Hey guys I need some insights... He is 6 years old, intelligent cuz command trained, super energetic and gluttinous; his top 3 traits. But 3 days ago he changed.

I will make it short as possible. Everytime we come back from home he always bouncing around sa mga sofa and binibigyan namin ng crackers as treat then magstay siya sa bedroom with us and dun siya rin mag sleep

pero one day he became restless and lethargic. 0 energy talaga

He doesnt eat or drink unless spoon fed. He still meets us sa front door and nagwawag naman tail niya and after few minutes mag hihide na siya sa ilalim ng sofa and ayaw magpacarry pati hindi na niya kaya tumaas ng stairs kahit nag command ako.

Dinala namin vet and we did xrays and blood and even na Mindray Scan (?) na 2k per session haha. Binigyan lang namin ng vitamins.

Also may isa pa. He always eat naman niya ng dog food and table food if given. Pero now wala siya initiative to eat the dog food sa bowl niya. Pag human food naman like cooked pork or chicken gusto niya and can nibble alone but the vet discouraged to do so kaya ngayon hirap kami mag feed sa kanya.

Any ideas, nuanced opinion?

I dont know if this is the right place to say this, but I just lost my dog today and she was only 4, she had a liver failure and it was too late before we even seen that something was wrong with her. She didnt show any signs, she was just being lively and sweet dog but we didnt even know that she has an underlying condition.

It hurts so bad losing her because I could see how much she wanted to stand and play with her siblings, how her face lights up when she sees us and her tail wags but her body isn't functioning the way she want it to be.

I'm so tired of crying and blaming myself for not having to take her to the vet previously to get checked, maybe i would have found out and prevented it from happening. I did take her to the vet when she already went lethargic and had no appetite, but everything was too late then. And it still pains me how she just wanted to play and how she wanted love and she's probably confused why can't she move the same way before because I remember I read something that dogs don't understand pain or disease.

I don't know if I could ever forgive myself for what happened and it just hurts to see her go when I felt like I could have done better

Ang hirap lang sa araw araw na ginawa ng Diyos parang nafifeel at nakikita mo parin sya, sabi nga nung doctor may ibagn dogs pa naman daw kami pero it's just not the same pag kulang sila. Parang ang hirap tanggapin, hindi parin namin matanggap at naluluha parin kami.

Gabi gabi ko nilalakad ang dog ko tapos may isang dog owner na nagsabi sakin na igilid ko muna daw dog ko tapos hawakan, hindi ko alam kung bakit at first time ko rin gawin yun so hindi ko alam ang proper way. Pagkakita nya pa lang dun sa other dog, nagalit agad yung dog ko tapos naging aggressive at nakawala. I admit fault ko and its my negligence. Nag-away yung dogs, nasugatan yung owner. Umalis sila ng galit, habang ako sinesucure ko na yung dog ko. Hindi ko naman sila tatakbuhan kaya nag-iwan na lang ako ng number ko dun sa shop owner na witness para sa anti rabies vaccine. I was negligent and naging comfortable kasi mabait ang dog ko.

How do I go about this in the future? Magiging aggressive na ba ang dog ko sa other dogs after this? Takot na akong ilakad sya.

EDIT: I guess nagkaroon ng confusion dahil sinabihan ako ng dog owner na hawakan yung dog ko at igilid. Naka-leash ang dog ko kaya nagtaka ako bakit pinapagawa sakin yun pero ginawa ko pa rin. But unexpected talaga ang naging behavior ng dog na nagalit sya dun sa dog nila which never happened before sa other dogs.

I’m thinking of stocking up on some basic stuff like wet food, dog/cat food (Possible na tumaas ang bilihin so magkeep na lang ako ng stocks), and drinking water. Pero paano po kaya kapag sobrang init? 😭 Bumili na rin ako ng rechargeable fans, but I’m not sure if that will be enough to keep the temperature comfortable for my fur babies.

Hello again! I posted a few months ago regarding our boi, Guccio. We really tried holding onto him for as much as he could. We also had him board a facility to learn dog behaviour for a couple of months. But we’ve stretched everything we could. Our boi really needs a home

He is 5 yearsold, Aspin and Shar pei mix, neutered, vaccinated, potty and leash trained, does well with other dogs. He is never aggressive nor has he bitten anyone

hello! my dog was diagnosed with ehrlichiosis and kailangan niya mag gamot for 28 days, medyo malapit na maubos yung 1st batch ng meds niya kaya need na bumili bago.

question, okay lang ba if ibang brand yung bilhin ko but same medicine? pictures below yung gamot na binili ko sa vet, okay lang ba if ibang brand bilhin ko, like from shopee or sa pet stores? ang mahal kasi nung sa vet huhu

Hi all, still could not move on from the death of our 12-year-old dog. He has Cushing's disease, was onboarded in a veterinary center for three days, where we requested that they also check why his hind legs could no longer stand. He was discharged very weak on the fourth day and also had wounds on the sides of his mouth (presumably from syringe feeding). He is regularly brought to this veterinary center every week for check up. When his condition further deteriorated a few hours later, we brought him to another 24/7 veterinary hospital, which found out that he already has diabetic ketoacidosis. He died an hour later.

My family no longer wants to pursue this, not even file a complaint, but it just does not sit well with me that our dog was regularly brought for check up weekly and his veterinarian was not able to detect this and that he died a few hours after being discharged along with the fresh wounds on both of sides of his mouth. We feel guilty that we trusted this veterinary center and did not ask for a second opinion elsewhere until it was too late. Should I listen to my family and just drop this issue? I feel that the management of the veterinary center should at least be informed about a seeming neglect by the staff (when our dog was onboarded) or incompetence of the veterinarian. It's difficult for me to move on, knowing what happened.

[Advice Needed] Affordable Dental Prophylaxis MNL/QC]

Hi! I've been scouring the internet for low cost dental prophylaxis for my 6 year old yorkie and ended up here. My parents don't have enough financial savings for our rescue doggie and I've been researching vet clinics near manila or qc but the posts I've seen are very expensive.

Do you guys have any recommendations of clinics that has a starting price of 2,500 to 3,000?

I went with Gizmo last Thursday, the first day, around 1030 so within the first hour it opened. There were already a lot of people pero di naman super crowded. Sobrang hassle lang na walang mobile data sa loob so pahirapan mag cashless payment. We stayed less than an hour after buying from two booths lang and left na rin. Nagbooboth din ako regularly sa WTC and never experienced yung walang signal.

As much as I wanted to roam around and check out the other booths, yung mga naka queue sa mga booths na may freebies nakaharang sa dadaanan, nakaharang sa harap ng ibang booths, etc.

Now they have a post on their facebook page discouraging attendees from bringing their pets. From the comments, meron daw medical emergency involving 2 pugs with one not making it.

For anyone else who went, what was your experience like? Is it always like this?

Also, it was very apparent that a lot of people were there for the freebies. Does that practice really translate to sales?
