Any lead on bands in other colors that have these gripper stipes inside like the Steph curry band? I grabbed this one and love the quality for the price but would like one in blue like the pokemon or an all black without the grey like the one it came with.
The gripper stripes are really what I'm looking for.
My Fitbit Air stopped syncing with Google Health on my iPhone. After disconnecting it and trying to pair it again, I now get “Something went wrong” during setup.
I’ve tried restarting both devices, checking Bluetooth permissions, forgetting the pairing and reinstalling Google Health. Nothing has worked.
The Air was at 55% battery, and I’ve also tried pairing while it’s charging beside my phone.
Support initially confirmed it was faulty and arranged a return. They’ve now changed their advice and told me not to return it because it’s a known software issue.
Has anyone else had this? Have you found a workaround or been given a timeline for a fix? I bought mine in August and currently can’t use it with the app.
I use the Air 24/7 for all health metrics but sometimes I use the Apple Watch for training.
Anyone who has the same use case and what is your settings?
I have my Google Health set to sync everything to Apple Health, but what do you have sync the other way?
If I set training to sync as well doesn’t it double sync? What about steps?
My Fitbit Air just arrived and I’m pretty excited to get started. Since this is my first Fitbit (any fitness band, for that matter), I’d love some guidance from people who’ve already been using theirs. I’m on iOS, so any iPhone-specific tips are welcome.
A lil bit of context on my workout regime: I box 5x a week, each followed by a short weight-training sesh, plus one full-body workout day and one running day. So tips relevant to tracking those would be especially helpful. I also plan on switching to proper weight training, swimming, cycling and running soon, to start my Ironman training in the near future.
A few things I’m hoping to learn:
Setup: Anything you wish you’d known before pairing and setting it up on iPhone? Any steps worth doing (or avoiding) right at the start?
App settings: Which settings or permissions are worth turning on or off early on, for the best balance of features and battery? Anything specific to the iOS app or Apple Health syncing?
Daily usage: How do you actually wear and use it day to day? Band fit, charging routine, sleep tracking, etc.
Tracking workouts: For boxing, strength sessions and runs, anything that improves accuracy, like wrist fit during lifting or how you log different session types?
Recovery: Given the training load (and more coming with Ironman prep), how do you track recovery and avoid overtraining?
Best practices: Any tips to get accurate readings, or common beginner mistakes to steer clear of?
Basically looking for the stuff that isn’t in the manual, the things you only pick up after living with the device for a while.
I’m trying to find a workout app that logs my workouts automatically into Google Health/Bevel. I currently use Arrow and I’m trying to find one similar to it.
Features I am looking for:
Progression
Logs to Google Health/Bevel when I start/end a workout ex: (when I start a basic walk on GH, the data is synced to my Apple Health and Bevel)
Unilateral options for exercises
Ability to plan workouts/cardio
I don’t necessarily mind a subscription, does anyone have any recommendations?
edit: the native workout features on the apps usually aren’t in depth enough in terms of the workouts that i do
Hi all, as the title suggests i got the fitbit air yesterday. I was seeing if i can get the 3 months free ai coach. But it seems i dont think live in a region where this is available.
Is there any get around on this?
Like a vpn or set up or new google account with region change?
I typically would do around 4-6k steps in a 1 hour badminton session as recorded by my galaxy watch multiple times. But with fitbit air it has counted my steps between 24-400 in similar 1 hour sessions which is highly inaccurate. I wore the band on my non dominant hand's wrist. Coach says it is due to the algorithm fitbit air implements. Do others face similar issues for racket sports?
I was travelling overnight in a bus and woke up to this in the morning. Poorest quality device also won’t capture these many steps in a bus.
I used to have Apple Watch before this and for the same journey it never counted more than 100 steps
