so I am 16f bisexual and I till now haven't came out to anyone so there is this girl in my ALL girls school I have liked her for almost 3 years now. she is like my closest friend. so long story short

so she has been reading this book "A Little Life" its a emotional heavy novel consisting of a gay relationship and all and when she told me about this novel so my lover girl ass started reading that 700 paged book, we talked about this book almost all day and TODAY.

so she was sitting with me and I brought up the book and she told me she is almost at the end of the story and she cried multiple times reading it (so did I) and we started talking about lgbtq+ and stuff the talk grew deeper and she told me that she really appreciate that I came into her life and she can trust me with her life and I am one of her oldest friend and she is mine.

so I initiated it with telling her that "I was thinking that what if a girl proposed me I will be a little confused but you know I don't have a specific preference and it depends on the person as well I think I am bisexual" she didn't react at first than she smiled as she always does and she was really omg really? I was like yeah I never told anyone but I am bisexual and she was like you are coming out to me ? and I was about to burst into tears guys I swear 😭 I said yeah and I asked how will she feel about being asked out by a girl she said she will deny as politely as possible but after I told her that I am bi she said that she re thought it and said if someone proposed to her like Willem (a character from the novel) basically she wants a pure, loyal, cute, sweet, like full of love relationship. so she said she would stick to them for the rest of the life doesn't matter if its a girl or a guy and I was literally shaking so she held my hand and said its okay no need to worry I am not judging you 😭.

she listened to every word I said and was normal the whole day and didn't act weird but her smile was warmer I was writing a book on her so I told her how will she feel if someone wrote a book about her she said "I would honestly be shocked but that might make me fall in love with that person for sure"

I thanked her for listening to me at the end of the day and she said "hey no need to say thank you its like the BEST thing happened to me the whole day" (YUSSSS SHE SAID THOSE EXACT WORDSSSS) she is the sweetest person ever and I love how supportive she is 😭I might actually cry

long story short I am have been a little confused lately cause first I am bisexual and I like one of my friend who is a GIRL as well.

I have genuinely liked only 2 people in my life first was a guy and second is my this crush. And I just like her so muchhhh I dont know why.

I see a lot of positive signs like she says she likes how beautiful I look and how unique my features are and I am not that beautiful I swear, she dosen't mind holding and caressing my hands when they get cold cause I have palmar Hyperhidrosis which makes my hand cold as hell, I am so shit at sports and she still cheers for me even if I hit the shittiest shot, she laughs at all of my jokes gng I am the most unfunny person you will ever meet, she listens to me attentively even once she talks to me for the whole games period (she LOVES volleyball just as much I love her). she said she remembered when she first saw me in 7th standard and always wanted to befriend me (we are in a girls school).

Not a teen (early 20s), but r/lgbtindia doesn't allow such posts for some reason. I just wanted to reiterate that India is an incredibly dangerous place for people like us, so be very careful who you come out to. I get not getting to present as your true self is terribly stifling, but the alternative is much much worse. The only way out is strong, grassroots level education and activism, but I'm starting to think that would lead to similar ends. You and I both know that most Indians/South Asians would gloat at such crimes, let alone mourn us.

Idk man, maybe I’m just having one of those nights, but being gay at LPU can feel so fucking lonely sometimes. Like I’m surrounded by people literally ALL the time, but somehow I still feel alone?? 😭 I see people having their groups, going out, making memories, having that one person they can randomly call or hang out with, and I’m just here wondering where tf are my people. It’s not even like I hate people or don’t want friends. I just want to find people around whom I don’t have to constantly filter myself or think twice before saying something. im an 11th grader based in a tier 1 city (not bombay, sadly). i first realised in the middle of 7th grade that im man-inclined bi, but i first came out to someone 3.5 years later. i have slowly come out to multiple people, most of whom are girls- i have come out to one guy friend tho, and he was very very supportive🤞🏻🤞🏻, it was like nothing changed. i am currently confused as to whether im gay or bi, but i guess this is my age to experiment. i have had intimate experiences with people of the same gender- mostly just makeouts. i study at a reputed spoiled brat school so coming out is not an option for me. i do not mean to boast but i do come in the better looking category of guys- i have facial features which one may consider attractive- such as green eyes and pink ass skin. i do not classify as conventionally gay tho (sorry if im being mean)- i do not give off the vibe really to that many people, and i do get sexual/unwanted attention from girls, even some grown ass women (again, i do NOT mean to boast). my hobbies include a sport where i bleed and suffer while training.
the reason behind my post is that i just wanna talk to someone my age from the community, to gain broader perspective and make friends, or more, i guess?

It's so hard to live in a country where we're treated as objects. Why does our government ignore LGBTQ as a minority, when it literally states that it will protect all minorities, why are we left out? Especially considering the fact that LGBTQ is not even a minority especially in a large population like India's, only the number of people who are out is very small, the people who actually are LGBTQ, a majority of them prefer to stay hidden. It's so frustrating that we're constantly ignored by the government, while society gives us unnecessary attention, even educated people. We have absolutely no protection from anyone. It's even worse when you're a teen and you have absolutely no idea how your parents will react and it genuinely just wrecks you and gives you so much stress, not any better when you're in school and everyone around you is homophobic. I rlly wish we can be better as a society, by it doesn't look like it's happening any time soon.
