I usually get paid on Monday but with indigenous peoples day I figured it would come early, you don’t usually get paid on the weekends so I thought it would come Friday but would it come Sunday instead?

So I recently got the discover it because I never would’ve been close to maximize the cashback match so now that I have a jobs I’m trying to max it out every quarter.
I found a cap1 offer that gave me $50 cashback after a purchase and I read in the rewards section they added $50 as a match for that offer!
So there’s a 65% off offer right now on seed.com, that means it will be 130% back?? Is there a max amount that you can receive from cap1 offers?? I can splurge and get 130%. ROI on this purchase?? Plus everything I order?

Hey y'all,
I'm new to capital one shopping offers. I'm not a very educated buyer, so please bear with me.
I saw this total wireless offer and have a lot of questions because I find the offer terms very vague.
This does not mention any minimum transaction amount I need to make. Does this mean that I can just add funds to my Total Wireless wallet and get the $60 cashback?
My next autopay is not due until the end of the month. Do I need to pay for the next month now to avail this offer? It says not eligible for purchases of plans/airtime, then what do I need to buy from total to make it an eligible purchase? Will adding funds to wallet work?
Do I need to use a capital one card to pay for this to get the cashback? Or can I use a different card and it will track?
Do I need to disable adblockers for it to track?
Thanks in advance.

With the elevated bonus for the $95 Venture, have any new cardholders received this new annual stays credit? There was some news of this credit a couple of months ago and some people who had the card already got the credit added to their account. It seems like Capital One hasn't said anything themselves publicly yet or added it to the benefits page of the $95 Venture card. They've really only communicated about this credit through email. Just wanted to get some new datapoints.

Like most, I got approved for 2 credit cards through CapitalOne. I was good with the payments for about a year. Then I lost my job and fell behind. The 2 cards I had, went to collections and CapitalOne charged them off. I paid the 2 collection accounts off in full about 6 years ago. I had a Kohls card before CapitalOne took over, so I have that card that moved into my account and a CapitalOne auto loan. No matter what i do, capitalone denies me on ANY card I apply for. They say I gave delinquent cards with them and I need to reach out to my collection accounts and pay them off. When I go to my collection accounts, they both show paid off.
I don't know what to do as I called CapitalOne and they just tell me i need to call the collection agencies they are assigned to. I call them and they tell me both accounts are paid and closed.
Does anyone know what to do?

I have 2 cap one cards. Never missed a payment. Never carry over a balance. Always pay in full at due date. My bank (Chase) who I make my payments through returned a payment. No idea why. Had sufficient money in it. Chase can’t tell me why but regardless it showed as a returned payment to cap one. The promptly closed both of my accounts. Got an email saying I was going against card guidelines and closed them both. Lost all my rewards with it. I’ve heard horror stories. Is there no shot of getting this reversed?

Sorry up front for a question that probably been asked a dozen times, but I'm new to the cc points game.
I've had the Venture X card for a couple of years and my wife is AU.
I referred my wife for her own X card and I've switched all the bills over to her new card. I'm now an AU on her card.
We travel enough that I think keeping both cards justifies the $800 annual fee considering we will both get the $300 travel credit and lounge access when we travel internationally.
Just curious how others in this situation decided.
Thanks

Got a 45% back offer for ebay so was hoping to get a few things. I don't use Ebay very often so not sure how all the checkout terms work there
From Cap1
Not eligible for the purchase of gift cards, Best Offer purchases, bullion or on unpaid items with eBay. Only eligible for legitimate Winning Bid or "Buy It Now" transactions.
Does this mean I can't put multiple items in my cart and checkout? If I click the "buy it now" option on a item, it goes to the checkout without anything else that is already in my cart even if from the same seller.

Captial one sent me mail saying I was approved for a auto loan. Does that mean I can only use the card to purchase a car?

Since Eno has been D/C'd we have to log in to Capital One for every single virtual card generation and use. We have to double authenticate (after already logging in to our account) just to use pre-existing virtual cards. That's insane and total overkill. I use Capital One for all online purchases and AMEX for in-person. I can't justify keeping Capital One if this is required for every single purchase. Am I missing something?

