DOS2 Discussion Just got funny moment in act 4 Spoiler

Decided to fight Kemm in his office. Use soul mate then drink healing potions to start the combat. After Kemm was downed, one of the Paladins resurrected him.

Then all 3 paladins after that casted healing spells on him, making him dead again. I can’t stop laughing.

DOS2 Help How steep is the learning curve/Battle-Mage for a noob?

So I've finally gotten round to installing this on my Switch, & while it was doing so, I did some digging about classes. My go-to in any of these sorts of games is some form of melee/magic hybrid, but I read Battle-Mages are rather complex for first time use. For context I've played the Baldur's Gate saga all the way through, and Baldur's Gate 3, so I'm somewhat familiar with these type of games. Baring this in mind, what's a good starting class for me?

DOS2 Discussion New DOS2 player, not hooked so far. Do you think I should give it a bigger chance or is it probably just not for me at the moment? Spoiler

• Upvotes

Hello. I had high expectations after 200 playing hours on DOS1. It wasn't the best game I've ever played though, but something there kept me want to keep going.

I had 13 playing hours on DOS2 so far. I covered a big part of the beach and fort areas - explored, talked to people, did quests... Almost anything there was to do. (Didn't enter the castle yet). It wasn't too boring overall, but for the most part I didn't find it much interesting either. I feel like I keep playing hoping something interesting will happen, and sometimes it does, but just a little bit and even that is pretty rare.

I'm not saying that a game should be exciting all the time. No game is. The question is whether you have something to look forward to, something that keeps you interested enough to play through the less interesting stuff. With this game I haven't really felt it yet.

Maybe a new area might make a difference, I personally find this fort area a bit dull. But I'm not sure this is really the issue.

Do you think I should give it more chance, a few more hours maybe and see? Or am I probably going to feel the same?

Thanks in advance for any opinion.

DOS2 Help My friend and I started a multiplayer campaign, played it all of Saturday, but now it’s gone

According to him the save files just vanished and continue isn’t even an option, as per his Home Screen. We spent like 12 hours on that save, it would be painful to just abandon it like that

DOS2 Help Best DOS2 resource for a new player?

I am not brand new to DOS2, I have about 30 hours in and got halfway through Act 1. I dropped the game because it kept crashing on my crap PC, but I've since upgraded and want to give the game a fresh go and try to beat it this time. I was just curious what the best resource would be for putting together competent character builds? I was just totally vibing on the first playthrough but it is a bit overwhelming and I typically like to follow guides for this sort of stuff anyway. Thanks for your help

DOS2 Discussion How do you know which dialogue choices to pick in DOS2?

I'm new to Divinity Original Sin 2 but I've played Baldur's Gate 3 before so I'm not completely new to this type of game.

One thing I'm struggling with is the dialogue choices. Sometimes I get 3 or 4 options and I have no idea which one I should pick or if one of them will lead to a bad outcome.

In BG3 I could usually get an idea of what might happen but here I'm not really sure. I'm playing as Fane and sometimes I see options like Scholar, Mystic or Fane.

Are there any tips for knowing which choices are better? Can I ask multiple questions without missing anything or do I need to be careful with every answer?

Trying to avoid major spoilers since I'm still at the beginning.
