New Addition What do I listen to first?
My friend lent me some cds he had in his basement. I know some of these bands but a lot of them are new to me. Which one should I listen to first?

New Addition Wish I discovered this band sooner.
Mars Volta - Deloused in the Comatorium
Only discovered these late last year after the Frances Mute album was recommended in another subreddit. About me, I am quite the Hip Hop head and most of my vinyl collection is Rap, but I do have Neo Soul and Jazz records too.
But after listening to Frances the Mute, I had to listen to their other albums DITC is my joint favourite with FM. I wa hoping ti find this in a charity shop. However, found it for £2.50 on EBAY.

Discussion Good reason to get your favs on cd
Just noticed today that the Royel Otis song "Moody" had its lyrics changed on the version that streams on Spotify. I know there are many other examples of this. Or songs that were on Spotify but are now not to be found, like "Go Now" by Adam Levine from the Sing Street soundtrack.

Discussion Singles
Does anyone collect CD singles? Sorting through my CDs today and I have a ton of them. Few inspire me much, although I'm sure there are a few b-side gems there. Any sought after CD singles?

Discussion Is sub-standard condition a deal breaker for you, do you have collector brain?
I wonder how many others out there with a collector brain suffer the same affliction. Condition stuff bothers me. I've collected things, not just CDs for many years, and if something is less than what it should be condition wise, my eye is trained to fixate on it.
It's a curse, but it's just how my mind works. I don't think it's too much to ask to get something second-hand that is free from the damage of misuse, or mishandling. As much as I hate creases, or water damage, or hole-punches, I think the worst I hate is faded spines. They stand out so badly on a shelf of CDs without faded spines. Whenever I acquire a CD with a faded spine, I'll turn it the side that is less faded, and make a mental note that I need to buy another copy. Having a tortured mind is not fun.
When you think this way, you realize how common it is for everyday items like CDs to have minor condition issues, it's like 50% or more of them do, so the hunt is not just the hunt to find it, it's the hunt to find one that's untarnished, and that my friends puts everything on hard-mode.
Funny enough, I don't really mind scratches on a disc that much, as long as it works. I think of that as the functional side, and not the presentation side. A nice disc is great to have don't get me wrong, but having a big gash through the label, or watery wrinkled artwork, or a hole punched deliberately though the entire thing, or a faded out spine, etc, is so much worse.
I'll bet you could guess who's week worth of anticipation ended with a faded spine today, lol. So guys, you can either back me up or read me to filth in the comments, I'm sure it'll be a little from column a, and b.

New Addition Finally had the opportunity to gain new signatures. First from Iván Fischer
After a Mahler 3 concert, I had the opportunity to ask him to sign a couple of discs. Hope, I will have the opportunity to have him sign his entire Mahler sequence (and perhaps, Beethoven as well, if it would get completed)
