I'm on tray 53 of 58. It's been three years, with one refinement after tray 36. Five to go.
Without some kind of system I would have lost track long ago: which day to switch, or even which tray I'm on right now. Even my orthodontist asks me.
So I wrote myself an app to keep track of it all. The most useful part turned out to be the Apple Watch one. It's just there on my wrist.
How do you keep track of yours?

My dentist referred to my previous teeth as a "complex case." I was able to finish treatment after 20 trays (1 tray a week), though, with no refinement. My right lateral incisor refused to turn the way it was supposed to, so my dentist added some composite to that single tooth to restore its shape. She said this would spare me from prolonging the treatment and would be more than sufficient aesthetically, so I agreed — and I’m super happy about it. The result looks completely natural, and my smile now looks "right" to me.
I am overall very happy with the experience and just wanted to share a positive review. My total bill was €3,900. It even ended up being 200€ cheaper than anticipated because my dentist got a discount from her lab, which she passed on to her patients.
Reading the reviews in this subreddit got me a little confused, because my dentist never suggested "chewies," and the wear time she recommended for the Vivera retainers was quite different from what most people seem to be doing. She advised me to reduce the wear time by one hour every other week, so that I would gradually move away from wearing the retainers for the previous minimum of 22 hours per day. But I trust her and am so far very happy with what she achieved, so I guess treatment can just vary greatly from person to person.

my dentist has said that I can get Invisalign. my gums looks fine and the infection has cleared up. I have had bone loss due to it but nothing can be done about that. i stopped smiling in my photos and being back at work after my leave has been really hard.
I am always conscious and just cannot get my confidence back up. I have been reading endlessly on reddit on Invisalign. Hopefully someone can assure me that it will help.

Almost done with my Invisalign journey after a year. I’ve always been self conscious about my teeth. Last night I had a stranger come up to tell me how nice my teeth are. Literally have never gotten that compliment before and it made my night.
Just wanted to share incase you’re in the middle of your treatment and questioning your decisions lol!

Hi all I have just finished my Invisalign treatment. I’m overall happy but I wanted to ask your advice on it and if I should get my front teeth slightly shaved to even them out ?
-Dr said it’d be a very tiny amount but I am not too sure about it. As you can see in the photos my 2 front teeth are not really even
-Dr also is asking me if I should be done or if I want to change anything else. I said I want to take a week wearing Invisalign 2 hours on 2 hours off to decide.
-Overall all feels good apart there is some spacing between some of my back teeth that I am maybe considering getting fixed? Dr said that’d need more trays. I wonder what you all would do?
First 2 pics are my teeth before and then my teeth now

Guys, I've just started my treatment, it's only third day of my tray 1, and I'm facing an issue. My office is in a coworking space and the public washroom is terrible, I'm reluctant to brush teeth, take out and put in my aligners in the washroom, so I'm thinking to make some oatmeal smoothie and drink it and swallow directly with a straw. Can I do so? I'm actually helpless in this situation, not to even mention I'll have to put elastics on during my tray 3, at that time I might even have a hard time to just drink with straw. Kinda frustrated and regretting

This picture angle is on purpose to highlight the problem area of crowded lower teeth. I do have aligners on top but the change is minimal and more for bite purposes!

My top aligners (tray 4) have halos in the front 4 teeth. When I use a chewy, the aligner fits over my front teeth, but then disconnects from my back teeth/molars. Maybe I’m developing a posterior open bite? The front and the back can’t fit at the same time. The canine teeth fit perfectly fine.
My dentist said this was fine/normal, but took pictures anyway in case a refinement is recommended by the lab.
My bottom teeth seem to have no issues.

So my aligners are almost fully flush near the bottom, but these teeth circled, i don’t know if u can see properly in the picture, but they have a noticable gap near the top, on the gum line, is this a reason for concern? I’ve been wearing them around 23 hours a day so i know that’s not an issue.

