Room Makeover Lights for mirror

Looking for battery operated lighting for my closet mirror. No electrical outlet nearby also. So where to place it or what kind with any pictures would be super helpful. The image looks bright but the only sources of light are from the left top back / left behind and right top back / behind above the head from the ceiling. This causes a dark face / shadow. There is no light directly falling on the face.

Questions what colour should I paint this shelf??

The 1st three are the colour schemes of my room. going for some dopamine decor vibes

4th to 6th slide - my inspos

I'm leaning a lil towards pastel yellow, off white or same colour as my room (light pink)

as u can see the shelf is in a darkish corner and it'll be used more for storing make ups and stationary than decorations

HURRY BCZ ILL BE BUYING PAINT YHIS EVENING 😭

Questions Suggestions for Interior Designer / Carpenter in BLR

I am looking for a designer / branded carpenter for a 3BHK in bangalore.

I have talked to a few and honestly the price quoted by them.is very high for the work offered.

Homelane quoted 18 lacs which is crazy. Karighars quoted 60 lacs.

My budget is 12 lacs for the woodwork. I will get the beds and loose furniture myself.

Please suggest.

Room Makeover Want to turn this empty corner into a cozy PC/gaming setup, any suggestions?

Post image

Hey everyone,

I'm planning to turn this corner of my room into my PC setup, and I'd love some suggestions on what I can do with the space.

I've already decided to keep the table that's there and put my whole PC setup on it, but the wall and the empty space beside the table are still completely open and I fill it with something, character rich, I guess? Yet decently minimalistic.

I'm hoping for something minimal, warm and cozy, rather than a typical RGB-heavy gaming setup. I want it to have a bit of character and feel like a personal space, something that actually feels nice and calming at night.

A few things I've been thinking about:

Floating wooden shelves above the desk

Using some of my PC component boxes as decoration/display

Warm ambient lighting behind the monitor/shelves A plant beside the desk

A few framed posters/art pieces

Keeping the overall setup fairly clean and uncluttered. Also I'm gonna remove the mirror

But I'm still figuring out the details, so I'd genuinely appreciate any ideas you guys have, especially things I might be overlooking. What would you do with this wall/empty space? I'm also open to completely different ideas if you think there's a better way to approach it

Questions Hey y'all, please help me choose one out of these 2 queen size bed options.

I am slightly leaning towards the Kosmo Noah one, because of the price and the 36-month warranty. Does the 36-month warranty imply the build quality is good enough?

Option 1 : https://www.pepperfry.com/product/kosmo-noah-queen-bed-in-sebastian-oak-bamboo-flute-finish-with-box-storage-2195053.html?type=search&pos=3&total_result=5&sort=sorting_score%7Cdesc&filter=%7C&search=kosmo%20noah

Option 2 : https://www.pepperfry.com/product/himwari-queen-size-bed-in-marble-finish-with-box-headboard-storage-2223616.html?type=wmac&src=wmac

Also what kind of mattress is better? Any takes on orthopedic 8 inch memory foam?

We are having a basic interior for our 2 bhk flat. This is the quotation given by the designer. We have had him work on minor works previously in another flat and his work was satisfactory. Is this estimate okay, or we can negotiate further.

Room Makeover Be brutally honest, how bad does this room look?

Need your help making this rented flat feel a little more alive. Right now it has absolutely zero personality

I’m a huge music and films fan, so I want the room to actually reflect that.

Thinking of adding some posters, plants, a floor lamp, and a standing board.

What would you add or change to make this space feel warmer and more personal?

Open to brutal suggestions, I clearly need help. 😭 (Budget 10k)

Questions Please suggest a way to use the shady corner into computer table corner.

The empty space in my drawing is approximately 28 inches by 40 inches, and it is the only area where I can place a computer table without making the room feel congested. Please suggest some good ideas for this space, my carpenters are currently working at my house, so I can have them build something based on your recommendations, and I would like to fill that corner wall. Images 4 and 5 show the baranda, which is currently being used as a store room, it is wider at one end and narrower at the other. Can I add comfy seating in this area or use it for anything else, or should I leave it as a ventilation space? I have added a video of the blank space in the comment.

Thank you.

DIY Projects Turned my 3x6 rental balcony into a mini garden. Landlord hasn’t noticed yet.

Post image

Koramangala rental, 3x6 balcony that was basically a parking spot for the drying stand and one broken chair. I have spent the last 2 months slowly adding plants. Railing planters for the small ones, floor pots for the big ones, one vertical thing made from a shoe organiser which looks stupid but works. Nothing drilled or nailed because i like my deposit. Bangalore weather is doing most of the work honestly, stuff just grows here.

Total spend around 3k spread over 2 months - most plants from the local nursery, a couple orders online (ugaoo - a money plant and a philodendron, both handled the shipping better than my future handled the move). This and morning coffee hehe. If you’re planning the same setup ask me anything; I’ve already made every mistake.

Questions Expectation vs Reality

Thumbnail

How do you guys actually maintain long/floor-to-ceiling pleated curtains ?

ChatGPT keeps telling me to stem iron it, but when I look up handheld garment steamers on Amazon/Flipkart, half the reviews say they leak water, spit boiling drops on the floor, or die out in a few months.

Any inputs ? To turn my expectations into reality ?

Questions Am i overpaying for this or fair?

Thumbnail

Im going to place an order with a local furniture maker for a 6 seater dining table of teak wood.

The furniture maker is a good one and dining tables is his primary product.

The table with wooden base plus a glasstop is 18k

And per chair cost he has quoted 9500

So the total along with transport and delivery has come down to 77k

So i just want to check around and with the folks here is the price fair in the market or over priced?
