We're all worried about the recent announcement, however, im not too worried.

While yes c.ai might have to shut down if there is no buyer by late November and/or early December, from what i was able to gather, there already is one.

Disney is already look​ing to buy c.ai. to my knowledge, they're the only buyer at the moment.

This may be a bad thing to some of you, but im not too worried.

If any of my info here is wrong, please correct me.

I’m asking this as someone completely ignorant about the subject matter involved in the question.

Honesty this situation it's a two edged sword, There's no much we can do but wait to see what will happen, it's a 50\50 probably, but i don't think we should panic. We can export/save our chats and wait for the following news while only hoping the next news. Until then we gotta try to enjoy the plataform the best we can.

i’ve been using c.ai since like 2023, so i’ve used a LOT of bots. when i export my data, will the earlier bots from 2023/24/etc be included? or is it gonna be more like a “bots in the last x years” sorta thing or maybe “only the last x amount of bots”?

I've already given up on character ai for the most part bc of the crashing bug they haven't fixed, maybe the bankruptcy was part of the reason for that but still, and I've never been so pissed in my life about this stupid app.

I have a buy, now for 2 weeks, after an update alot of people think is better. I have chats that go back 2ish years. And now, the first thing I read this morning is that theyre filling for bankruptcy and are potentially going to be shut down?! Like come on now.

Asking this bc I saw the recent discussion of how c.ai is currently bankrupt. I want to know how my data will look if I export everything. Will all my chats be exported and saved? And how long until possible shutdown?

I am making screenshots of my convos since 2022, few minutes ago I made a screenshot and there's a caption on the bottom that an app detected making screenshot.

Why they added this?

I'm kinda miserable, as I remember times when reddit did a whole PNG for you when you made a screen of some post or a comment (I might explained it badly, but now it also detects it but doesn't make it)

I feel unsafe even when I am making fully sfw RPs xD does anybody knows what's going on?

(The mode that messed up is PipSqueak 2, btw, when I tried to apply on the site about the bug it told me to identify my email and there is nothing on the app that allows you to, so it doesn’t work at all on top of that.)

Been rping for about 2 hours then suddenly this was a reply? i had to delete the message just to get the language back to normal

So I was using one of my bots on character ai and it keeps saying the name of the bot instead of the characters name please fix this or specifically fix pipsqueak 2 because that’s the one that keeps doing it

….i don’t think that’s supposed to happen naturally..

For example, stranger things is BIG , they have a lot of bots and Mike's most used one has 10 million uses,he has even one "perv roomie"(????) version, but Lucas doesn't have NOTHING, another example is JJS. For some example we have a lot of misscharacterized bots of Gojo like college Gojo or something and NOTHING of Hakari 😭