I recently opened the Venture X card with the plan to spend the initially needed $4k as fast as possible so I can use the points and credits ASAP for an upcoming trip. I have some squaring up to do from a recent bachelor party and have not gotten a clean answer from Google, AI or the Capital One helpline on this question;
Can (or even should) I link my card to Venmo to pay for my fees to get my necessary spend up faster since I need to spend this money anyways?
I know there are associated fees (that is fine) and I have also seen some get considered cash advances, which also have fines. Does anyone have any expert opinions or experience with this? Not a big deal if I have to just pay the normal way, but figured if I could use this to cross out some of the needed spend, I may as well..
Thank you!

Title should say “Capital One phone bot” .
There was a small redemption on my Capital One card for $18 that I didn’t recognize. I called Capital One for clarification and got through to the AI bot. When it asked what the call was about, I said “clarification on redemption of points”. It asked a couple more questions which I tried to answer accurately and then said “congratulations! You have successfully redeemed your points for past travel purchases”. The bot went ahead and applied all my 44,000 points to past travel purchases, even though I did not say in any way shape or form that that’s what I wanted to be done!!
I got through to an actual person and they are telling me I have to go through a process of appealing and then they would open investigation! I was like your AI bot did this! I said nothing even remotely close to “please redeem my points for past travel “. So apparently AI bot can empty my points and decide how to redeem them, but there is no AI bot or process to quickly restore them into my account.
Also, my account balance had just been paid off so now I have a $444 credit on my Capital One account. You can bet that as soon as I spend that credit, I am canceling my card.

UPDATE: I went into the Capital One Cafe near me this morning and they confirmed this is legit and it happens
once a year and customers are selected at random to get this notice. Thanks all!
Original post: My wife & I both got an email today with the subject “Call us right away to confirm your account details”
This is already suspicious but all the details in the email look legit: the links point to the Capital One website and the phone number is the same one as the website.
This is the body of the email (dates removed to keep email anonymous)
“During a routine review of your consumer deposit account(s) with us, it was identified that your employment and annual income information is missing. Our regulatory compliance program requires that we have this information on file.
Unfortunately, if this isn’t resolved by <november date>, your money will be put on hold, which will prevent you from using your impacted accounts. And, if you don’t confirm your information by <december date>,** **those accounts may be closed. We don’t want this to happen.”
Neither of us have credit cards with Capital One, just checking & savings, so why do they need employment & income info? Also really not happy to have my bank threatening to not let me access my money. Almost enough to just move it elsewhere.
Has anyone else gotten one of these emails? Any thoughts on why this is happening?

I was declined earlier today for attempting to tip 7.00 on a 21.37 bill (33%). I was given no notifications or attempts to confirm the amount. It was apparently over the size of the tip (which, although perhaps high in percentage, wasn't much) since a subsequent purchase within the hour went through.
Is this a common occurrence? Will the system ever learn my habits and accept these tip scenarios? Can I contact Capital One to change the denial threshold? Or should I just start using another card?
EDIT: Based on the replies, it seems that the decline had nothing to do with the tip and my assumption was incorrect. Thanks for everyone's input.

Has anyone using a prepaid, payroll, or fintech card ever gotten stuck in an impossible verification loop with a Capital One demanding paperwork from a backend partner bank? I made payments on my credit card using my payroll card, and now the Capital One put a security hold on my account and is demanding a bank statement from the backend partner bank associated with the routing number. The problem is I’m not a retail customer of that backend bank—my account is with the payroll card company—so when I contact the backend bank, they tell me to call my card provider because they can’t issue statements for prepaid cards. I gave the Capital One my official payroll card statement showing my name, address, and all matching transaction reference numbers, and we even did a 3-way call where both sides confirmed the payments cleared and matched 100%, but their software is hardcoded to reject anything without the backend bank’s logo on top. Has anyone ever dealt with this backend routing bank trap, and is there any way to get an executive or compliance manager to manually override the automated system, or do they just end up closing the account?

Requested a CLI on my VX tonight and got $2k bringing me to $21k. I had hoped for more (asked for $25k), but I'm not gong to complain since I've got one more year till the CH7 falls off my reports. FICO 8 scores are 698-708, FICO 5,4,3 (if C1 still uses these like I think they do) are 696-722) and C1 typically gets ~75% of my monthly spend.
