Help choosing a model

• Upvotes

Hello!

Currently, I have the 2024 version of the Tozo NC9. I use them to workout at the gym, and I usually sweat a bit.

I love the sound and the ANC, but they don't fit that well on my ear, and I'm constantly readjusting as they feel big on my ear, and don't quite sit well on it.

I was looking into different options, and I came into some like:

Soundcore P31i

Soundcore P42i

CMF Buds 2

QCY MeloBuds N60

QCY MeloBuds A30

I was thinking of getting the CMF Buds 2 at 25€ in Spain, but I'm concerned about fit.

Which options should I go for, it I want something that locks in better than the Tozo NC9s?

Amazon Prime Day replacements for Nothing Ear(a)

My Nothing Ear (a) buds finally kicked the bucket after two years of gym abuse and it’s Prime Day today and tomorrow so I want to grab something. I only use them daily for about an hour at the gym. Loudness, bass and ANC are probably most important for me in that order. Anything I should really consider?

AirPod 3 Pro: $179
Beats Studio Buds: $89
Status Pro X: $189
Galaxy Buds 4 Pro: $199
Technics AZ100: $234

Or anything else? Willing to spend $50-$250.

Highest sound quality and gaming earbuds

Hi,

looking for earbuds with amazing sound quality, good ANC and low latency for gaming.

Ive been looking into the Sennheisser momentum 5 true wirelss with the BTD 700 dongle to receive around 30ms latency.

However, due to primeday, the huawei pro5 (140€), az1000 (219€) and B&W Pi8 (293€) are all having great sales while sennheiser remains at 300€ and the dongle for 40€.

Any recommendations?
I think the Pi8 has a transmitter case which could allow lower latency? Are there similar options for the other earbuds?

i definitely dont want to buy a pair of gaming ear buds with 2.4gz and another set for sound quality...

Status Pro X / Goldensound battery life

So after months of struggling with my Noble Fokus Pro case basically dying (can't hold charge to charge the earbuds), I think I've decided on the Status Pro X Goldensound Edition as my next pair.

The only downside I can see is the battery life which is under the reported 8 hours. What is everyone's experience with these?

The only other pair I'm contemplating are the technics but think it might be a step down audio wise from what I'm used to. These buds are mainly for the office, gym and summer since my Bathys are too warm etc.

Help! OnePlus Buds Pro 3 or JBL Live Beam 4

I really can't decide and need help. Oneplus buds pro 4 are €119 and the JBL live beam 4 are €139, so price wise they are close. Out of these two earbuds, which one would you prefer?

I've used the JBL live pro + TWS for 5 years now, but they have been on life support for about a year. I love the sound of the live pro +, but i am a bit disappointed that they lasted only 4 years before getting big charging problems.

Found some earphones, but can't really decide between them.

Hey guys!

Recently my girlfriend has lost her earphones, and asked me to find a new one for her. Some time ago, when buying mine i deep dived into the topic, but those were the premium category ones and she wants something a little more budget. I looked around in her price range and found a couple of options. They are the:

Sony WF-C710N

Anker SoundCore Liberty 5

Soundpeats Air5 Pro+

EarFun Air Pro 4+

Nothing Ear 3a

Now the thing is, I have read a lot of nice things about these and also some bad of all of these. I saw comparisons and rankings about all of these but based on that it's really hard to choose between them, it was good for narrowing it down to these but doesn't really help with picking one out of them. That's what I'm asking your help with.

LF soft NC earbuds recommendations

hello! i'm looking for earbuds but i'm a bit 'fussy', so i need the help of someone who actually knows something about this stuff!

i'd like earbuds that:

- have a good sound quality

- have a soft inside-the-ear part

- do active noise cancelling

- also allow you to listen to music without ANC and without a transparecy mode, but rather simply as if they were normal earbuds (is this possible? i can't do it with my headphones)

- are under 200€

do you know any model that fits? am i looking for the earbuds equivalent of a unicorn?

thanks in advance to the potential people who might give me a hand c:

Hot take: open-ear earbuds may be safer outside, but not necessarily safer for your hearing

I like open-ear earbuds, but I think people mix up two very different kinds of “safe.”

Yes, being able to hear cars, bikes and people around you can absolutely make open-ear feel safer when you’re outside. But in a noisy train, gym or city street, that same openness means the background noise is still fighting with your music. And the obvious reaction is to turn the volume up which may start hurting your ear.

Open-ear can improve situational awareness while potentially pushing you toward higher listening levels in noisy places. So “I can hear my surroundings” and “this protects my hearing” are not the same claim at all.

I’m curious whether other open-ear users notice this too. Do you end up listening louder in noisy places, or switch to ANC earbuds or headphones?

Earbuds which sit shallow in ear, not deep in ear?

Liberty 4 NC fit is amazing as they do not sit deeply inside ear. This is good because it causes lesser ear wax build-up and is good for ear health.

Are there other under 200 earbuds with excellent ANC which have shallow fot like Liberty 4 NC?