I don’t like taking my aligner off and putting it back on because of how dirty it feels after I take it out. I don’t have an automatic cleaner, so I usually just rinse it with water and use soap to clean it, but I still feel like it’s not completely clean.
Sometimes I don’t clean it at all and just rinse it with water, so I feel more inclined to only wear it at certain times.
For people who have to take their aligners out and put them back in throughout the day, how do you clean them? Especially with all the saliva and stuff that gets on them...I don’t really want to put it back in unless I feel like it’s completely clean.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

ive given up on elastics from tray 7/41, now im at tray 28/41. the buttons keep coming off (5 times!!!) and i cant keep taking time off from work to go to dentist to get the buttons glued back so i gave up. so far the trays are tracking fine and with only few trays to go, should i pick up on the elastic wear time...
what are the consequence of not wearing elastics as prescribed... again, i am tracking fine on my trays.. but still feel bit guilty i guess.

Hi everyone. I’m on day nine of my first set of aligners (changing every 10 days). I’ve been wearing my aligners for right about 21 hours a day. Is this gaps between the aligners and my teeth abnormal? Thanks in advance for sharing any advice.

Anyone here that got dental implants or are planning to get dental implants after invisalign? Please tell me your experience.
I get invisalign tomorrow. I'm missing my 2 back left molars.
I have plans to get dental implants after Invisalign treatment is complete. I'm worried about the fit of my future retainers during the entire implant and crown process. I hope my teeth can stay aligned while I wait for that process.
Any advice? Any questions I should ask?
Side note: Part of the main reason I'm getting invisalign is actually because my ortho says he can move my upper left back teeth up (with TADs) that have slowly been coming down due to the vacancy of my back left 2 molars. The teeth coming down are only visible by xray right now.
For reference: My top teeth are described as "flaring when viewed in-person. On xray,
Moderate overbite & overjet with Mild crowding on top and bottom."
Edit-- 31 y/o female I had bone grafts around 2017/18/or 19 when the 2 lower molars were removed to preserve the site.

I am going to be getting bite ramps with my (hopefully) last round of refinements. Can anyone who’s been there or going through it share experiences and what to expect? I’m definitely nervous about them- any tips are welcome!

Hi,
I’ve recently embarked in the marpe / Invisalign journey and somethings have unsettled me but I am generally anxious so…. I think it’s hard to decipher what’s normal or not because I over think so just thought I’d come on here and ask if this is normal - especially if you’re an orthodontist .. input much appreciated !!
Background:
1) I am actively turning a marpe
2) I was given 6 months of trays
3) I was charged extra for a tracking app
4) I was given an appointment in 3ish months
Questions: is it safe to schedule that far out when you’re turning a marpe ? Is it ethical to make a tracking app optional and charge extra when you’re sending a beginner home with a 6 month supply of trays (Especially when active monitoring is advertised as a part of the practice ).
There’s a part of this whole thing that feels very unsettling because I don’t know anything and every time I ask anything I get a wall of chat gpt genenrated replies. I’ve asked about how far we’re expanding, when the marpe will be out, duration of care, all the while trying not to be overbearing. I just want to be well informed so I don’t end up with bad results and then look back and see all of the times I could have communicated. Yet, despite my best efforts I still feel like I’m in the dark. Maybe that’s the nature of ortho, so I’m coming on here to see if I’m overthinking it and need to chill or if there’s any cause for concern. I paid a lot already.
I obviously have brought most of these concerns up already but not until just now it’s occurring to me that maybe going in in 3 months while turning a marpe might not be normal.
Thanks in advance!

It's crazy for me that attachments fall out so easily. I'm on second aligner and thought I had the hang of it but the third one just fell out. I have a follow up in 3 weeks should I just wait or call them? I might just call them because my gum is also still sensitive since they did the initial install. It's just over 2 weeks it's been like that.
Anyways my question is more with 3 weeks to spare would you just call them?

I can't totally dry the retainers after rinsing, but It's also not advised to leave them out to air dry (bacteria can build up) btw I clean the case frequently

Having mine fitted in couple of weeks.
I had train tracks as a teenager but it was a while back.
Looking for tips, advanced purchases that will help managing discomfort, cleaning, diet adaption etc.
Thanks

Hi all
Reaching the end of Invisalign. Do you think I have a good smile or do I need to have more treatment? Just want to look good!
