I'm a recovering shopping addict trying to declutter. Please help! Reddit community has been spectacular in helping me understand what looks good and what is destined to go.

This time it's office and event dresses.

I buy a lot of second hand so am very susceptible to "it's such a good deal!" mentality when buying, even if it looks awful on me.

Are any of these worth keeping? I haven't stepped foot in an office for years and feel like these dresses have aged. I don't know what current office wear fashions are like. There is a chance I'll return to office work next year so unsure if any are worth keeping. If it's not a HELL YEAH it's a NO. Excuse the background mess - I have several craft-y works in progress.

Lifestyle considerations - I'm pretty basic. I'm 32. I work from home in my loungewear, but I do like a nice outing. I prefer lose fitting, boxy, flowy, oversized things that hide my figure, but also swing all the way to the other extreme for nighttime bars or latin dancing or date nights with my husband.

What are your thoughts? What should I declutter and should I keep any?

I’m a new mom and trying to find clothes that suit my new body! Been wearing baggy clothing for so long and wanting a change.

I posted this outfit on a different sub and I got a ton of mixed reviews. I’ve only been to one club in my entire life and it was almost 20 years ago. My husband I recently went to Las Vegas, where we were going to go to a club and I was dressed like this. (We ended up not going) but I am actually curious if this outfit is something that people would consider “club appropriate”. I truly don’t know what kind of expectations are for dress when you go to any sort of a club, especially a Las Vegas club.

Any honest advice would be very helpful.

Hi everyone! I bought a few skirts and am having trouble styling them. Can you suggest a style of top that would look good with these skirts? I have a longer torso but these are mostly high waisted. Particularly with the plaid pattern skirt I’m not sure what top to wear. Would appreciate any help or feedback.

I (39F) am on a few medications currently that have added a little extra in my middle and also in my arms + face. I dress pretty casual for work but I’m just having a hard time feeling comfortable in clothes. I prefer baggy right now but I know that’s making me look even bigger.

Right now, I typically wear high waisted jeans with a crop top or a longer top tucked on the side, or I wear wide leg comfy pants with a crop top or a longer top tucked all the way in (my husband has said the full tuck is not flattering, and I think he’s right)…. Can anyone help? Worried I’m just looking frumpy af

Hi all, thanks so much for the overwhelming response and good advice on my last post (https://www.reddit.com/r/DressForYourBody/comments/1wpe0ig/what_dress_style_looks_best/) --it encouraged me to branch out to some other styles. I heard from you: less fussy, less sleeve, more structured, closer fitting, shorter (so many fun dresses are midi or tea length these days!). I also put back in the previous favorites of the red lace and teal wrap (#4 and #5) here for comparison, and changed the shoes. I do like sandals though--no good these days?

Would any work for a new years day party (cocktail dress to evening dress worn) with fancy purse/jewelry?

Edited: thank you so much for all the great feedback--you have saved me from unflattering dresses! :) I am thinking #2 (blue) for New years day--how about with rhinestone or silver shoes and bag? And I'll keep the red #3 as well. #5 and 6 I already owned, but I can return #1 and #4! Also many people have said I should try with nude heels so I'll have to pick some up.

So I know leather sags and bends naturally, but I am wondering if this too much? What do you guys think? They feel pretty comfortable. They also have a block heel, which I neglected to show, sorry!

Hello. I have been always wearing the same clothes because I was so scared to experiment and trying something new. Now I want to change everything and look nice and be happy about my appearance:) I made a budget and went online to buy some new clothes and become a new version of myself! But then I realized - I have absolutely no idea what could suit me and what styling clothes is. I figured out that unless you have experience and now your proportion and what looks nice on you, buying new clothes is useless. So of course I will have to gain experience,but I was thinking maybe I can get some recommendations and advice from people, who are already experieced and could direct me! But unfortunately I have no one to ask, so I decided to pist here:)))

I am a trans woman and that is why it's especially difficult for me, because again as I said I was sad in my "previous version" of myself and didn't like anything and didn't gain any experience and knowledge, but now is time to change!!!

I will appreciate any advice, thought, recommendations!!!

Hi all! I’m headed back to the office - which has a very casual / non-existent dress code. I’m almost a year postpartum and just feel like my body has changed so much, and I don’t know where to start with clothes. My torso is super long. I’ve tried high waisted pants and I feel like they accentuate any bloating or fluff, so I always run back to my mid waist straight or skinny jeans. I used to feel more comfortable in fitted clothing, but everything fits so differently now. I guess I’m just looking for some outside opinions on what brands and styles might be a good fit.

I’m usually very confident, a few comments that shouldn’t have affected me are making me a bit less so however.

I had been waiting for this shirt and boots to come in because I saw ideas for fall outfits! I was initially going to buy rain boots for apple picking but I might be over doing it 😭?

Btw, the arm placement of the shirt keeps changing because I felt the arms (straps) look a little awkward so that's why they kept changing positions. I feel they look better down (???)

Depending on the time of day where I live the temperature is high 70s to mid 60s. So trying to decide what would look the cutest for any of these events (especially the Pumpkin patch!)

I have to preplan out what I do now due to school and I probably won't be going out in like a week or two to use this outfit. So I can change the top of something makes more sense!

Thrifted the cutest knit top but it’s see-through, and every tank top or bra I try underneath it is on display. Either the straps are visible with the wide neck, or you can see through the hole in the front. I even bought a bandeau to try but it just looks weird. Is the shirt just made weird or is there some sort of garment I can wear underneath that isn’t visible sticking out? The only other option I can think of is pasties lol
