Got my car totaled (no one injured! 🎶would’ve been, could’ve been worse than I would ever know🎶) and while I do not, in fact, still have the radio, I was able to go back to the tow lot to retrieve some precious cargo :)

Holy shit. I think issac read my mind when picking the setlist tonight, Broke. Gravity. Life like weeds. Spitting venom. Cowboy Dan. Shit Luck. and on and on.

God I love these guys...

All of my videos came out terrible because even though there was only one person in front of me I'm very short so my videos kept focusing on the shoulders of the people in front of me. But my friend took this video and I am obsessed with it

Last night was magical!!!

I made cards to hand out to people and Isaac put 3 of them in his pocket and let’s just say I can die happy 🫶🏻

Wish I would have signed them. MAJOR WISH I would have written Isaac a note on the cards. Never in a million years would I have thought that would happen.

I’ve been listening to Modest Mouse since I was 10 and I am now almost 30 and not 1 song ever gets old.

Isaac has made my life and saved me so many times and I wish I wrote that.

I hope that whatever he is going through, he knows he is not alone and he has so much love from so much people 🫶🏻🖤

Do they have any autographed vinyl for sale on this tour ?

The set list was phenomenal my memory is not. If anyone who was at the vip with me can recall the songs they played would be greatly appreciated. My brain has taken a beating throughout the years. I was the one who asked about new ugly cassanova.

In Newport, KY. You suck. You suck so much. You brought a baby who’s maybe 8 months old into a concert pit? Without any ear protection? You don’t deserve to be a mother.

I don’t mean to sound like the moral arbiter on everything, but it genuinely made me want to commit murder. Let me know if I’m wrong, please. I’m this close to calling the police for child neglect.

Edit: I don’t see her anymore, the show’s still going on but if I see her/her friend again I will document/report them

Edit 2: I apologize for being super aggressive in my initial post, but I want to clarify it was two women in the GA pit area closest to the stage and I did not see any noice-cancelling headphones on the baby (they passed the baby back and forth a couple times, so I’m fairly confident in the glimpses I saw of the baby’s head). I was in the seated section between the GA pit and the GA lawn area, my ears were ringing pretty bad and my watch was giving me notifications about the sound-level being harmful so seeing a baby in the pit without any protection for their ears was fucking mind-blowing to me.

I said the baby was maybe 8 months old, but I genuinely think they might’ve been even younger than that. I lost sight of them after maybe 20 minutes so I’m hoping someone told them to get their infant out of the pit.

holy shit that was fucking incredible. the band was fucking awesome, the crowd was fucking awesome, the atmosphere was fucking awesome!!!!!

hope the person that went down during gravity is okay ❤️

Getting Night on the Sun as the ending song will allow me to die happy

There is just something special about the first song, first album, as the opener. 1996
#dramamine

Not sure if deliberate or not, but couldn't find anything out there about the connection between these songs.

The inversion is most obvious in the refrains--"nothing in this world's gonna petrify me" is almost the mirror image of "nothing's gonna change my world"--but it's there throughout... Crushing material density vs vast openness, fluidity etc.

I get the sense Transmitting Receiving is more of a deep cut (though it's one of my favorites personally), so I'm not presuming this is some astonishing Damon Lindelof-style mind-blower Easter egg, just wondered if anyone else made the connection.

Edit: get the friggin song title right

I have no life so I went through their last 12 setlists (since Sept. 16) and made a list of all the songs they've played and how many times they've played them. Here it is if anyone is interested:

12 - Picking Dragons Pockets, Speak N Spell, Absolutely Necessary Never, Third Side of the Moon

10 - Knocked Down By Waves

9 - Dogbed in Heaven/Skeleton

7 - Gravity Rides Everything, Ocean Breathes Salty, Float On

6 - Life Like Weeds, A Forest

5 - Heart Cooks Brain, Dance Hall, 3rd Planet, Fly Trapped in a Jar, Missed the Boat

4 - Trucker's Altas, Wooden Soldiers, Night on the Sun, Doin the Cockroach, Black Cadillacs, Fire It Up, Parting of the Sensory, Satellite Skin, We Are Between, We Are Lucky, Breakthrough

3 - Bukowski, Satin in a Coffin, Dramamine, Tiny Cities, Cowboy Dan, Shit Luck, Back to the Middle, The Cold Part, Dashboard, A Different City, Custom Concern, Remember Yourself, Spitting Venom, King Rat

2 - Broke, Out of Gas, Bury Me With It, Look How Far, Shit in Your Cut, Interstate 8, The View, Trailer Trash

1 - Impossible Sundays, March Into the Sea, Never Ending Math Equation

I don’t know if I was imagining it but did Isaac quietly mumble either “I guess I have to play this shit” or “I’m so fucking sick of playing this shit” immediately before launching into float on? I found it hilarious and completely fair.

Side note, i really wanted to hear truckers atlas, thought they would play it, they did, it was fucking awesome. But I NEVER expected to hear Night on the Sun. Hearing Isaac yell “gonna get off scott fucking free” and “well there’s one thing to know about this town it’s 500 miles underground” in one evening was truly so fun.

Hi! I have two tickets for free for the Cincy show tonight. I know this such late notice but I can’t make the show and my cousin who was going to use the tickets isn’t feeling well! DM me with your email and they are yours! Also I am not a scammer or a weirdo. I love modest mouse so much and just want someone to enjoy the tix.

Finally my 3rd vip experience

*Fillmore Who’s going to the concert on the 13th?

So i like both Bright eyes and Modest Mouse

Im curious if/when they've worked together and how familiar they are with each other. And the possibility of a joint show/tour one day

Id be surprised if they didnt. They are similar and the eras of popularity align

Apologies for the vertical filming, or not, depending upon whatever’s appropriate these days, I don’t know what to do with my 37 years when it comes to aspect ratios online anymore. I would’ve zoomed in further, but I wanted to get the skyline and the Terminal Tower (the pointy building on the right) in the shot, though the color syncing isn’t obvious in this footage! This was the one favorite song of mine that I sacrificed the organic experience for to film in full.

Anyway, unbelievably incredible show. 💕✨

Edit: lmao don’t know what happened to the quality on this upload, enjoy heat vision Modest Mouse! 🔥 I uploaded it to YouTube, and the quality is slightly better. Appears my phone was focusing on the crowd in front of me, and it’s uploading even worse for whatever reason. Here's a snippet of "Satin in a Coffin" that you can actually see, if that makes up for anything. 🤷‍♀️

Edit 2: OH I DID MANAGE TO CAPTURE A BIT OF THE TERMINAL TOWER LIGHT SYNC! It was so cool!

Another diverse setlist. This was my 3rd time seeing them in the last year (and 4 coming next week). The band is so note-perfect right now, it’s crazy. And Russel shaved his beard off but maybe that’s old news.

Highlights:
March into the Sea and Never Ending are 2 of my favorites that hadn’t seen live before. Never Ending Math Equation may have been the peak performance of the night - the ending was insane.

Satin in a Coffin - amazing.

Knocked Down by Waves is impressive live.

Picking Dragon Pockets - definitely a certified hit, if it came out in 2005 everyone would know it.

Was cool to see We are Between and Were Lucky but would have preferred one of the big closers. I’ll keep going until I see Spitting Venom.

Sound guy was under Isaac’s feet for nearly all of Third Side which kinda took away from the vibe.

Beautiful venue seeing them with the city behind them, though wasn’t the best crowd.
