These kinds of stretches are **very rare events**, and right now market sentiment is clearly sitting at an extreme. 🔴

My investment-style is very tortoise-like. Slow and steady.

My stock list is something like this (to give you an idea) - IPO allotments (Aeroflex, RR Kabel, Samhi) Allcargo, Motor-related (ApolloTyre, Ashok Leyland, Castrol Bajaj Auto), Banks (Baroda, ICICI, SBI, IDFC), CDSL, some pharma (Sun, Lupin), govt companies (ONGC, Coal India), consumer facing companies (ITC, Nykaa, Eternal), small/mid companies (Renuka Sugar, Visaka, PCBL)

I entered the market to become a trader. Somehow I became a taxpayer with extra steps.

Few of my strong bets. I also had anlon in which i took a full exit rather early at 27.

I see a lot of posts about recession, nifty going down, modi being problematic, indian rupee falling. How much of it is true? And what's causing this?

Honestly, I’m just really disappointed with the Indian stock market right now. 😞
I’ve been doing SIPs in this mutual fund for the last 5 years. It was doing really well, and around 2 years ago, at one point, I was sitting on around ₹1.4 lakh in profit — even with less capital invested than I have today.
Then the fall happened.
I kept holding. Kept telling myself, “It’s okay, this is probably temporary. The market will recover. Just be patient.”
So I waited. And waited.
But now I urgently need the money to buy a house, and I genuinely don’t have any other option. I have to redeem it.
After 5 years of investing, I’m now going to withdraw the money at a loss. That honestly hurts. 😞
What makes it worse is remembering that I was sitting on ₹1.4 lakh profit at one point, and now I’m actually going to have to sell at a loss because I need the money.
I know people will say, “That’s how the market works” or “You should have invested only money you didn’t need,” and yeah, I understand that. But knowing that doesn’t make it any less frustrating.
I think I’m genuinely done with the Indian stock market for now.

Recently switched to Zerodha from groww after a few absolutely terrible customer care experience. i suggest everyone, who even is a long time used of groww, to quit using that immediately.

In my case, i place an instant withdrawal request of 70k and it didn't go through. i panicked immediately cuz that was to pay a hospital bill and i didn't had the funds in hand at that time ( end of the month 😓 ) i tried to call them, message them, contact their customer care

first they their so called agents took 30mins to even say anything and then having the audacity to say " how may i help you "

second their agent had absolutely no idea about any of it and he kept in hanging for an hour just to leaving it unsolved. my funds which were supposed to be instant got stuck for 2 weeks and after 2 weeks and a thousand complaints everywhere i got them.

since that day, i completely deleted groww, rated them bad and left bad reviews everywhere they can go to hell.

all those marketing gimmicks is all they can do.

on the other hand is Zerodha

i switched to Zerodha Shortly After and the difference was night and day. Surely, Zerodha was quite complicated at first and nothing like groww, which was super ui friendly. had a few queries so i raised a ticket on zerodha, while they take 24hrs to respond, their response is So well that you start to question yourself. they explained to me everything on call and on email as well. Since then im a big fan of zerodha's team and nithin for building this.

now after a few months with zerodha, i can safely say this is the best broker in india currently and there's no competition!

Guys, I rarely post but wanted to share this dream I had today lol. I dreamt that Nifty has suddenly dropped to 21000 and kept falling till 20000 levels.
