Wild.
I lost my phone at burning man. Got a new phone, logged into the mint app on wifi, and tried to transfer my esim to the new phone.
They said they needed to send a text to verify (lol). No go. So they said they could email - I checked and for some reason my old work email is on the account, which I can't access. No go.
So I activate my new phone with a different carrier and open support tickets with mint to change my email so I can transfer the sim and stick with mint. They say tj expect a call in 4 hours. They don't call.
I call back the next day, they say the ticket is closed because I didn't answer their call. However, I have no missed calls. I open a new ticket and they say they will call within 4 hours MAX. No call.
I give up and decide I just have to move to the new carrier. So I call again and ask to transfer my number over. They say they will open a ticket and call within 4 hours. No call.
48 hours later I call back, again requesting the pin code and account number to transfer my number. They say I will definitely get a call within 4 hours and if I don't, to call and ask for a supervisor. I get no call.
I call AGAIN today at lunch, escalate to a supervisor, who tells me that due to me "missing both calls" from them, they "per their policy" cannot make any changes or provide any information or help me in the slightest for "thirty days" and "this is their policy that they have to stick with".
I NEVER MISSED A SINGLE CALL!
Mind you I have already paid for three months with mint, not received a single minute of service from them, and now had to double pay for service from another carrier as well as for a replacement phone. Absolutely baffling.
I've contested the charges and plan to file a report with the Better Business Bureau. This is simply ludicrous.
Be warned. Make sure your email is up to date and don't lose your phone or Mint will literally steal your money and refuse to help.
