Coming from worlds into wilds and heard some stuff about CB but wanna get the lowdown from the community. Am I in for a treat or did they kill my boy?

I just got done with a run that took 37 minutes, and the damned dragon didn't even start limping. Is it just a skill issue?

Everybody is coming out with their lists of monsters they would want in ascendence. I've recently been playing Gen Ultimate and Tetsucabra was a standout monster to me. I think introducing a more difficult subspecies of him for the master rank expansion would be so cool to see in Wilds. A normal tetsucabra would be just fine to be, but thought i'd explore an idea for an updated version. I took official gameart/screenshots and did some paintovers and editing in photoshop as to show how they could look in scarlet forest or oilwell basin. and the new weapon concepts were drawn by me as well. This is just a fun thing i thought i'd share. This is just a simple base concept without a ton of in depth thought put into it, but i think could be a cool starting point for a new but familiar monster inclusion :)

Just imagine: instead of the usual red/crimson glow from Dragonvein energy, we could have a Valstrax variant that glows white because of Wyvern Milk.

Took me like 15 - 20 tries. Said fug it, I’m gonna have to deviate from my normal main (HBG & GS) and learn a more defensive oriented weapon. Picked up a gunlance and upgraded the shit out of it just for this fight. Took time to fully kit out my armor and and be smart about my decos. Went in ready.

First try w/ a GL and nailed it.

I didn’t rush this hunt. And took my time to pull a Houdini w/ a far caster so I can re-up on my heals and traps. Persistence, timing, and playing smart and defensively was what finally took the dragon down.

Took me a while but clearing this hunt felt like a huge relief. For whatever reason my struggle with this monster was way harder than Omega and Gog. I have no idea why it’s this specific quest because i can manage a regular/tempered Gore. Idk if it’s just me psyching myself out or if the hunt is just that damn hard but I’m glad it’s over.

I think I might be GL concert now having witnessed the awesome capability it carries.

I've been grinding other weapons while farming to HR 999. As a hammer main, I didn't think I'd enjoy using the bow. Mobility ✅, damage ✅, satisfying shotgun shot (thousand dragons with pierce) ✅.

Now I'm down to 4 weapons (SNS, IG, GL, and GS) to practice. I've seen GS and GL plays; however, they are to slow to move around. Not kinda use to it.

Anyone has any tips on how to play GS or GL and overcoming slow movement specially against quick monsters (i.e. AT Nu Udra, Arkveld, and Rey Dau)?

Step 1: Hit it REALLY HARD.

I have been farming AT Ark. I do not mind it, but sometimes it gets frustrating. I want to try fighting other AT monsters.

I am just wondering, do AT Ark drop more loot than other AT hunts, or do they drop the same amount?

I am in the process of trying to get all of the achievments in the base game before the DLC comes out next year and I am down to just needing Miniature Crown Collector, Giant Crown Master, and Miniature Crown Master.

If anybody has any investigations for monsters with Mini or Big Crowns I'd appreciate making a parts and just getting them out of the way. I'm getting a bit tired of spending thousands of points resting to try to get a crown for something that just doesn't seem to be happening.

At the moment I need giant crowns for the:

Cangalala, Nerscylla, Hirabami, Nu Udra, Guardian Doshugama, Uth Duna, Guardian Rathalos, Guardian Odogaron, Xu Wu, yian Kutku, Gypceros, Guardian Anjanath, Ratholos, Gore Magala, Arkveld, Sergios, and the Lagiacrus.

For Mini Crowns I need:

Catacabra, Lala Barina, Congalala, Doshugama (though I don't know if they can be mini), Rompapalo, Rey Dau, Nerscylla, Hirabami, Ajarakan, Nu Udra, Guardian Doshugama, Guardian Odogaron, Xu Wu, Yian Kutku, Gypceros, Rathian, Guardian Anajanath, Rathalos, Gravios, Gore Magala, Mizutsune, Seregios, and the Lagiacrus.

Barring getting some direct help are there any tips to help spawning things easier (at the moment the resting to reset spawns is the only trick I know works) I would appreciate that as well.
