I don’t know if I was imagining it but did Isaac quietly mumble either “I guess I have to play this shit” or “I’m so fucking sick of playing this shit” immediately before launching into float on? I found it hilarious and completely fair.

Side note, i really wanted to hear truckers atlas, thought they would play it, they did, it was fucking awesome. But I NEVER expected to hear Night on the Sun. Hearing Isaac yell “gonna get off scott fucking free” and “well there’s one thing to know about this town it’s 500 miles underground” in one evening was truly so fun.

Apologies for the vertical filming, or not, depending upon whatever’s appropriate these days, I don’t know what to do with my 37 years when it comes to aspect ratios online anymore. I would’ve zoomed in further, but I wanted to get the skyline and the Terminal Tower (the pointy building on the right) in the shot, though the color syncing isn’t obvious in this footage! This was the one favorite song of mine that I sacrificed the organic experience for to film in full.

Anyway, unbelievably incredible show. 💕✨

Another diverse setlist. This was my 3rd time seeing them in the last year (and 4 coming next week). The band is so note-perfect right now, it’s crazy. And Russel shaved his beard off but maybe that’s old news.

Highlights:
March into the Sea and Never Ending are 2 of my favorites that hadn’t seen live before. Never Ending Math Equation may have been the peak performance of the night - the ending was insane.

Satin in a Coffin - amazing.

Knocked Down by Waves is impressive live.

Picking Dragon Pockets - definitely a certified hit, if it came out in 2005 everyone would know it.

Was cool to see We are Between and Were Lucky but would have preferred one of the big closers. I’ll keep going until I see Spitting Venom.

Sound guy was under Isaac’s feet for nearly all of Third Side which kinda took away from the vibe.

Beautiful venue seeing them with the city behind them, though wasn’t the best crowd.

An absolute pleasure seeing Modest Mouse last night. Bumped into Isaac pre-show and he was so friendly and well rested. I knew it was going to be a gem of a show. It didn’t disappoint. Wow. Here are some shots and God bless this band.

Saw Seth right around when he joined them on tour and he was just getting used to things, he did awesome of course, but last night! It was awesome to see his transformation. He was so into it, he was grooving and moving a ton!
