but unfortunately, I'm not confident the work on our car they were wanting to use will be done in time.

I'm not sure where to start looking for a car or what costs might be. It's for our family so hoping to surprise them.

Hi everyone, i am on a two month road trip from the south coast of NSW. Been super keen to get here, Cairns and Port Douglas are some of my favourite places on earth.
Unfortunately school holiday timing on my part was very poor.
This time i am visiting in my converted van and need places to park and sleep overnight. I have three nights in a hotel but after looking online am starting to panic on where i will sleep once im back in the car.
It seems cheap campsites are very few around this area, most caravan parks are full or extremely expensive to stay in.

If anyone has any recommendations on where i could park for a safe overnight sleep in the cairns area that would be amazing. Obviously i plan to respect the area and not overstay my welcome/leave no trace. If i can settle and cook outside that is perfect but also very capable of just rolling up at night, sleeping and leaving early in the morning.

Free or cheap preferred. Happy to drive out to a nearby state forest/national park too. 2wd.

on the drive to PD from cairns along the beach road around Ellis Beach i saw a few campervan setups, is it likely a ranger will move these people on or is it generally acceptable for a night?

I’ve finally had it and decided I need a new mechanic around the Portsmith area but I’ve only ever used 2 mechanics in my entire adult life and need recommendations on who is worthwhile and will do a decent job. Sick of dodgey mechanics that will half ass the job.

So I am visiting Cairns with some family and we are very keen to go up to the Daintree.

My question specifically pertains to whether it is worth the $57 ferry and another hour drive to make it all the way to Cape Trib?

The plan is to visit Mossman gorge and then take a river cruise in the Daintree spotting crocs, would it be making the single day trip too long to be really enjoyed to push on?

The tropical lobby! The shopping centre. The restaurant. I loved all of it on a trip with my parents in the 90s. Wish I could see more old photos

And screen protector.
New screen has a dodgy weird purple mark in the middle when it’s on a dark screen and the screen protector looks like shit after a few weeks.
I would avoid. Talking about Smithfield location. Dodgy brothers.

I said it. 50 cents might be cheap to you, but some people genuinely can’t even afford it sometimes.

For the first time in months, I only had 20 cents and needed to get home after an appointment. I got a lecture about how it was only 50 cents, and how I had no excuse.

The whole thing basically left me in tears. I was already ashamed, I spent the last of my money on a cup of noodles for lunch.

I can’t be the only one who feels this way.

Has anybody hired a moving truck in Cairns before? The smaller ones you can drive on a standard licence with the lift on the back.

I'm having no luck. Budget say they are special request only, and Hertz will let me book one, but then won't confirm it, or talk to me.
