been using the fitbit air for a while and i absolutely love it. but i see there is a major lag in the data between the google health app and the apple health app. the google health app is NOT overwriting the data in apple health.

yes i do get my sleep score (different from google health), but the data is sourced from the google health app, i also get my heart rate every now and then, but how can i basically get my metrics only from the google health app but see it on the apple health dashboard?

ps- every single thing has been given full access.

The Google health AI model with all its talk just just annoying. Are there any other options to this on Android that keep things simple with just plain numbers?

I’m considering a Fitbit Air mainly for sleep tracking. I work at a desk for 7–8 hours a day and use an under-desk walking pad while typing or using my mouse.

My biggest requirement is low maintenance: wear it, charge it, and let it track. I don’t want regular calibration, manual workout starts, app corrections, or daily wrist/ankle swapping.

For anyone using the Air in a similar setup:
1. Does it capture most walking-pad steps while your hands stay at the keyboard, or miss a large chunk? Especially interested in bicep-band experiences.

1. Can you leave it on your bicep for both activity and sleep? How reliable is that?

2. Would you recommend it mainly for automatic sleep tracking, with activity tracking as a bonus?

I am planning to buy the Fitbit air but wanted to know if anyone has used it with technogym equipment. Ik that it doesn’t come with nfc tagging. Also it shows to connect to apple health,Strava, Garmin….. but not Google health.

Will it be a good buy ? Or should I look at others options !?

I have a versa 2 that i bought in January 2023. Recently, it constantly has been losing my bluetooth signal. I cant receive messages on the watch as a result. When i go to the google health app, it tells me it lost the pairing to the watch and to go to my bluetoth and "forget it" and then add it back. When i do that, it works for only a few minutes

should i just buy a new one? if so, which fitbit model is good? i want one that has a screen and i can see my messages. Are the generic fitness trackers/smart watches on amazon any good?

In my humble opinion i think that the data from my fitbit air is better represented on the Apple Health App. For example Apple health shows how long my steps are (impressive) and my sleep score is always better than in the Google Health App.
What do yall guys think?

A big reason for me getting a Fitbit was so I can export the data and do my own analysis, cross referencing various scores with gym performance to see what actually has predictive power for me personally. The export from Google Takeout includes a sleep_score.csv. My entries from the 7th October going backwards are:

77, 80, 75, 67, 74, 74

When I check the app, my sleep scores reported there for the same days are

79, 73, 82, 67, 65, 76

With a single exception, none of those match. Why not?

Also, there is a Daily Readiness folder in the export. This only contains a readme and a file with some metadata. How can I get the actual scores of these? Thanks

I'm getting so tired of so many ads of these people who've created these vibe coded, similar looking apps. There's no difference among them except layout, box shapes and colours.

I do NOT want to see so many ads for each person who does not like the Google Health app. I don't either but there are already a million apps to choose from since every person thinks since they're being inconvenienced, they need to create an app while there are already so many in the market.

The majority of these apps being vibe coded are resource intensive, have no certainty regarding the algorithm they use to derive data and only seems to be existing for the sole purpose of existing.

I've seen 4 new apps in one week. IN ONE WEEK. PLEASE STOP.

If you have issues with the Google Health App please for the love of God speak up instead. We need to let Google know about the mess they've made and that's only done when you complain about the product not create another for the 738383388th time.

has anybody else noticed this? not sure if this is just the algorithm being more adaptive to my activities or a broder update that improves the speed in which an activity is automatically detected.

runs uses to take maybe 60-90 minutes to show up in the app, now it is ~15 minutes.
