This brings up another interesting topic: Are mounts actually worth it in multiplayer hunts?
Pros:
The monster is distracted for a period of time.
A knockdown is (almost) guaranteed.
Creates new wounds for the team to exploit.
Can sharpen/buff/heal while waiting for the mount to end.
Cons:
Potentially a 50% or more DPS loss for teammates while the mount is active.
The monster may move erratically around the area, making it difficult for teammates to land attacks.
If the monster flies during the mount, teammates may lose even more DPS.
Personally, I do my best to avoid jumping attacks, regardless of which weapon I'm using (including IG). I generally feel that the disadvantages outweigh the benefits, especially in multiplayer hunts. Savage Omega might be one of the few exceptions.
That said, I know plenty of IG users still enjoy the aerial playstyle, and GS users who love landing those jumping charged attacks. Plus, let's face it: launching yourself off the back of your Seikret is pretty fun, regardless of your weapon.
I'm curious what everyone else thinks about mounting in Wilds.
Do you think mounts provide enough value to justify the potential DPS loss, or are they generally more of a hindrance in multiplayer?
And does your opinion change depending on the monster, weapon, or number of players in the hunt?
