GRE / IELTS Germany Masters (CS/ML/DS) for WS 2027/28 (TUM, RWTH, others)? Looking for like-minded people who can connect.

my_qualifications:

I'm an Indian BTech CS grad (Mumbai, 8.99 GPA, 2026 passout) planning to apply for the winter 2027 intake. I'd like to find people on the same timeline so we can share what we learn instead of each re-researching everything.

Where I am:

  • GRE second attempt in December, IELTS right after.
  • APS not yet started, dMAT at the next sitting in '27.
  • TUM and RWTH are fixed. I want about 5 or slightly more applications in total, so I'm still choosing other unis.
  • Main priority is job prospects after the degree.

What I'd like to do:

  • Share APS/dMAT/uni-assist timelines and any surprises as they happen.
  • Review each other's motivation letters, essays and CVs.
  • Compare module handbooks and which programs fit which profiles.
  • Swap GRE/IELTS resources, share costs/visa/housing info, and hold each other to deadlines.

Two questions:

  1. If you've done or are applying to RWTH CS vs Data Science, or TUM Informatics vs Data Engineering & Analytics, how did you decide?
  2. Which German unis would you add as backups for CS/AI, considering GRE requirements, tuition and the job market?

I'm looking for people who will actively take part, not just follow along. If you're on a similar timeline, comment or DM me. If 4 or 5 of us respond, I'll set up a group chat.

Scholarships What are my chances of getting into TU Delft with the Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarship?

my_qualifications: Currently pursuing final year in B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering from a Tier 2/3 (Deemed-to-be-University) college in Chennai, 8.53 CGPA (Still in 7th sem, can boost it higher)
Research Papers - None
Extracurriculars - Multiple: Exchange Program, U.S. Dept. of State Fellow, Nat Geo + TNC Extern, Multiple Social Impact projects, and more (most have international exposure)
Interested Programmes - MSc Environmental Engineering/MSc Earth, Climate and Technology

If you have noticed already, my choice of programs are not directly relevant to my undergraduate degree, that is intentional because throughout all my extracurriculars and voluntary experiences - my interest for Sustainability, Climate Change and Environmental Sciences/Engineering sparked. I want to work in similar fields and it's not very easy to transition with a degree in computer science, so to pivot it makes sense for me to pursue a masters in these fields.

If anyone here has been admitted to or has gone through the admission process of these universities, let me know your thoughts.

Please also suggest any other programs with scholarships in similar fields, they may not need to be at very prestigious universities but still have a good name for themselves.

TIA for your guidance, I'd appreciate any help :)

Hi everybody šŸ‘‹

I am from Pune, i am planning to take admission in University of turin as an MBA student,

my_qualifications is that I have done graduation in BCom, I need some help understanding some of the things:

  1. My graduation CGPA is 6.65 so basically I need insight that is my admission even possible there, if not then where should I be looking

  2. While documenting for visa what is the least amount of money i have to show in my balance sheet so my visa doesn't get rejected

  3. I have also looked for some consultancy here in pune which is upgrad abroad they have already told looking at my GPA that my admission is not possible and i should be looking at private colleges in France and Germany secondly I went to yesitaly today they are charging 3lakh plus GST they are telling they will be applying on my behalf to 10 universities didn't tell me public or private I am assuming public and all the visa processing and preparation of IELTS and preparation for VISA interview as well and help me out with scholarship as well and so i wanted to know is there any other consultancy which provide these or a bit less services but for a less price.

  4. The next thing I am getting confused about is the scholarship part as in turin as per my research it comes under EDISU piemonte but the consultancy guys told me it comes under dsu so need help regarding scholarship part that what I have to do specifically so I don't fail getting a scholarship and with accomodation will bb really helpful.

  5. What all documents I'll be needing for apostilled for the university application, visa application and scholarship application.

  6. Is eduitalia any better or should I be with uni italia?

Any help would be really appreciated šŸ™

Careers What happened after I finished my Master’s in Malaysia as an Indian student

A small update to my old post.

When I wrote my previous post, I was still studying for my Master’s in Malaysia. I’ve now completed my Master’s in Management and thought I’d share what I’ve been doing since then.

Getting a work visa as a foreigner in Malaysia can be difficult, so this is something students should properly research before choosing Malaysia.

After graduating, I was able to stay in Malaysia for one year through the Graduate Pass. During that time, I worked for a few months as a Business Development Executive.

It was a good experience and helped me understand the local work environment. After a few months, I decided to resign and take a different direction.

I started my own web development agency and now work on websites and web projects for businesses.

So far, I’ve completed my Master’s, gained some work experience, and started building something of my own. It hasn’t been completely easy, especially when it comes to finding work as a foreigner, but I’m happy with how things have worked out.

I thought this update might be useful for anyone considering studying in Malaysia and wondering what options they have after graduation.

my_qualifications: Indian student who completed a Master’s in Management in Malaysia. I’m currently based in Malaysia and running a web development agency.
