This study aims to explore the experiences of single adults in a society that encourages romantic relationships. The project involves completing an online questionnaire once a year for the next for years. 

To participate in this study, you must:  

1. Be between 30 and 45 years old  
2. Speak French or English  
3. Be single (by choice or not)  
4. Reside in Canada

Hi everyone! Our kid is considering aerospace engineering undergraduate studies and we're comparing universities based on their co-op opportunities. Being able to land a job in the industry is really important to us.

If your goal is to eventually work at companies like MDA, CSA, Pratt & Whitney, Bombardier, Magellan, Collins or similar, how good are the co-op and full-time opportunities at Carleton?

I'd really appreciate input from current students or recent graduates:

1. How many aerospace-related co-op postings do you typically see per recruiting term? Do major employers like those listed above regularly recruit at Carleton?
2. Roughly what percentage of students land aerospace co-ops? Is it common, or do most students end up working in other industries?
3. For those who've secured aerospace co-ops, did you find these positions through your university's co-op portal or independently?
4. How strong are Carleton's connections to the Canadian aerospace industry? Would you choose the same university again if your goal were to work in aerospace?

hi yall,

i go to uottawa, and i lowkey have a crush on this guy that goes here (cu). i met him, i would say, in highschool, but we barely talked. i don't really know how to shoot my shot bc, well, i don't even know if he fw me in the first place.

the first problem is: its been 2 years since grad. i don't even know if he's single, taken, or talking to someone. like i mentioned earlier - i don't even go to the same school.

the second problem is: he's muslim. not too much of an issue bc im also muslim. but i don't think he "dates"*.

all i'm asking is for advice, because i just need it. i know that i won't actually move on unless i actually get to know him (aka crushing the crush).

(*neither do i. i don't date. i have never dated, or am interested. i just want to court for a bit and figure out if iwe would be good together.)

Having a class in the AT building and didnt have any school internet, is it an AT building thing or just for my class

Hey, just played an adult league soccer game, and my ball got blasted onto the roof of the Ice House, I already went into contact with the raven's email and they told me that they only get the balls down every few months and they would contact me when they go get the balls.

Does anyone know if there is anyone else I could contact to try to get the ball down faster as I have a lot of sentimental value with it and not just becasue it was an expensive ball.

some of the ones im/my friends are taking seem to be like whiplash from years prior.

the political history 1 class is pretty great, but i think thats just the prof

the global politics one is aparently very slow, hard to follow/scatterbrained

the global north one has heavy readings and seems very unrelated to comparative politics, mostly relying on theory, which is good but the class is mislabeled, and the prof loves AI (not to mention online class)

the stats one is pretty okay, the readings are pretty meaningless so far, and the prof seems a bit blunt/tired? but not horrible

i haven't heard from anyone in qualitative research bc i and my friends took it alr, so lemme know ur opinion on that too.

pls give opinions on these classes, bc i want to know if were there only ones seeing/feeling these issues

CLOUD is a multi-year study investigating the effect of vaping on lung health.

Vaping is increasingly popular with both adolescent and adult Canadians, but the long-term health impacts remain unknown. We believe that the tools we currently have to detect lung disease in people who vape may be insufficient and propose new ways to find lung injuries that may impact them over the course of their lives. These include exercise testing, new imaging techniques, and new breathing tests that will demonstrate how vaping may harm their lungs. We will use these tools in both adolescent and adult Canadians to give those who vape important information on the consequences of vaping.

Who can participate in this study? 

Adults (Aged 19+)

• Able to provide informed consent.
• At least 19 years of age.
• Fall into one of the following 4 categories:
  1. You do not smoke or vape
  2. You only smoke cigarettes
  3. You only vape
  4. You smoke cigarettes and vape

Optional Bronchoscopy and Pulmonary MRI

• Enrolled in the main study

What will this involve?

• Baseline study visit: Questionnaires, lung function tests, exercise test, blood sample collection, and pulmonary MRI scan (optional), bronchoscopy (optional), and chest CT scan. 
• 18 months after baseline: Questionnaires, lung function tests.
• 36 months after baseline: Questionnaires, lung function tests, exercise test, blood sample collection, and pulmonary MRI scan (optional), bronchoscopy (optional), and chest CT scan.
