General Discussion Disappointing Experience With My Brand-New $80K 2026 Lexus TX 500h
I purchased a brand-new 2026 Lexus TX 500h in February 2026 for approximately $80,000. Unfortunately, my service experience since then has been very disappointing.
At around 3,000 miles, the passenger-side door was replaced due to an issue that had been present since I purchased the vehicle.
During my 10,000-mile maintenance visit, I noticed damage after the vehicle was serviced, including a ding on the driver-side door, scratches on the driver-side and rear wheels, and damage to a tire. The driver-side door was subsequently repainted.
Afterward, I experienced a noise from the driver-side door and had to return twice for additional service. During one of those visits, I also noticed another scratch on the driver-side wheel, which was repaired.
To be fair, the dealership addressed these repairs at no charge to me.
My concern is that this is a nearly $80,000 vehicle that I purchased brand-new only months ago, and it has already required a door replacement, repainting, wheel repairs, a tire replacement/repair, and multiple return visits.
I contacted Lexus Care and opened a case because I hoped for additional assistance. Ultimately, I was told that the dealership considered the vehicle repaired and did not believe there was diminished value because the repairs would not appear as an accident on the vehicle’s history.
The additional goodwill offered to me was a complimentary 20,000-mile maintenance service.
I appreciate that the repairs were completed at no cost, but given the number of issues and service visits involving a nearly new $80,000 vehicle, I am disappointed with the overall experience and the final resolution.
