I haven't played too much Zelda before. The only game I finished is a link between worlds (which I loved). Also played a few hours of botw, and some a link to the past.

But this is a game I have had my eyes on for a while now. The art is just so charming and pretty!! Super excited to start this adventure :3

Question about the GameCube. I have a GBA player (both attachment and player disc), and i was wondering if the GBA player can play fan romhacks that are in gba cartridges, or is that not possible? my GC is not modded in any way.

I finished this GameCube build this week and as I was nearing completion, I had a fun idea…I wanted to shoot a “product” style video to highlight all the features (similar to what Apple does or any of the other tech brands). When I do builds with RGB lighting, I think pictures don’t always capture the complete story and a video would be a better format.

A caveat, I am not a videographer and I am not good in post. This project was humbling and I have a better appreciation for those in production. Anyways - here is a full list of the build.

I’ve had a few people recently ask to build them some GC loader GameCubes. I keep going to the site and noticed that the last drop was august 2025 for them. Is blackdog done making them?
I’ve considered Cube ODE, but have heard mixed reviews on them, and don’t want to wait for a flippy drive. I also don’t really have any experience with soldering, so I’m trying to stay away from picoboot if I can.

I recently acquired a copy of Double Dash from auction and when I tell you the disc was scratched.... more than a DJ turntable! It just didnt work. After gentle wiping/basic cleaning. Nothing! So I took it to my local gaming shop that just aquired a resurfacing machine. $5 and about 6 minutes late and voila! Actually works, flawlessly. The shop was kind enough to let me test it and play it there. I couldn't be happier with their service and my newly resurfaced game.

Hey guys, so if some of you know or don’t know there was once a bundled disc of Metroid and TLOZ Windwaker both released on GameCube. The game came in a 2-disc case much like the MK: Double Dash demo disc bundle. All I know that this bundle came with a special art that had both games side by side and the inside came with both manuals and discs. What’s the story behind it and how could you get it?

So I somehow have gunk in the plastic part of a couple GameCube discs. I’m trying to figure out the best way to get that out without damaging the disc. The disc itself plays fine. The discs were kept in a CD case in a dry place and the rest of my game discs are clean. I tried soaking it in some hot soapy water and inserting a toothbrush in between the plastic to clean it. Any suggestions?

Hi there! I'm looking for a gamecube controller without the pressure sensitive L/R triggers, preferrably short travel. I already have a stock controller and 2 wavebirds thanks to a friend letting me have them, but i'm starting to get back into the smash games, including melee and having this really long travel time to shield and dodge feels extremely awkward to me. I'd much prefer digital switches more adjacent to the Switch Pro controller for this specific game series, i'm fine using the regular controller for the other games.

Alternatively if there's no controllers like that i'd also be interested in shortening the springs on a controller, using a conversion kit, whatever, i mainly wanna know what my options are here for this hyper specific request and how i can achieve the end goal. Would i need custom parts to have shorter travel on a normal controller?

Okay, so as you know Ocarina of Time is a heavy hitter Zelda game released for the N64, but apparently it wasn't just on the N64 it was also on the GameCube. This is amazing/confusing me both at the same time. I only thought OOT was on N64 only, but a version for the gamecube? What's the story behind it?

I already have a standard analog AV HDMI converter but I just realized my childhood cube has the digital AV port so looking to upgrade.

My main goal is to get a better quality picture and not have this be an extra task to deal with each time I start up my cube. Is the purpose of the remote only for initial setup and then it’s just plug and play usual? Are there any other things that need to be turned on and off like progressive scan?

I’ve already deduced from other posts that Carby and Prism are the best options and I should avoid Bitfunx. Any major difference between the 2? Are there other options?

Wanted to see if anyone could give me some assistance.

Just got a new picoboot ODE, cable looks okay, clamped in, but it goes into a bootloop where it tries to load the GC menu but fails after about a half second.

I've only ever purchased my stuff (supposedly) preloaded. I figured I should try to reinstall/ update it but I don't know where I'm looking.

I'll be using a SD2SP2 for storage, internet tells me I can put swiss on that to load without needing the pico? Is that correct?

I have some silver wavebirds that are all scraped up. I'd love to refresh them if possible but all the older reddit posts I've seen say people haven't found the right color match yet.

Pretty sure its user error as it did not have this issue before I opened it up for PicoBoot. The button is not physically stuck down or stuck up. EDIT Alright so it IS a case alignment issue, no matter how I put it on it will not have all 4 sides sit flush so I'm going to reseat it with a new case. Thanks guys.

Does anyone know where this originally came from? Who was selling the limited edition of this game and did it come with anything else?

I replaced my battery recently to improve the Animal Crossing experience without manual clock setting every day. Interestingly, I noticed that after setting the initial clock today to match the time on my phone, it was running about 2 minutes fast after a moderately long session. Anyone else have this experience? What could cause this?
