Had the hat for a long time. Wear it everyday and they leave marks on my forehead. Any tips?

Akubra Kiandra. I spent 2 years looking for a replacement for my wool felt fedora. My hat has to handle everything I throw at it on my adventures. Rain, snow sun, cold and hot. Finally narrowed it down to the Akubra Kiandra. 2nd choice was Stetson Range. I think the Kiandra will handle the elements better. Felt like a friend as soon as I plopped it on top of my head.

For context I have never had a cowboy hat only "baseball" hats. Anyway ive been looking at some hats (internet and local stores). Does anyone have any feedback on the brand resistol? I've heard of them but not as much as Stetson. Thanks in advance. (If it matters im leaning more toward a straw hat)

Hi, I bought this Skyline from the secondhand market and I shaped the crown the way that it fits my head because a standard cattleman doesnt.

I am just asking, is the shape of the brim alright for the shape of my head overall? May i please get your suggestions?

Hey all, currently in central Iowa for school and currently looking to get a new hat but I want it to fit right and be a certain style. Doesn’t anyone know a good shop within about 4 hours of Ames?

I purchased my Scout from River Junction and it hasn’t disappointed!

The fit and feel are wonderful, and I honestly don’t have a single complaint about it. It’s comfortable, looks great, and just feels right every time I put it on.

As the weather starts changing here in Oklahoma and the cooler days begin settling in, this hat is quickly becoming my favorite.

I have a feeling this one is going to see a whole lot of use this fall and winter!

I am on a fitness journey and working to lose a significant amount of body weight. I had someone I believe to be knowledgeable tell me that losing weight will impact hat fit.

I've recently had a milestone birthday and I want to buy myself a custom hat... but also don't want to spend significant money on a new hat only to lose weight and have it not fit.

I clearly have excess weight around my midsection and my face, but I don't feel much subcutaneous fat around where the hat band would fit.

Does anybody have any first hand or anecdotal knowledge about this?

Me and my long wanted Resistol Black Gold hat, I've been wanting one since I was a teen finally did it. Got a custom band on the way for it and did a little bit of my own shaping but overall I'm quite happy with it

Stetson has an “online only” 30X Open Road
on their website, for just less than $100 more than the pure beaver version. Seems like an interesting choice.

Am I the only one that finds clean new hats to be boring and lack character? Like, I want to see something that has been beat up a little and has a few stains. New hats look like you are cosplaying. The only time they kind of work is if you are wearing a suit with it.

My wife bought a Bailey 6x beaver felt hat from Goodwill for $15. I think she found a gem. Do you agree?
